    My kanji writing is getting good. The writing is, by far, my favorite thing about learning japanese. Here in Montréal, everyday, I make myself some tea and read and write japanese sitting on my pillow.. My ultimate yume would be to read Murasaki in the text !

    Hiragana is underrated in the US, but when it comes to calligraphy, it helps with developing some important skills to make beautiful lines and strokes. Starting with simple hiraganas like たこ, わに and ゆめ will help you develop some good brush control skills.

    ka (家) is a suffix used to form words for roles or jobs. You can add it after a noun. It's like "-ian", "-ist", "-er", or other such suffixes in English. Calligraphy + "-er" = calligrapher. shodou (書道) + ka (家) = shodouka (書道家). Another example: manga (漫画) + ka (家) = mangaka (漫画家), a manga artist.

    @dominicdit おおお、うれしい言葉ありがとう! My life has been really hectic and I haven't had time for making videos for JP learning for the past year! BUT I will never stop making JP videos. ひき続きのご支援よろしくおねがいします。

    Just a dumb question, do Japanese kanji followed the same stroke orders (笔画) as Chinese 汉字 did (LOL, I was in Chinese class but never knew how the stroke orders work so I just wrote it in however order I want😑😑)

      No, chinese hanzi and japanese kanji sometimes DO have different stroke orders.

    @dominicdit じゃあ、要望にこたえて書道ビデオも作るかな。次にやるとしたら、「筆の持ち方」かな。

    When someone loves you, the way they talk about you is different. You feel safe and comfortable.

    @dominicdit ほー、日本人の彼女か。日本語教えてもらえるね。書道は上手い先生にちゃんとした筆使いと書道の正しい字の形を教えてもらうまでなかなか上手くならないんだよね。
