TROUBLEGUM was a seminal work from the band - i played teh SHIT out if it .....seriously NOT one bad track on the entire album.....its a MASTERPIECE!

Tuska festival is going to be 18 and over next year. U guys have heard that news allready? And they announce first band and its Dimmu Borgir.

Ive been taking a UA-cam trip down memory lane to Donington early 90's, headbangers ball, things like that, and these guys popped up, im suddenly a teenager again lol
I discovered Therapy? in the late 80’s when their album Caucasian Psychosis was released in the U.S.. The album is a compilation of their first two EPs Pleasure Death and Baby Teeth. Been a fan ever since. PS, Fyfe Ewing the drummer whose final album with the band was Troublegum is one of the best drummers I have ever heard!
Yes indeed, he is an excellent drummer, but his final album was "Infernal Love"!
BabyTeeth & Pleasure Death are still the best things they ever did though. R.I.P. Wiiija records, what a label that was - Jacob's Mouse, Silverfish, Cornershop, Huggy Bear/Blood Sausage, Free Kitten ... so many good bands
Therapy? One of the best bands the island of Ireland ever produced. Serious Rockin band. Brings me right back. Awesome
Troublegum and especially "Nowhere" introduced me to Therapy! But also THIS song is an absolute catchy masterpiece! I own ALL albums of Therapy, I never let them down although their commercial success over for lots of years! Especially "Troublegum" brings back memories from my youth and it's a masterpiece!
I will see them this year on stage celebrating the 30th anniversary of this masterpiece! ❤️
There are a billion react channels on youtube. And they all do nightwish, maiden, system, disturbed ... and while I love all those bands ... no one ever does Therapy?!!!!
I mean, they've been going strong since the early 90s ... and they're still killing it to this day. Give some love to the classics, people.
Because doing bands like these will not get you the views and the subs. We would have triple the subs and views if we also followed that pattern.

Love this one. From what I remember reading, this was Therapy?'s attempt at writing a song in the vein of one of their Northern Irish 70s punk-pop influences (Rudi being the obvious example). Great reaction!

"Teethgrinder" in 92 got me into them and i was ADDICTED even to this day - i still play their albums when i want to get fired up :)
If I had to pick a top five favourite bands of all time then Therapy? Definitely make the list..... Possibly the top one or two. They are 👌💕

This song and Nowhere are byfar my fav Therapy songs, still listen to them a lot. Also one of my fav hard rock bands ever.
Nowhee is awesome....Misery, Knives, Triggerinside...these guys have awesome songs.

Brings back memories. Had this song on an old Kerrang! Compilation cd. Never got into the band though really.
High Anxiety, Suicide Pact You First and A Brief Crack Of Light are also worth checking out

We always reference ourselves as kinda sounding like Therapy, when asked about one of the bands I'm in. And we do a cover of Going Nowhere sometimes...
Still holding the torch for Mokoma and about those copyrights, most of their stuff apart from their first couple albums they have the same rights as Stam1na. As the guys in Mokoma are the ones that started Sakara Records, under which is Stam1na, Diablo, YUP, etc...
Happened to me as well, with this song and with Outshined (Soundgarden). It took almost a decade for me to discover the names of those songs...

Troublegum and Infernal love are 2 masterpieces from 90s. I discovered Therapy? with Troublegum when i was 16yo and i fell in love, saw Therapy? live 3 times (cause they don't come to Italy so often)
I can't wait to play this to my children. They will like it wether they like it or not!

I was a child of 80s metal, so Therapy? came along just when the metal scene was winding down and going full death. This album was like a child of 80s metal and punk. The lyrics, the drums, and the simple catchy guitar riffs won me over.
Love the first two minutes of this, I remember being 18, waking up on a lounge by hearing The Knives, life changing. I've never called Troublegum hard rock tho, it was like Ned's Atomic Dustbin or PWEI in that era (or the closest to the feel for the music for me) but the lyrics.... They are so dark, I called it powerpop gone bad.
I am ugly and have always loved that album, "Here comes a girl with perfect teeth, I bet she won't be smiling at me, I know how Jeffrey Dalmer feels, lonely, lonely" it's good not to feel alone. 😊

You had mentioned Therapy? a few times before and I was expecting a different song, the song I was expecting was "Teethgrinder" because it was the song the made them known in Portugal in the early 90's, só I thought it had happened with you as well. It was a nice surprise.
Teethgrinder is not in my top 10 of their songs to be honest. I like it, but not in my top 10.
One option instead of Tuska might be South Park in Tampere. It's a metal festival in city of tampere Tampere and it's in a central location. It will be happening again in 2019, but no info on it yet. The issue for us is Antonio has exams in school in June from 18-24. I wish there was a cool metal festival in Tampere or Helsinki or nearby in July or August.

Lagwagon, Meshuggah, Bad Religion, NOFX, Suffocation, Anthrax, Crowbar, Brujeria, Acid Bath, Jinjer, Shellac, The Jesus Lizard, Girls Against Boys, Planes Mistaken for Stars etc etc all on the same playlist. Listen to what speaks to your heart and soul and makes you happy and forget the labels! 🤘

That's a great story. Too many people discover Troublegum and never look at the other albums, you went in reverse order and are better off for it. xD
My first contact with Therapy? was the Troublegum album. It starts with Knives, a brutal in-your-face dissection of domestic violence and the self loathing and depression that is often behind such phenomena: "I'm gonna get drunk / come around and fuck you up". It was so dark and intimidating. I was instantly hooked.
I saw them live at Tavastia Klubi in Helsinki soon after that round mid 90s. The energy of the set was intense.
I was always loved their lyrics. So dark so full of despair.

I think the album should be heard from start to finish as an album, so I'd recommend starting with "I am the Abyss", which is the intro track of the album, and also entirely instrumental. One of the greatest albums of all time, in my opinion. It's "Atmospheric Melodic Blackened Death" god damn, it's goude!

Therapy? were great, I was MASSIVELY into them but, for me, Babyteeth and Pleasure Death, the 1st 2 albums, were the best, when they were still on Wiiija. I still liked Nurse but the switch to A&M definitely made them a little bit more mainstream rock and Shortsharpshock, which Screamager is off, is OK but, in my opinion, not a patch on those 1st 2 albums.
Bowels of love isn't on Troublegum, far as I know it's after Troublegum. Its in Infernal love. But the songs in Troublegum are dark I agree. Trigger Inside, Hellbelly, Turn are the darkest songs in troublegum. And it was teleased in 94' not 93. No 2 albums sound the same with Therapy. Troublegum is the bamd's Reign In Blood in my opinion. They even played the whole album live in the 2000s I think when the album had its 10th year anniversary or something.
