Wow, back in the eighties the Cressida was the top of the line Toyota!!! This one is a true time capsule, best of all, everything works!!! Thanks Bob for sharing this nice Toyota!!! 👍👍🙂
I had a 1982 Cressida wagon. My wife was the primary driver, but I stole it every chance I had. We put about 300K on it and traded it off only after it was rear-ended for the fourth time and my body guy said he couldn't fix it if it took a fifth hit. We later had an 89 which turned out to be basically the 1990 Lexus. Those were great cars. Thanks for sharing this Bob.
If I didn't have to pay for a surgery and lived closer, I would be buying this. Very nice car. The only Cressida I like more than this vintage style are the 70's models with the round headlights. Love the digital gauges and I would keep that original radio as long as the cassette player still worked. Love this thing.
I'm the fella he bought it from out of Colorado. I absolutely loved my cressida unfortunately due to moving situations I no longer had a garage for it and then my daily needed a new transmission. Was an absolute pleasure working with Bob. Miss the car its so amazing to be able to see it still.
@euroasianbob9268 I'm really glad someone is enjoying it man! I'm just glad you posted this video! Brings back alot of memories with :) spent alot of time at the reservoir here in Pueblo with that car. Glad you were able to give someone the opportunity to have it.
@@Sonata9405 back in the 80s my brother owned a Cressida it was head and shoulders above any camry, now a well trimmed camry can match a lexus fairly easily at a substantial discount
Camry is front wheel drive, Cressida was rear wheel. Today’s Camry is definitely not a Cressida of modern times. If you follow the evolution of the Cressida you will know full well it spawned the Lexus .
My mom had the exact same car, just with tan leather. Then went to an Acura Legend coupe and three Lexus (GS300, GS400, finally LS430) before she died in 2004. The Cressida was way ahead of its time with the Star Wars digital dash and eager Supra V6
My favorite model is the 1986 year. It was in my opinion the last year Toyota put 100% of everything they had into 1 car. By 1987 they put all that attention into Lexus and we know how well that brand has done. I own 2 Lexus vehicles an 03 with 233,000 mi and a 15 with 97,000 mi. Both are in good running condition. Toyota knows about reliability and mastered the NSA V6 in my opinion.
Hi Bob, yet another JDM Gem I see? That old Toyota would be worth a small fortune here in the UK, its one of those that would have to go into a private collection, it's just to nice to be spoilt as a daily driver!!!
I had a cressida back in the day and the velour seats and luxury were great..sad though here in california they are not around as all that luxury and items are not reliable unlike other toyota vehicles that still run around today
They must have fixed the head gasket issue for '84 (5M-GE engine). Growing up my parents had two 1982 Cressidas and both blew head gaskets at 160,000 miles like clockwork (5-ME engine).
Not sure who this car would be targeted for, but, I see in the comments there are many people with fond memories of it. Still, I can't imagine this would be a draw for other enthusiasts. Even so, Bob, I hope you can sell it well! Love the content!
Toyota and other Japanese manufacturers and )probably lots of US manufacturers) test their interior longevity by leaving cars sitting in the California sun.
SOLD!
Damn, I loved that car! Good sale and congratulations! If you ever get a chance to get her back let me know!
How much? If u don't mind
@@i_i8924 I believe it sold for $12k.
@@euroasianbob9268Wow. A steal!

Bob,
How is it that you get me hooked on every car that you show.
Your Cressida is an immaculate survivor and your passion is infectious.
I remember my dad had on of these in the 90s watching this brought me so much childhood memories

The 1979 Cressida is beautiful like a Jaguar, but with one main difference, it runs!
@@anchababymalkin3222 Indeed, I would love to find one that wasn't beat up or modified to hell and back.

Hey there! It polished up nicely didn’t it? It was a dream car for the guy who bought it so it went to a great home!

What an absolute peach of a car. The next owner is going to be very lucky indeed, but it'll hurt to see it go.
sweet ride. The '83 had a herringbone pattern grill that was really sharp.
195/70R14 tires. Good ole days! 🤣
Bob, my mom had this EXACT same car when I was a kid. Year, color, equipment etc. Love it.
Wow this is in amazing condition! Beautiful car Bob!’ Thx for the video!
Cressidas are Lexus before Lexus was Lexus.....fantastic cars
I believe the crown was not the Cressida , Cressida is todays Camry

Wow Bob. What a survivor! If this was still available and I was back stateside, I would easily drop at least $10k cash in hand.
What a beautiful car!
Very Very Nice Example of my favorite gen of Cressida! Absolutely love the color combination!

If i see your channel 4 months ago, I would buy this in a heartbeat.

This is a really cool car. I had an 84 Supra back in the day with the same engine. Was such a fun car.
Absolutely stunning Bob!🤩
Belleza de carro
My GOODNESS... that is beautiful!
My dad gave me one of those 1982 cresida there were great super reliable and it had the same 6 cylinder engine as the supra great cat
I had an 83 Station Wagon same colors. Great car!
Amazing find. These have a great mix of japanese and american styling all in one.
Wow. My grandmother had this same car in the same colors!
Weren't they all either silver, white, or burgundy?

Love the digital dash!
I used to have a 1986 model equipped like this one......The belt squeaked on mine as well! 😆
The Màximas richer cousin.😎
Look also for the Toyota Cressida Hardtop, a must have!
The last model of this car was 1992 plus i love that it was rear wheel drive
Classic very few came with the cluster dashboard, on top of that very few came with the trip computer 🖥

Bob, why don't you put your website in the video description. That would be smart, yes?
I usually do but missed it. Done! Thanks!
I see one or two with the same paint job in Bahrain, not in as good condition though, this car is beautiful 😲
Beautiful! Don't sell it to a supra guy! you have great luck and a hell of an eye these days.
Better than the Maxima because the wheel wells didn't intrude into the back seat.

I have a comparable one for sale. It has 113000 miles driven as I used it all summers for 17 years. It is a great car.
Sweet deal you can use a screwdriver and Hotwire to crank it up lol my buddies dad had a Toyota corona lol
Right up there with 84 Cutlass
The buyer needs to store and maintain this baby. Can't be on the road too much. Too risky. She's so Prestine!!
Love these! Gorgeous car bob. Supra motor ;)
A car ready for the EMP strike. Very Nice car.
then we’ll really be living in 1984 at that point 😂
Had a friend with one of these back in the 80s. Good car. Not exciting but competent.

Beautiful car. I live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and I remember seeing this model here in the 80s and early 90s. Are spare parts easily available?
reminds me of the BMW 3 series from the same era but with a little more features and comfort
