Baseball Demos/David. That rare play was great. It completely changed how the game went in my humble opinion.

David this was Fantastic! Really enjoyed that Rare Play Bench Clearing. You rolled the 6 and a shortstop ejected, then you rolled a 9 for the other team and I was worried it might be Kaline (RF) but you took pitcher out. FUN Stuff! Love that you play the dice as they roll (not "like that other channel" as you say, lol). Very much looking forward to the SADv 1987, Bring It!

@@brandanbaker5604 probably should have been Kaline. Irwad it as the #9 position in the batting order by mistake

Also, as a side not, you mention might re-visiting Season Ticket... If you get a chance redo a World Series, as it will give you 4 to 7 games to get down some of the great "checks" that Season Ticket gives you. I've found that Season Ticket lends itself well to those that like SADv.

@@BaseballDemos No big deal at all, just loved that you let the dice play it out! Love your vids :-) ... [Now, we need to get Tenacious back on the table!]

Enjoying your series with Inside Pitch. I would like to know more of the details about K pitcher effect versus non K pitcher effects. If the K doesn't stand up for the K pitchers does this lead to them getting more rolls on the batter cards than non K pitchers?
I've been a strat player since the mid 60's and now just use the baseball pc game and SOM remains my favorite and only game by choice. I like the 50/50 design and by watching UA-cam videos using other games can see games that are pitcher or batter first, do have to migrate backwards to a 50/50 type results in the long haul.
SOM does need to address getting errors applied to the proper results. For example, actually having Error X-Chart results separate from using the range result to go with the error. This would cover errors off hits to the outfielders, bunt errors, and pick off errors.
IMO, through research have found trying to apply these errors during the actual play like the outfield throwing error or bobble on a outfield hit, a bunt, or a pickoff error would require too many rolls to be applied during a specific event. The e-ratings being only applied during the x-chances does keep it simple, but the range number and the result with the error doesn't match, adequately or accurately. The total errors being tied within the x-chances leaves the best way is to use one error-x chart for each position.
Devon White one season is a range 1 with, IIRC, a e-rating of 8 or 9. That given season he had 9 errors off 8 hits, with one being the rare two error play, a bobble then with the following throwing error. I have found through research roughly 1 - 15 would be outfield errors after hits, 16 - 19 would be the dropped flyball, 20 rare play with another 20 sided die roll 1 - 11 flyout with throwing error etc. even the 20 being a Triple with an error.
Devon White will make errors only on dropped flyballs in SOM, but his e-rating using my chart would produce him giving up just 6 or 7 extra hits with errors. My research is close enough the e-ratings will work accordingly and accurately enough without having to create extra ratings. The x-chances to e-ratings covers it well in a nutshell and only adds about .001 to .002 to batting averages overall. This would also work for pickoff and bunt errors within the e-rating applied context. The simplicity is if the e-rating shows an error just reference that position error x-chart instead of the range roll result, no re-roll needed but optional if the gamer would like it to be. So there is no misunderstanding each position "range rating" doesn't need it's own error x-chart since error types don't really have a real life correalation to the range ratings that are strong enough.
I read IDjesters rants and ratings, but if one is going to complain then do the research and provide a solution to the complaint if to do with a game design or game engine. The cosmetics of a game is a different story.

When McCarver came up in the second it was possible error on the ground ball..........and then McCarver hit a grounder to first, shouldn't there have been an error check?
