Thanks a lot! I went through other videos and forums. Reinstalled Arduino IDE. Nothing helped. Some of the forums said, the microcontroller might be dead, so I ordered 2 Atmel microcontrollers. Changed them. Nothing worked. Was about to throw my original Arduino Uno R3 away wondering how come the original Uno R3 last so little compared to Chinese clones. Your video solved it. I wonder the video solution is not on the top lists or forums.

Error while burning bootloader. This report would have more information with "Show verbose output during compilation" option enabled in File -> Preferences.

Hi I just had your same problem, I solved it like this: when you select the port and the card from tools, select ATmega328P (Old bootloader) processor instead of ATmega328P

i guess connections are correct. Can you exactly mention the error that you are getting. Also press the reset button on UNO board and let me know what the LED does.

Glad you revived your Arduino. A crappy ultrasonic sensor caused this issue for me.

I did use USBasp to burn the bootloader into the chip, did work fine, but get still the sync error, so I go connect a extra supply.

You can use whatever board you have. But need to match the pins properly.
