I first watched Samurai Champloo, when I was a little girl. I may have been too young to understand it then, but what always caught my attention, was the beautiful music that played in the background. Then, I decided to watch it a second time after a few years when I was older. It was much more clearer, but the music still grabbed a hold of my heart. I cherished that music all the way until now, when I became fourteen years old. I first watched this, when I was about 5 or 7 years old, but of course my Dad thought I would understand it...but I mainly just liked the fighting. Anyways, it's just super cool to listen to foreign music, that actually teaches us lessons about life and emotions, that we think we know a lot about already, but have no ideas judging from other people's perspective. Even, though in a way we are all connected. But the one thing that seems to connect us the most, is art. Especially, music like Nujabes makes. I Man, Nujabes is the bomb.... I listened to many songs by him, and they all are unique and different telling us about a story. That's mainly what I love about Japanese music, in general though.
Its good to know there are still deep lyrical hip hop addicts i got to say this beat hooked me up like crazy Id faded abit concerning rapping but this beat took me to a whole new level
Honestly if I created my own anime I would definitely use this as my opening.Just the beat. Its so chill and carefree. Got me moving my shoulder to the beat lol
the only time i ever cried in my adult hood is when nujabes died.. dilla too. every time i hear this i just cant help but tear. this brings the soul out you. truly a man that acceded human capacity. nothing short of a legend.
im fairly new to Nujabes music... he moved me.. made me feel at peace at times i wasnt. May you rest in peace.. can't wait to hear all of the new beats you've come up with once i see you in Heaven.. because this can't be the total end to such an innovative/creative/inspirational mind... RIP
The music made the show for Samurai Champloo. Cowboy Bebop was literally out of this world with a nice Jazz feeling in the background, great fight scenes and a great plot. Where as they ended Samurai Champloo so early it never got to develop past the point it was at.
They don't get rid of them, they just have a limit run. Unlike on our television, the artists write a limited story arc and when it's done they move on to a new story. That's one of the things I love about these japanese shows. Having a fixed story arc just makes for great Television
@Shimiz you will be able to hear his music because his record label hasn't released all of his music. they said that they will come out through the years to keep his legend alive. :-)
R.I.P Nujabes Its a shame i felt as though i was coming so close to working with you and then what happened, happened. But youre in a better place now. So your music will live on, through me and others, Shing02, DL, Substantial, M!das, etc.
back in edo all was tight swords frequentley clashed in a blend of noise and light, had to stand up and show your might, have that killer instinct the will to fight but dont forget to do what right, follow bushido in soul mind and sight. a universal code for the young and old for all samurai truth be told, fightin and dyin waitin for their lives to unfold, the ronin subject to scold or the daimyo honorable and bold, dont matter the steel stillthesameruthless andcold, the way ofthesamurai of old
@HeavyC31190 Sorry for not replying so soon but, i don't recall seeing any of these shows on any sites. However if I did I wouldn't be surprised if the graphics were choppy.
Ok, "Anime" is actually a shortened tern for animation. Americans and Japanese both use these terms but some where along the line it was split so that Japanese animation would be called simply anime as for American animations would be cartoons.
slice n dice my strikes are precise, attack from word to word verbally very concise,im not aiming at your physical more like your mental, watch as i spit on this instrumental, and these lyrics are based on true credentials, witness a true lyrical manipulation, poeticly i took you tto anotha dimension, all i used were words ans simple creation.
Yeah, the sound is continuous and starts at the beginning and doesn't stop at all right? It is not the clapping. Sounds like some sort of instrument. Maybe an electronic keyboard.
The assassins silent movement surprises the minds of the brutes, the unprepared, the lost in lust, and the blood of the weak, As the blade dyed red attacks and thrusts inside the victims they feel the pain of their sins as it burns between their heart beat, The assassin takes the moons cresent shape and uses it as a blade to shape his past into a template, to recreate his memories and reshape his mind to reassemble his old undesirable fate....... any thoughts?

6 months already?
It's been 3 years. Here's to many more.
This is the most ethereal instrumental ever made.
OH GOD that watery organ chord that lasts through out the entire song...it's so mellow...hypnotic even. Ngh, I love it so much!
amazing music... all throughout samurai champloo. RIP nujabes
I can't even imagine all the masterpieces this man could have made had he still been here with us. RIP :(
Its good to know there are still deep lyrical hip hop addicts i got to say this beat hooked me up like crazy Id faded abit concerning rapping but this beat took me to a whole new level

Honestly if I created my own anime I would definitely use this as my opening.Just the beat. Its so chill and carefree. Got me moving my shoulder to the beat lol
+Damascus Unverse "If I made my own anime I'd do the same thing as another anime because I like it."
For some reason this makes me sad. And nostalgic.

The music made the show for Samurai Champloo. Cowboy Bebop was literally out of this world with a nice Jazz feeling in the background, great fight scenes and a great plot. Where as they ended Samurai Champloo so early it never got to develop past the point it was at.

dazed and confused
I've got to use this in one of my mixes
Nvm, the closest I found to this was CHR_Dream C5 scaled to D5. It's in the Choir package I used it once sounds like the songs dreamlike.
sick
Samurai ran for a full Japanese Season, there is so long before you can broadcast 26 episodes.
I don't like anime but I can still praise the fuck out of it for it's music because of this piece.
why samurai champloo is a phenomenal anime. all the music is sick too, not just this piece
Norman Porter the story, action, humor and music. This anime killed it
@Shimiz we all will there is truly no substitute
@HeavyC31190 Sorry for not replying so soon but, i don't recall seeing any of these shows on any sites. However if I did I wouldn't be surprised if the graphics were choppy.
nujabes still has stuff not released so we will hear from him

the ultimate reward is honour not award. at odds with the times in wars with no lords.

Ok, "Anime" is actually a shortened tern for animation. Americans and Japanese both use these terms but some where along the line it was split so that Japanese animation would be called simply anime as for American animations would be cartoons.

Can someone please tell me the chord used for the organ at 0:19?
@scarcityshanks do you have a particular site that has all of those classic grade A shows on it??
Nujabes will be missed. :'(
What's that sound that I can't explain, you know which one I'm refering to. How's it called?
... Ambience?
I dunno, reminds of some wishy-washy water metaphor, I dig it.
I'm talking about the sound that kinda sounds like "cling" or something like that.
Idk, It's a weird squashed reverb thing in place of where a snare would go I think.
Yeah, the sound is continuous and starts at the beginning and doesn't stop at all right? It is not the clapping. Sounds like some sort of instrument. Maybe an electronic keyboard.
I think he was talking about the "clapping."
@bboykory117 No, it's called Anime in Japan.
@scarcityshanks omg gargoyles! I forgot that show existed.
What is this lovely instrument that you hear all the time? I'm much into producing music and I need to know, please.

For some odd reason, my mouth started to say the lyrics to this song uncontrolably... It's a damn good song
love how jin is blowin trees haha
Rip #Nujabes
That intro gets me a little emotional.
The assassins silent movement surprises the minds of the brutes, the unprepared, the lost in lust, and the blood of the weak,
As the blade dyed red attacks and thrusts inside the victims they feel the pain of their sins as it burns between their heart beat,
The assassin takes the moons cresent shape and uses it as a blade to shape his past into a template,

Windchimes. I have the instrument on FL but I really don't want to open it. It's in like a package called heaven or something.
