West Bengal: Protest in Sandeshkhali following recent assault on woman

Women of the Battala area near Sandeshkhali on May 16 protested against the culprits of the alleged abduction incident in Sandeshkhali. The protesters raised slogans and demanded the arrest of the culprits of the recent incident of alleged attempt to rape a woman. According to reports, recently three miscreants tried to abduct a woman of the Sandeshkhali area at night. Meanwhile, the police on May 16 brought the victim to a local court in Basirhat to record her statement before the magistrate. The local women of Battala told ANI that, they are not safe and spending nights without sleeping.
