    Almost got their golf, but I had to stick with weatherman because I like the bigger arch rather than the flatness. But I like the look of blunts.

    I'm torn between the Metro and the Coupé. As someone who is relatively small (1,56m, kind of small build overall), Metro seems good enough for rainy days. Anyways, thanks a lot for the review - definitely helps knowing the investment will not be wasted in either case.

      I am a little larger then you at 5'7 and I found the metro gives me good coverage from the rain and is easy to bring with me all the time as a just in case umbrella. Either way it will last you a good long time.

    Thanks for the review! I picked one up today after my cheap umbrella failed in a rainstorm this morning on the commute to work. Figured that I may as well invest in something of a reasonable quality to reduce the chances of that occurring again. Impressed by the overall quality - these umbrellas would make for a great gift idea for the daily commuters in your life.

      That was my thinking as well after getting past the sticker shock. Like I said I still have the old one, I just gave it to my wife to use. I am pretty sure someone purched a bunch of these from my link as like a office gift or the like. There were about 50 purched in a single day.

    You didn't test the invert mechanism with the leaf blower.....

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  6 місяців тому

      I did not do that test because the umbrella is designed to invert. And then be able to flip back without any damage. Some of their larger umbrellas are made to withstand inversion. But because of the size of this one it does not.

    • @exaltedpotato6677
      @exaltedpotato6677 6 місяців тому

      @@Wanderer001_Reviews That's valid; however, now I'm left in the dark on how well their inversion mechanism functions in strong winds (and when hit by wind at varying angles). A company can say whatever they want about a product, but it'll never be confirmed true unless actively tested. It's a missed opportunity

      @@exaltedpotato6677 I can see that. Here I thought I was doing a pretty good job using the leaf blower as a test. I did do a review of the gen 1 of this umbrella about 10 years ago where I hand inverted it if you are looking to see what that looks like here: ua-cam.com/video/1nhbjiVxABY/v-deo.htmlsi=v0yR2F2sG3qBQWXX&t=504

    Is the build quality of the shaft solid? With other small umbrellas they tend to not be fully sturdy & make some rattling noise. Trying to find a small umbrella that doesn’t do that. Thanks for the video!

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  11 місяців тому +1

      There is a little sound but nothing too crazy. As far as small umberllas go this is one of the more solid shafts I have used. All I can say is if you are intrested in checking it out, Amazon does have a very good return policy if you don't like it.

      I have thought that you weren't looking at the Metro at all. If given the option I would just get the Metro. It has served me well for well over a decade. As for the Solo versus the mini I have noted that when you go with things the size of the Mini you tend to run into problems. My preferred size is the Metro.
