Eric, nice work on the simplicity of the motion and the concept.. As you worked through it I noticed that during your initiation of the down swing, you reestablish the flexed position of your trail knee so that both knees are again parallel to the target line.Would you say that this would be a good initiator of the downswing (reestablishing knee flex)?
Appreciate it...hope you get that sorted :) Some more feels on that...gotta be one in that works! ua-cam.com/video/y2LL9DWy3_0/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/7s715oB2mns/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/3Fa8c02DeJk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/7pbkEuD0NiE/v-deo.html
I was never aware that my shirt buttons were supposed to also point forward at the follow through before the extension. Thus I always suffered of an early extension. Thanks for the video Eric.
All of that was great, especially the last minute on extension of the upper body. Watch a lot of George Gankas and never fully understood what was meant by extension of the spine/upper body. Now I do!!!
Long time no see Eric..... Awesssoooommmeee visual tool here. Keep up the good work, I will be happy to take credit on my home course for you ideas. My students think I am so smart thanks to you...lol.... ha ha ha... Getting ready for the snow to melt and hit course.
Great Video- when I’m filming I need to put a line on top of my head! This really helps in my back swing! My ? Is if you are standing up in the back swing (for me 1/2 of my head- raising) how will this affect contact? Thanks in advance! Todd🥃👍
Love that.... Usually if your head goes UP too much in backswing you turned too LEVEL Didn't not have enough left shoulder down (tilt) This is more OK for longer clubs like driver.... Usually more forearm roll on backswing, flatter backswings, can be steeper downswing, off center contact.....really all depends. Contact issues would be normal from there....changing distance between you and ball is more difficult unless you go back down and forward enough on downswing
Hey Bill! Certainly! Its ALL important :) You want to have very little with wedge, a few degrees 3-4* with 8 iron, more like 7-10* with driver ua-cam.com/video/TJtx-qVSgVU/v-deo.html
Hi Eric, great video again! One question is that during my backswing, it looks like I got more tilt than needed and I see my head is dropping down a little bit and I tend to hit the inside of the clubface. Any suggestions for this one? Thanks!
Thanks! I would have to see a video of your swing to say for sure exactly what YOU need to do. Whatever "thing" you want to fix....to fix it.....you need to feel the OPPOSITE of it....and usually exaggerated. For example if your head goes too far DOWN and IN....whats the opposite of DOWN and IN? UP and BACK. Use video to confirm feels
I’m in a catch 22 with this one, if I create left side bend I turn better but I hit a lot of fat shots...is this normal? And what’s the fix, I’m guessing just make my arms shorter ?
Yes....exactly! Need to do a video on that specifically.....its on list. If you go DOWN more on backswing (left shoulder down) and you get CLOSER to ground You need to shorten something else (trail arm/wrist) and make sure you open chest enough. Even thought its downswing related I talk more about that here ua-cam.com/video/Lbluc0YCwlE/v-deo.html
Eric Cogorno Golf ..thank you. I am adapting but it’s taking time, I can tilt down the range with no pressure and after a few shots I’m fine.. but as soon as I’m on the course I’m turning flatter again. I played with a flat shoulder turn for so many years.
Eric have you found anyone to have too much tilt/left side bend in the back swing? I ask because if feels like I can exaggerate this about as much as physically possibly and it doesn’t really look too bad to me on film. However, I don’t want to overdo it.
Hey Zack! Yes I have....use the 90* to back line as you "checkpoint" to see if you need more or less I would say 80-90% turn too level that I see....much less turn with too much tilt...but it happens.
This is an awesome lesson. A lot of this can be practiced indoors without a club. During these winter months it's very important to have those kind of drills before spring arrive! Also could you do a video on all indoor winter drills for those of us stuck indoors in this weather?
Thanks, Tony! Appreciate it my friend! We most likely will not do a video on indoor training as we are traveling to warmer weather :) I would say you want to make sure you are actually hitting a ball as much as possible. Foam or wiffle OK.... Video is your friend! Frequency over duration!
Eric, great video!! Works well with my irons...total bust, early extension with my driver!! Argh!!
There is a reason WHY that's happening.....no mystery....have to figure out what that is. I would have to see a video and know more to say...

Immaculate ball striking in this video. Felt that sonic boom all the way here in the Philippines 😍😍😍
Lol :)
I constantly need to work on left side bend in the bswing. Thanks for the reminder!
Me too :) MY pleasure Dennis!

Just coming back to hitting golf balls on the range after surgery. Another great revision lesson from
the YT master. Thanks Eric
Thanks, Gordon! Hope you are feeling better my friend! Slow and steady!!

@@CogornoGolf Thanks a lot! Will try to feel UP and BACK. So your website has the program in which I can send videos and get feedback?
