- Steve McMahon, Purple Strategies CEO, and Marc Short, former chief of staff to Vice President Mike Pence and former White House Director of Legislative Affairs for President Donald Trump, join 'Squawk Box' to discuss the state of the economy, which 2024 presidential candidate will be better for the economy, the issue of border security, and more.
Joe is too biased to be in these conversations
"biased" doesn't come close to describing him.
Joe is in love with the sound of his own voice & the circus peanut from Cult-45.
Facts
More likely he didn't say what you like; so... You're bias is in play!!
Blaming President Biden for prices is like blaming teachers because your kids are dumb!
Does he need to interrupt the guests all the time??
Joe is in love with the sound of his own voice & the circus peanut from Cult-45...
So with this guy, if he doesn’t like the answer, he starts to interrupt the people that’s a way to give an interview
Joe is a republican. Nothing wrong with that. Andrew is a democrat. Nothing wrong with that. Gotta have your ying and yang
Are you sure ,,neither seemed too keen on either being jnown as Republican or Democrat..... in the news reports i saw.
Thank you Joe for pushing back. So rarely seen on CNBC.
Yes
Executive orders don’t actually solve it though. Like they need more judges to work through the backlog, and they need legal authority to change the amnesty laws. The bipartisan border deal would have solved those issues.
Having read the proposed legislation, I have to respectfully disagree. The crux of the problem is catch and release vs remain in Mexico. Codifying catch and release makes little since unless your goal is to develop an underclass of cheap illegal workers.@@TonyTrupp
Does Joe represent the views of CNBC? This conversation deteriorated very quickly
Joe is in love with the sound of his own voice & the circus peanut from Cult-45....
Joe is the best. lol
Oh I get it two against one , You go Joe and stand firm ! MAGA
Trump 2024!!!
And a rich old guy who lives off of golf clubs is going to help middle-class pricing? Neah.
I think it's time for Joe to retire. His bias is obvious and for a "journalist", it is unacceptable. His head is so far up Trump's behind, I don't know how he can breathe!
Exactly, Joe is in love with the sound of his own voice & the circus peanut from Cult-45.
This is so true. Having republican views is fine but as a journalist you shouldnt interrupt if you disagree with the guest and try to be at least neutral and not repeat the exact same talking points from politicans without questioning
Joe is the only dissenting voice on the CNBC panel. I would be concerned about bias when you find everyone in agreement.
@@jl1248able Having dissenting opinions is completly fine but as a journalist you should try to be neutral and dont be partisan. All his questions are always republican talking points and if he disagrees with the answer he interrupts. Even if someone is just laying out facts he interrupts and disagrees. I have never see him one mention the low unemployment or high gdp growth
@@Felix-op1rwbecause MSNBC, CNN, ABC, and CNBC are not ? Okay.
Vote Republican
Joe is in love with the sound of his own voice & the circus peanut from Cult-45.
Anyone can tell the commenter suffering from TDS.
2 of the most excitable personalities in this network Joe and Rick Santelli. The power of shouting and talking over someone.
Notice how Joe's mic was louder?
Or was it just his voice?
Joe is needed on CNBC!
the guy in the middle is completely delusional
Good conversation overall
Joe drank the koolaid
So irritating when someone asks someone a question, and then talks over their response because they dont like it.
TRUMP 2024n🎉🎉🎉🎉
MAGA!!!
FJB!!
Will President Biden be in the next jail block from Mr Trump,,and which will be the incumbent?
somebody get joe a glass of water---- It has been more like Joe Podcast!
Inflation is high food is high rent is high gas is high i vote Trump
Joe pushing on inflation is good stuff
Are you better than you were 4 years ago? Hell yeah! Job offers galore, increased wages, stock market through the roof and home equity at record levels. For us, yes. For some not. Regardless of party in power, it's an economy going forward that has to be navigated. There's no more easy paths but then, we didn't found this country to be easy. 18 year olds are landing 6 figure jobs because of the technical skills they've built up without college debt and retirees are working part-time as consultants in tech earning hundreds of dollars per hour to help augment their retirement savings. Meanwhile, last year I had 143 job openings all paying 6 figures and willing to hire anywhere in North America and could hardly find anyone qualified. Keep interest rates where they are, let inflation keep coming down (already is) and let the extension of the digital transformation boom carry forward with AI which will also propel every company that hasn't digitized its infrastructure to rapidly do so, creating millions of more jobs. So let it be written, so let it be done!
We are in a worse position now economically than we were even 25 years ago
@@dthrust9037 for some yes. For those who have adapted, not so much. Record equity appreciation in residential real estate has created more millionaires than at any point in history. Wages in the tech sector have exploded, especially for those who continuously advanced their skills. The S&P500 index has returned an average of 14% since 2008 and anyone can beat the S&P500 with half a brain.
The opportunities for entrepreneurs has never been greater. With the cost of higher education skyrocketing, a plethora of online education has emerged and corporate America has but all abandoned requirements for college education; making entry into six figure tech jobs easier than ever without exorbitant and lengthy college curriculums.
I ignore the gloom and doom naysayers. They said the same thing in the 50s, in the 60s, in the 70s. But the difference is today we’ve entered a period of strategic adaption; where those who are smart, strategic, innovative and yes, hard working with ambition have never done better. And isn’t that what we wanted capitalism to be? I think so.
Andrew always comes off as more reasonable than Joe in these segments
Andrew is intelligent, Joe_is_a_MORON! Joe is in love with the sound of his own voice & the circus peanut from Cult-45.
You can't fix stupid! The young guy should live in Cuba for only a month so that he understand what communism does to a country.
Everything i disagree with is woke, communist or socialist. Europe is far more left than the US and they isnt one socialist country.
Do you actually know what these terms mean? In a communist country is no free market. Europe has a free market economy they just regulate it if it doesnt increase consumer welfare. Every economist agrees that regulating economies can increase welfare.
With a race between Biden and Trump likely, voters are concerned about the economy then its a no brainer for Joe Biden the economy is back under Joe, it went down under Trump and Trump never did anything to increase the economy, when he came into the white house, he inherited a great economy left by President Obama who also won the Nobel peace prize
Bahaha
Joe needs to shut his mouth and opens his ears
You first 🤓 🖕
Agreed, Joe is in love with the sound of his own voice & the circus peanut from Cult-45.
Yes it's the economy, yes its illegal immigration but #1 issue is Joe Bidens age ,as a moderate Democrat is ge the best we can come up with? I say no to Joe
The Steve guy acting like a joke. A CEO?
Trump 2024❤
Joe is in love with the sound of his own voice & the circus peanut from Cult-45.
Waste of time guys. Showing ignorance by 2 of you.
Done and delete.
is Joe drunk?
Does the old guy want deflation? Why is he on CNBC?
He is on a business news channel and has no clue about economics. This is actually shocking
It just is amazing how much Joe wants the US to suffer when a DEM is president. Why can't Joe just admit the economy is great and want that to continue.
Not my president
@firstlast8258 Sure is buddy, not your choice but your president. This is why America is great, we can pick our leader.
