My mom lived her life by the Beatles. She changed her name to Billi at age 17 because of Sgt. Pepper's. We got to see this show together, probably 15 years ago. Even then this scene got me since I knew rhe story of how Lennon's mom died. Rewatching it since my own mom's passing it's even more beautiful. I can't wait to go see this show for one last time next month.
One of my favorite acts in all of Cirque. I remember seeing it slowly being developed at the Studio when I was training for Saltimbanco. Such a great time that was!
I saw this last week. We had great seats and the white Bug exploded 3 feet from me!! I can't even form proper words to describe what I saw that night. The best can do is... PURE... UNADULTARATED... JOY!! Please, if you have the ability to see this... DO IT!!
I’ve been searching for this specific scene for soooo long. My grandpa showed me Cirque du Soleil when I was younger and this was the only scene I remember watching with him. He passed away last year in October, but this brought back memories.❤️
I just got back from vegas and it's the first time that I didn't see Love. It really felt different. I'm so glad this video exists because this great show is gone forever.
wow 9 times!!! and you def can work on the show if you keep to that goal! I saw this show when I was 15 and it was a ten year goal for me to be apart of it as well! And at 25 I joined!!! you got it!
So I’ve seen this show 4 times since it premiered. The last time around 2 years ago. I’ve always thought of A Day In The Life as one of my favorite acts of the show. I’d like to thank and congratulate you for your performances. I’ve kept LOVE very close to my heart and whenever I feel down I listen to the soundtrack and remember every act of the show. Unintentionally, you (and all the cast and crew) have become a huge part of my happy memories and for that I’d like to thank you and wish you the best of lucks in whatever you do in your future.
This show was absolutely incredible. It is a shame that next month will be its last. Very cool you got to be a part of it and thank you and the rest of the crew for giving me an amazing memory.
I remember going to see this back in 2012 with my mom when I was like 8 and at the time I thought it was just like the other cirque shows in vegas and I thought the beatles were just like a group of characters in the show (spare me i was 8 and had never even heard of the beatles) and I remember hearing the music and really enjoying it along with the spectacle that is really any cirque du soleil show to be honest. Now 8 years later I am now such a big fan of the beatles I'm learning their songs on guitar along with music from many other bands that came after the beatles like Queen and Green Day. I'm also thinking of going to the beatles love once more next time I'm in Vegas (after quarantine has ended) visiting my mum again now that I know the songs and know some of them on guitar. I'll probably even enjoy it more than I did back then due to me being older and understanding who the beatles are causing me to get invested in the show even more than I did 8 years ago at 8 years old.
Just saw this show last week, and I was absolutely entranced by this number. The melancholy just got to me so much. I couldn't stop crying in the show T_T
I was planning to go back and see the performance again along with the back room tour! Then came COVID.... It took forever to fly out of Chicago to see the show 2018 Fall. It was mesmerizing. I stayed there and saw nothing and played no gambles but simply appreciated FOUR freaking shows!!!! I am going back to see it again and again when we come back to the routine!
Gelsey! That was absolutely amazing! The part when the bug explodes was so cool. You’ve got so much talent. Also, I can’t wait for episode two of The Struggle Is Real to come out.
I just saw it a few days ago. I was sitting right on the aisle where the bug exploded. I still can't find the words to describe this show, other than pure, unadulterated Joy!
I always feel bad because I'm too young for se the Beatles live 3 years ago I visit the Vegas in December I see the show and I can sleep at night thank you for the show thank you for make me cry
For my 10th birthday, my Mom, and I, and other people from her side of the family all went to Las Vegas to watch this. It was of the best things that ever happened to me. A Day In The Life is one of the best Beatles songs, and of my favorite songs of all-time. I just wanna say thanks to you for bringing back these wondering memories that I hold so special in my heart. I hope you are doing well in this pandemic, because you are so talented and awesome, and you did so great in this. Much love and respect! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Gelsey, I don't know why this comment of yours down below touches me soo. it brings a tear to my eye and I am a 56 year old man who does not cry, for the most part. maybe because I love your touching performance of Julia. I no doubt consider that the highlight of the show......................................................................................................... I had the honor of performing the role of "Julia" in Cirque du Soleil's The Beatle's LOVE for 3 years. This is my last performance on the aerial straps. This was a dream ,job of mine and this night was a cornucopia of emotions! I will always hold this character dear to my heart and the show will always be apart of who I am.
@@glaurie91 I bet it was. Looking forward to see other stuff in the future. Bravo. I'd love to see you do a phantom of the opera song mainly all I ask of you. Its mine and my wife's favourite song. 🐻👍
I didn't realize you were part of the show. That was beautiful and amazing and a whole lot of other things. Hope you're still doing aerialist work. Love will be missed.
Aw hopefully you will be able to catch it one day!! Unfortunately it is closed right now due to the pandemic, so I’m hoping they will be up and at em soon!
I hope you don’t mind me asking but in like the very beginning are those supposed to be car headlights? If so is it supposed to represent how she dies?
hello, I just saw the show on 19Sep21 and it was wonderful. I hate to ask, but who is play that role now? I was able to get a selfie with her in the casino.
haha ummmmm well they would let us film our acts ( that's me flying around) which im thankful but im not sure what the official rules were. through the years they got more lenient on letting us film what we want. Which im thankful so I have this memory forever!
This and your struggle are real videos are astounding. They are all my favorite. I can see how you being hit with the VW represents Julia's accident, and how the breaking up of the car represents the breakup of the beatles, and how the son has a nightmare right after you put him to sleep. Is there any more detail about the symbolism in your performance that you can share with us? For example, why are you carried on part of the car?
I played "Julia" John Lennons mother, she was hit by a car and died in Liverpool when John was younger. So the littler boy is "Little John" and the nightmare scene after I tuck him in is a foreshadow to the death and loss. The VW breaking apart also represents the Beatles breaking up, since this is the last act in the show!
Too bad people can't shutup at the end of Lucy in the sky so one can fully immerse themselves in the experience. Typical, always someone or 2 or 3 attention deficit seekers of ME it's all about ME pay attention to ME to annoy the rest of us.
The only cirque show to make me cry seven times! And this act was no exception. Pure perfection 🤍
Same! The first 2 times I saw it wayyyy back when it opened I cried both times, and that's when I knew that's the show I want to be in.
I cry every time
Seen it 4 times and cried every time. It was magical.

Probably
yes those are car headlights! Julia, John Lennons mother died crossing the street and being hit by a car. :(
So this is an interpretation of Julia's passing if im not mistaken?
Yes
it is!

Beatles song has nothing to do with the performance on the stage.
