  • Had nothing but problems with it. The company suck, they are hard to get ahold too and don’t return your calls. Had it for 3 months and than it started to having starting problems and electrical issues. As you see in the video, this is how it left the factory after installing a new engine harness. #massimo #junk #mxu1000

    There’s another guy on here that got burnt with this same unit. His name is Kenneth Shilling. His issue started at only two weeks after he purchased it. They cockblocked the comments section on his video. You can see by his about profile when they started to block him like they were ready for him when he made the video cause he’s tried to re-upload the video it looks like five or six times and yet the comments section still won’t allow him to get a response. His issue started after he left his place in Texas or maybe it wasn’t his place, to make a long story short when he got to his place in Oklahoma I believe, the bike wouldn’t run right. So after calling the dealership in Texas, they told him to unplug the battery for 15 minutes or so and that should reset the computer to be able to run it there but it didn’t work so now they telling him to disconnect the muffler and clean it out because he thought it might have built up some carbon on it. The refused to do that because now he would be voiding the warranty so they just cut him off. When I say they cut him off, I mean UA-cam cut him off completely so he wouldn’t be able to see the comments at all and no one is allowed to ever see them. His video has just over five thousand views on it and he had just started it March. They stopped that one video from ever gaining any traction on it. Five thousand views. Can you believe that it came a Chinesium company with that kind of power to stop a pissed off customer from revealing the truth about their product. Well anywhoo

    Your issues have a lot to do with a sub-par dealer. I know this because we are an Odes dealer and I get machines in all the time that sat at other dealerships for months. Sometimes it really is parts availability (I've dealt with that and it sucks), but what Ive found is it's often dealers/techs that don't know what to do with it. You'd be surprised how common that is. This is half the problem. Many iffy dealers, so you have to choose wisely. Maybe ask how much power sports experience the service dept has.... That'll tell you a lot about what you'll get for service/support.
    How you got the machine back with wires hanging all over and switches that don't work says EVERYTHING.
    As for the extra connectors hanging under there, that is normal. There are a handful that don't go to anything because as accessories have been added, removed, or changed over the last few years the extra connectors stayed.
    Many of the problems people have had with communication are because they purchased their machine when Odes was owned by Massimo. Therefore Massimo will be little help because they are not able to sell those machines anymore. Odes has been back on their own for around a year and building the company from the ground up again and also factory direct. So no more middle man importer for parts. A lot has changed. We helped out Odes as tech support during that transition period too so we got a front row seat to the whole thing.

      @Maplicito Рік тому

      @Race Craft If you don't mind me asking... how are both Odes and Massimo? I am likely to be looking for a crew-sized machine, and specifically want one with heat and AC to make it more useful throughout the year in Canada. Currently the Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Crew is my top pick, but I'm trying to check out other brands too.

    • @racecraft.performance
      @racecraft.performance Рік тому +1

      @@Maplicito if you're looking for something full size, I'd go with Odes over Massimo. The Odes machines are pretty good for the money but I'll admit you will be doing a little more tinkering over time. It's a price point thing. $24k(ish) for heat, AC, winch and light bar. Everything comes standard.

    Hmmmm, the feeling I get is that there are surplus electrical connections under the front that are there for a reason ie extra accessories. Why were the hydraulic rams disconnected? I'm a self taught mechanic and think there is more to this story than we are being told.

      I bought a massimo gkm200 aka a 176cc gokart. I went through the entire thing with a mechanic buddy of mine and tightened all the bolts, fixed the tie rods, replaced the oil and air filter (didn’t need rejetting), and then took off the governor. Left it out in the snow and it was fine, beat the piss out of the thing too. For Chinese stuff you gotta go through it before you ride it. Sure it’s gonna rust out in a few years of I don’t repaint it but it’s not bad.

    You have a problem with your dealership. You did NOT take it “back to the manufacturer”.
    For that matter if you bought a new $80k truck and had problems you still wouldn’t take it back to the manufacturer
    You’re mad I get that but don’t play it up that you took it back to the factory.

I bought a RAM truck that has nothing but issue while the motor in it was torn down three different times replacing all lifters before 50,000 miles. Sorry you had problems my friend. You’ve had it a long time since I am just now seeing this message. But I’ll tell you that you just bought a lemon. Who knows? But it happens to everyone at least once in life. I’m an old cogger now at 73. But I hope you will use this as a learning lesson. Meaning, that try to do what I did as a young man when I got burned. I learned that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE! Don’t let it run out on you. Take care of issues with the SELLER and hold his feet to the fire! There are lemon laws in almost every State of the United States!! Before buying something like this that is so expensive, make sure you check the local laws my friend. Maybe consider MAINTENANCE INSURANCE!! It can be extremely expensive though. Worth checking out though.
      While you have the SELLERS FEET WARMING UP, BE SURE AND CALL THE MANUFACTURER AND GET THEM INTO THE LOOP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. DONT PUT IT OFF!
      This way you will be way out in front of them and please be sure above all, DOCUMENT DOCUMENT DOCUMENT EVERY THING!
      I’ll shut up now but considering the amount of the money, at least for those who are SA’s, just threaten them with legal action.
      Lastly, MAKE THEM GIVE YOU ANOTHER BRAND NEW MACHINE. GIVE THEM THE LEMON BACK. YOU DIDNT COME TO THEM TO BUY A LEMON. GIVE IT BACK TO THEM AND GET YOU ANOTHER NEW ONE!!
      Hope this helps. It works for me fifty years ago and it is still working for me today! God Bless!!

    Bought a MSU 850 and it’s not much better than this. Throttle cable seized up so they gave me another one to put on myself because both of their mechanics quit at the same time. Well not only did the new replacement cable seize up but the drive assembly decided to take a dump and guess what it said on the cover. It said CF Moto. All jokes aside, the way I see it is that CF Moto didn’t think this power plant was good enough so they sold a large quantity of them to Massimo for an unbelievably low price. Enough said. So now after on three months and only 53 miles on the bike and it’s Christmas time coming up. You guys thinking what I’m thinking. Either someone gets a new bike or a total refund or somebody’s gonna to ruin Christmas for all its employees. If I have to lawyer up, I’m prepared to do it at this point I’m so stinking mad. After paying them cash and they still didn’t cut me no breaks. After it was all said and done I shelled out over 15 grand for the bike that started out good but ended up so bad, especially after having to take out all my saws and trimmers out the bed and log splitter equipment. So yeah like this guy says, spend the extra money on a reputable company and you won’t have these problems.

    It was cheap because it's garbage. The "factory" is far away. Dealers selling junk don't surprise me when their service is poor. I do appreciate the warning since they don't deserve to sell anything, but this is typical Chinesium quality. Cheap machinery usually costs much more than quality in the end. Assembling ChiCom parts in CONUS doesn't make them not junk.
