The lightening was so bad that at times I couldn’t tell wtf they were doing. Closeups when there shouldn’t be closeups and cutting scenes when they should go on longer. Creatures were so cool but not enough explanation about why they’re the way they are.
Ligthing and hand held camera were both crap but the movie had good acting, moved at a good pace, and the creature reveal was well done. It could've used some more Cage too. Overall, a fun, if ultimately forgettable movie.
I was bored to death watching this movie.
The story is ludicrous, and the cameraman got Parkinson's disease.
It looks like was directed by a six years old.
Far better than some 2024 horror movies like Imaginary, Immaculate, Night Swim.. etc

This movie squandered so much of the good parts of the first half. I really was okay with the Quiet Place setup. And the creatures were okay in the start. But man, did it get stupid in the second half. The dumb girlfriend subplot. Cage being conveniently knocked out for a third of the film. Then the creatures, which were punchable-to-death, can suddenly dig through stone. And roll katamari -style...on fire. And get all screechilngy flappy-headed. Then the master plan was to....wait for it....NUKE THE FRIDGE. Naw.
I think 7/10 is reasonable. Personally, the only good part was the smarter son imo. Otherwise, this film was just...boring. I think the melodramatic soundtrack had something to do with it. It took the tension out of a lot of scenes and made the sincere moments feel artificial

Arcadian means to live a quiet life/country life. Fitting for this movie given the setting (rural America).

I thought this was very enjoyable and I LOVED the monsters.
I definitely got bits of I am legend vibes from the trailer. Seeing it Saturday morning though and looking forward to it!

For me... it was a blend of ... A Quiet Place and Dog Soldiers. Excellent movie!

I know you were just talking about the show "From" in reference to this movie, but just saying "From" has creatures that come out at night, doesn't touch the surface of the sh*t they are dealing with in the show "From"... I will have to check out your review of that show...

It was great, ive been so bored with movies lately and this was legit. Granted yeah maybe its not totally original in the idea, but theres been a zillion zombie movies too and not all are bad. This was way better than i expected. Acting was legit, father son story was gripping. Great horror/thriller absolute watch
Just saw this an hour ago. Very good movie and no dumb moments. Better than most movies that are being hyped lately.

Yeah I finally watched night swim last night and it’s was ehhhh aight but definitely not great or even good but I guess ok & imagery could of been waaay better

I thought the movie was fantastic. Acting was spot on.. cgi was not fantastic.. But the monsters... I don't think I have ever seen such a creative creature in a movie ever... I thought they were amazing. I thought the way they handled them was amazing.. And I wish I knew more about the monsters cuz they are fucking crazy

at 11 minutes the movie annoyed me immediately, terrible logic, why would you breath so loud if you're in hiding mode, this is just terrible nonlogical script writing, if you're in a hiding situation, why would you breath hard
