♦️Jimin said in an interview that he wanted the concept of the song to be to present himself to the world in many different ways! Jimin also said that it's about perspective & prejudices as well!! Aside from saying in the song that I can be anything you (army) want me to be for you, I believe that Jimin is also trying to tell so many army that keep saying things like he's insecure, weak, or helpless, and needs protecting, or just cute or sexy, or just any one thing, whatever army indeed wants to think he is, isn't the real him! That he wears whatever 'filter' that army wants him to be, but indeed in reality is so not him!!
That's why army are continually surprised when they see a glimmer of the real Jimin, the way more self assured, demonstrative, take charge, confident, charismatic, alluring, at times sexy, person that kills on stage! So this (pure genius) song, that the CEO 'Hit-Man Bang' (called that since way back when, as a producer, whatever he was involved in became a hit) Mr. Bang Si Hyuk, himself, was actually involved in writing the ever so genius lyrics, that Jimin had a hand in as well.
The song's lyrics have more then one meaning!! So Jimin has pretty much been doing this since the beginning, playing the role of whatever army seems to prefer for him, but in actuality, hardly anyone knows the real Jimin! So much more then what many army believe him to be. Plus since Jimin never talks much about all his amazing past achievements, abilities, and accomplishments, even before ever joining BTS, many army are still unaware of so much. 🙏❤️🔥🐥😍🔥💫✨
So true it's amazing how many people don't see the 'hidden' qualities. I'd expect with his position in the military people are starting to realise more of who he is but perphaps not people tend to be blind to what they don't want to see.

ARMYs love music in general. It's not that we love only BTS. It's because there's only 24 hours in a day, which is still not enough time to enjoy all the amazing contents that BTS blessed us with...lol. So yea, for me, I can only allocate so much time in a day. You got 7-8 hours of sleep, another 7-8 hours of work...that's already 2/3 of your entire day. Then there's another hour or so hitting the gym, maybe another hour of namjooning (reading, enjoying nature, hitting various museums, etc)...so it only leaves so much time left that I rather utilize my precious time for my Bangtannies because they've given us so much & more. 💜

When this performance came in the online BTS MOTS ON:E concert during pandemic it shook the internet and Army tineline. Even Teen Vogye listed it in The Besr kpop moment 2020.
Glad you watched it. Thank you. Its sad Jimin couldn't perform it apart from the live online concert. The BTS tour got cancelled due to covid. There is no mv too.

I think it’s 100% fair that YOU should watch, react to and enjoy as many different types of music or groups you want. I’m all for you watching whatever makes you happy and while I listen to other music too I don’t watch any reactions to (or even listen to) other K-pop groups. Jimin ain't my bias, but I think he's the member I relate to the most in terms of personality/ mindset. His album "Face" resonated so damn deeply with me.
And YES, Filter is ear and eye candy. Gawd, I don't remember how many times I watched this or the stage mix because his facial expressions, the fluidity of his movements... It's so perfect.

LOL... playing around you missed what ARMY intended you to see with Jimin. At 6:56 when you were trying to pause you just need to wait a half second more and watch the video. LOL I absolutely enjoy this song so much. Most of their songs don't have MVs only their title songs mostly so if that's all you watch, you miss a lot and won't really understand the complexity of BTS, as I think you are starting to understand. Title tracks are great, but their best work is not those. Always try to find Live with Eng Subs... Enjoy BTS More is amazing. You did great finding this. There are just a few times we prefer other versions from hers, and I think I've already listed some of the most important ones in previous comments, so use or not, up to you. The blankpink thing is a mixed bag for sure. Army who like Kpop probably like them. They came up under one of the "big 3" companies that kept trying to extinguish BTS so that Blankpink could thrive. I think recently they are trying to go their own way and maybe write their own songs but mostly they were typical Kpop pretty faces singing what others told them to do. And only a couple have a writing credit on a couple of songs. I can't imagine how hard it was for them to put up with all they do, but I consider them Kpop idols and not artists so I don't do them or most Kpop. That may change if they are doing their own thing and writing their own stuff... but I just won't support those companies I feel mistreat their idols. For me, I can't enjoy the performances, if that makes sense. Hybe, through their trials and error with BTS, have developed a company that thrives because they focus on the well-being of their artists. They recently released a small series of videos (I assume for promotion and trying to attract new talent) that is called Hybe T&D Stories (Training and Development). They always try to be transparent (as we've seen with all the freedom and encouragement of their artists to be live and participate in the process and voice themselves). There are only about 5 parts, 5-10 minutes long... it actually focuses on the staff that works so hard to train the talent but then gets so attached and have to say bye... kind of gut wrenching in parts. I thought it was great...
