Are you guys going to watch barbarian
Watch Black Swan!
Watch Logan
Where is Andor guys don't sleep on it please show got some potential
I love the fact that they made the curse real. I think it still would have been a strong ending if it was just a family legend and they had to face the consequences of their blind faith, but the fact that it was real and they revealed it in such an over the top way really elevated the movie for me.
Agreed. It' also interesting that they were only killed after they decided to kill her anyways, makes me wonder if the demon was just going to have some sort misfortune befall them such such as losing their fortune until they knowingly broke the rules of the game or if that was the original pact but as time went on the information about it became muddled so they believed losing equals death.
And Alex only dies after Grace says she wants a divorce so the devil would have spared him as long as Grace considered him her husband.
Apparently the original ending had Grace dying after Alex betrayed her, but that ending wasn’t received very well, so they shot this ending. Absolutely the right call
And Grace laughing at them exploding made it even better 😂
@@islasullivan3463 I think it's a play on the old deal with the Devil trope. They made a deal with Satan, but at the end the devil comes calling. The family broke the arrangement and thus their souls are collected as a result.
When the hide and seek song played I was for a moment expecting Grace to now be the seeker and the movie ending on that note. Would have been more satisfying imo.
I like the theory that the hunted bride/groom didn't need to die - they only had to survive, since they were the main "player," with the hunters being obstacles, not competitors. The family died at the end not at the crack of dawn, but when scary aunty declared that Grace would still die, which broke the rules of the game, which is what killed them, rather than a punishment for losing.
Samara weaving has an iconic scream👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😭😭it comes from her chest
@@itss_nattyj WAIT OMG I'M SO EXCITED
Yes her chest is great.
YAAAAAAS that’s what I was thinking!!!!!
It’s primal. When some screams it’s usually either to grab attention or as a threat. Hers is somehow both and it’s chilling
Her scream is one of my absolute favs, it’s realistic and primal and just all around chilling.
Samara's performance in this was crazy!! i need her in more horror movies
❤❤❤
fire profile pic
She's in Scream 6!
the scream at the end ugghhhhh
She was really great in Guns Akimbo w/ Daniel Radcliff.
The costume designer for the movie revealed that Converse didn't sell or manufacture any pairs of hightops in yellow, so they took a white pair and dyed it yellow.
Why did it have to be yellow? Do you know?
@@ramzes2624 She says why in the disc special features, but I don't own the movie, so I forget. My best guess is they wanted a pop of color to contrast the dress, but it had to also be light enough to contrast the blood and stuff she gets coated in throughout the movie. if it was black converse, the blood wouldn't show up as well.
They do make yellow converse
@@amandajackson668they do now, but at the time they apparently didn't
@@ramzes2624 Either the writer or director wanted yellow. It happens. The most famous might be the red Swingline stapler in "Office Space". Swingline didn't make red at the time but now it is a big seller for them.
One of my favourite entries into the horror genre in the past 10 years. Great cast, the humour was on-point and not overdone and Samara (no I'm not Margot Robbie) Weaving is a heroine up there with Nancy from Elm Street and Ellen Ripley.
The humor was not funny at all imo, just felt like they tried too hard, really glad they didn't do more
@@mickeywonders3764 All movies are subjective; there are no right or wrong opinions. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the movie.
@@originalrockheadNo, there are absolutely wrong opinions. The humor is perfect in this movie. Mickey is an idiot with an illegitimate opinion. Don't give credit to people with bad taste.
@@ZiggopotamusLmaooo you went for the throat.😂
Yea she’s definitely a great Final Girl 💯
I love Grace's reaction when the car ignores her pleas and just drives away.
Samara Weaving is incredible in this movie. She’s great with the comedy but also acts the hell out of the pain and fear and rage and sadness. She’s doing quite a lot of horror I think she has what it takes to be a scream queen of this generation. Grace is one of my favourite final girls.
She has a goat scream.
Underrated Horror movie that too many people haven't yet seen. They put a lot of craft and care in making this.
Apparently Samara Weaving Accidentally Struck Andie MacDowell in their fight scene in the face and Andie took it like the beautiful star she is and said just bring some ice please I'm fine and then stated in an interview that this happened while rehearsing their vicious fight scene and not while shooting it which is perfectly normal in all action sets and that it's not the first time and already hurt her back before the shooting even started as well .
Found this statement by Andie :
"I did kind of feel like a badass, but the thing of it is, right when I started the movie, I pulled out my back and I didn’t really want to tell anybody. It was frickin’ killing me. I’d like to take credit for the fact that she walks kind of funny, [and] I think I was trying to do it badass, but part of me thinks it’s also because my back was killing me!"
Classy lady love her energy and she still looks absolutely stunning.
Andie is awesome and so talented. she was totally snubbed by the emmys this year for her role in maid with her daughter

I got chills when the "Hide and Seek"song began playing at the end when she makes it to sunrise. And Mr.Le Bail appearing and giving a nod of congratulations.
I always pause and re watch the nod. :)
You guys have to do "You're Next" after this. For me both movies go hand in hand. Two underrated gems.
You’re next is bonkers
@@jacobmcmillan6787 The real trope twist. Lol
love that movie. the female lead literally does everything you want a protagonist to do
Considering she married into the family and now the entire family is dead she becomes the lone heiress to the family fortune. Great movie, very underrated.
if she doesn't get prosecuted for killing them
@@w1975b It would be a gigantic investigation, but... considering they had dead bodies beneath their barn (and odds are investigators will recover bits and pieces of evidence for satanic worship besides) she'd probably be able to get away with the self defense argument, easily.
@@w1975b There's a pit of corpses that outdate her on the property. She's fine.
@@w1975bShe will not be prosecuted, she has the pith of corpses that are decades old, the satanic room, the call she did for help and its impossible to prove that she killed them because he doesn’t have explosives. She is traumatized for life but rich as fuck, she earned it🔥🔥
There's so much you can read into within this movie, but I love how they didn't make Samara Weaving suddenly a badass Rambo, but kept her as a desperate survivor throughout.
I love how worried Nikki was in the beginning like “poor helpless bride” and I’m thinking just wait this is gonna be good. Loved even more Steven laughing as each person blew up. Such a unique plot and Samara/Grace makes a perfect fighter not victim final girl.
This is low key one of the best horror comedy movies out there. Deserves way more recognition.
OMG! I LOVE this movie. Thanks for the reaction!
Yea this film is great !
OMG Ronnie
"I knew it (the cult stuff) was bullshit--"
**Everyone suddenly explodes and then a mysterious figure appears and nods from the fireplace**
🤣🤣🤣
There’s a really fun fan-theory that had the Aunt not attempted to kill Grace after dawn, they might’ve all lived. Presumably, LaBail (apologies if I spelled the name wrong) only executed everyone as a penalty for the Aunt continuing to play/attempt to kill Grace after time was up. No where in the rules did it say they had to kill the bride before dawn, just find her. It’s a fun theory imo
When I first saw that nail during the goat pit scene it made me uneasy because I had an idea where this was going but I thought "No, they wouldn't do that". And then they did that. Her screams are very convincing.
I really enjoyed this movie. Her and Margot Robbie need to do a movie together where they play sisters.
They’re actually going to be in the movie Babylon together i dont think sisters but it’ll be interesting to see the two of them together lol
For so long i thought she was Margot Robbie....
Well they gonna make barbie together hehe
Samara is cast in the movie Babylon with Margot Robbie. 😁 Can’t wait to see that
Don't know if they are sisters but they are in a movie together this year or early next, I can't wait
The 1st version that i read actually ended with Grace getting killed, and it was a much darker ending, and it was something that they kind of knew they had to change cause i don't think it was the version they wanted to tell to begin with But once they all kind of collectively agreed like, 'Let's try to have our cake and eat it too and play out the version where Grace survives, it's not real, these fucking clowns completely fucked up, and then we kill them.' worked out for the best for sure this movie is a favorite for many.
The guy googling “are deals with the devil real” got me laughing
I recently heard a theory in the comments of somebody else reacting to this movie that the card for hide and seek is only pulled if it's a decent person who would never conform to what the family is when they found out so they have to be sacrificed and they probably keep a herd of goats on hand to sacrifice instead of the new spouse or maybe they sacrifice a goat every time a child is born into the family I don't know
Samara Weaving is AMAZING! ❤ she’s able to convey so many emotions at the same time in one scene, it’s awesome acting!
And fun fact: the name of the entity “Le Bail” is an anagram for Belial, a demon from the old testament
And "Le Domas" (the family) is also an anagram for Asmodel, another well-known demon in demonology.
@@davidmernick7360 cool!
"Ready or Not" is one of my favorite horror movies of recent years.
A very fun movie.
One of my favorites. I stood up in the theater and applauded the ending. Brilliant, perfect, show stopping, never the same.
Samara Weaving has 1 of the best screams in the business!!! Loved this film so much.
Keep in mind they don’t kill people at every wedding. There were 30 years between the first scene and the rest of the movie. They’re all rich enough to cover up one murder per generation
I love this movie and I will randomly say “Why does this always happen to me?!” all the time 😂😂
Steven's surprise to the "bursting" has to be included in any future best of compilations. That was amazing.
I currently live alone with my two pit bulls and I’m thankful that came across this channel because it allows me to watch movies I’ve seen and haven’t seen with people I would genuinely watch with in person without feeling alone. I love your reactions I love your content you seem like really good people and what you’re doing you may not realize it is helping a lot of those people who are alone right now, especially around the holidays so keep up the great work and thank you
Steven: “Y’all didn’t just combust and drop instantly.”
Me, knowing what’s next: Well yes, but actually no
I like the fact that Le domas’ masks at the beginning of ready or not reference the twilight zone.
If you want another good movie with Samara Weaving (Grace), you should watch Mayhem. It also stars Steven Yeun (Glenn from TWD). Another crazy one but very enjoyable.
I'd also add GUNS AKIMBO
And The Babysitter, if that one has not already been watched.
This is such a good movie. It has the perfect balance of horror, thriller & comedy. I also loved that until the end it never confirmed whether or not the pact with the devil was real or if it was just a superstition the family believed in.
i just realized (3 years later) that they were literally hanging out right before their wedding. isn’t it bad luck to for the groom to see the bride before the wedding?
Im very glad you reacted to this movie. I watched it for the first time a few months ago, and I didnt have any idea of what was it about, and I loved it! its gory, and funny too
in a very dark way. I loved Grace! she was so brave and never gave up, not even in the last second, she stood up to them and survived, a fighter and badass. Thank you for your reaction!
I like the theory that the curse was real and they all would walked away alive as long as they follow the rules. And the reason the family dies is because the Aunt breaks rules when she continued to try to kill the bride after dawn. I think it makes sense. But I know art is subjective so I won't say its fact lol
Very good film, one of my favourites. Samara Weaving is another great talent.
Great reaction! This movie is so much fun, I love it. And you’ve just been introduced to the amazing Samara Weaving (niece to Hugo Weaving), who has become a modern day scream queen icon. She is awesome!
This was one of my favorite surprise movies when I saw it in the theater. I thought it was going to be some schlock horror movie that I went to see because my wife wanted to, and it became a favorite. Samara Weaving is Hugo Weavings niece, so no surprise on acting ability.
Possibly the most quoted part of this movie in my house is the "God damnit Emily!" "I don't know what I'm doing!"
"Damn Daniel, at it again with the white Vans!" cracked up when Nikki said 'Damn Daniel' lol
Fun fact Samara Weaving is related to Hugo Weaving the same guy who played Elrond in The Lord of the Rings movies and Agent Smith in the Older Matrix Movies.
"How do they get away with all that death." I mean. They're rich.
Samara Weaving (The Bride) is also in The Babysitter, another horror comedy. She's just a fantastic actress, who would be a huge star if she didn't look so damn much like Margot Robbie.
"How is she going to get out of this?"
Well, there is the dead pit full of generations of bodies...
I remember watching in theaters! I cracked up so hard when the Le Domas’ started exploding into a bloody mess. 🤣
I’ll never forget that day! Lol 😂
Seeing this is theatres with no expectation was so fun!
still obsessed with this, it's got; hot brothers! political undercurrent! iconic final girl! satisfying ending! what an achievement, everybody involved should be proud 👌🙌👏
The father of the family is hilarious in this movie! died laughing at his screaming xD
This is one of my favorite more recent horror movies. It’s so original in the concept. And Samara Weaving killed it. The creators of this film made the new Scream (2022) as well as the new Scream movie coming out next year. They know what they’re doing.
This was a blast to watch live, one of my top five horror movies for sure!
One of my favorite horror movies of ALL TIME, infinitely rewatchable
“How do u get away with so many murders”?
Did u not hear them say NO ONE ever pulls that card
THIS FILMMM! I saw it in cinemas and honestly one of my top 10. Hope it gets more recognition it's so criminally underrated!
I loved this movie. The ending sealed it for me because they actually went there.
Knives Out is the non horror version of it in the tradition of Clue.
Knives out sucks 🤮
I love that the movie makes you believe they are paranoid about the family's death if they don't do the ritual. And then hit you with the truth in the end. Could've gone either way and I would've liked the ending.
So I met her for the first time in the movie The Babysitter on Netflix, I highly recommend them, they have the same vibe as this one but a little less "adult" but she is such an amazing actress and I am happy you guys watched a movie with her in it!
This movie was brilliant. Glad you guys enjoyed it ❤
Fun fact Samara Weaving is the niece of Hugo Weaving the villain from the first Matrix.
Very similar vibe to 2011s "You're Next". That film did well as I think it hit 25m takings from a 1m budget.
38:45 - she should tell the police exactly what happened, step by step, up until the "exploding" part. She should say she blacked out on the table, came to and everyone is gone, blood everywhere. She should inherit all the money.
If it hasn't already been mentioned, at 19:14, that isn't a shotgun shell, that's a bullet for an elephant gun, possibly in the .600-.900 inch diameter range. You need a projectile like that to stop an angry elephant, tiger or similar if it's charging you (no judgement either way on hunting).
This is why I love watching you guys react to movies like this! It's like reliving the way I reacted to this the first time! I hope you've already done WOULD YOU RATHER? or KNIVES OUT!
First time I watched this it immediately became one of my fave movies, it´s so good and the twists are *chefskiss*
I had exact same reaction when I first watched it as Steven.. like "duhh of course nothing happens in the morning you superstitious psycho idiots..." and than they started exploding 🤣🤣 it's so ridiculously over the top and cliche you don't expect it but it's brilliant. the actress who place Grace is amazing I love her!
I’m so glad you watched this, it’s such a fun horror movie with one of the best endings ever!
The scene where they explode is one of the best "HELL YEAH" horror scenes, up there with the Cabin in the Woods "let's get this party started" scene.
i’ve rewatched this movie tons of times .. i love it .. glad you guys liked it !!
I wasn't horrified about all the gore and killings. I was so worried about her freaking hand, it's going to be infected.. lmao
After all that she probably inherited all the fortune so she will have the best doctors treat her😂😂
This film is one of my favourites in the last few years, didnt know much going into it myself but ended up loving it alot
So this mansion is an actual place (many movies and tv shows have filmed here- The Boys, Umbrella Academy, Handmaids Tale, etc) and I was planning on having my wedding here.
Maaaaaaybe I shouldn't. 😅
Samara " Grace" Weaving is AWESOME in this movie! - Her scream is so natural pure primal fear and the voice breaking she does when screaming is just WOW! - First time I´ve seen a female that kick ass and did not run around in high heels rolling her eyes and screaming in a high pitch damsel in distress kind a way. Thanks for a great reaction video guys. Love from Sweden 💙💛
Oh and the music was/is brilliant in this movie. Best version of Love Me Tender evah XD
Melanie Scrofano is fantastic. I love that she earned a role in a big movie. She was so great in Wynonna Earp, and a very nice person in real life.
My head canon is that the family didn't get splatted right away because ... you-know-who was PLAYING with them. It's always been a game.
Please follow through with Grace's badass outfit as your Halloween costume. We need pictures.
I agree
Seeing this in theaters was such a blast!
*Edit* :I also just noticed Alex only blew up after Grace said she wanted a divorce. 🤯
Absolutely loved this movie! I also had the thought "This is my next Halloween costume" same as Nikki 😂
The Bride is fucking iconic 💯
Have you ever seen Stardust?
I think you both would enjoy that
Went to see the movie back then with some friends cause we were all fans of Melanie Scrofano (Emilie) and it was her first role on the big screen I think. She was the lead in a show called Wynonna Earp and we met being part of the fandom. Anyway, the day we went there was just one other person in the theater with us....such a weird experience. Might have been because we went to the OG version and not the dubbed version (German here), but watchuing a movie with like 4 people and one you don't know in a big ass theater is WEIRD!!! We still had an amazing time, loooove the movie
I watched this movie a month before I was supposed to get married. I absolutely loved it! Somora Weaving is amazing!!! Now you need to see The Babysitter and Guns Akimbo! You will absolutely love her in them both!!
did your partner's family hunt you down too?😭
@@istr1102 actually his parents never showed up however we lasted two years and it that says something because it was a nightmare!!
shes also the actress in the movie The Babysitter, she played the main antagonist, the killer babysitter.
Grace is one of my favorite final girls in Horror Movies. Erin from You're next is my all-time favorite.
I watched this on a flight (either New Zealand-Hong Kong or Hong Kong-Manchester) and I mostly watched it because the description was super, super vague and I was like 'What is this?!' And it turned out to be the most perfect union of horror and camp I have ever seen!
Also, Samara Weaving took 'scream queen' to a whole new level. Those screams were extraordinary.
The Shotgun she used with the giant shells. Is what’s called an Elephant gun. Hence why the slug & shells were so huge.
Yes! I love this movie. Wish more people would react. I tell ya, her scream - like a goat, is amazing. Like the goats they sacrificed.
This is one of my favourite movie. The last words is great when asked who did this? "In-laws." 🤣
the screaming goats reference 😂i don't think Steve could roll his eyes any harder
Samara Weaving always ends up covered in blood and she's always this awesome. She's also Hugo Weaving's niece (agent Smith from The Matrix.)
I love this movie, great reaction guys!
One of the most underrated movies of the last decade. Another movie worth checking out is Last Night in Soho
I've never been more glad that in real life that anyone who plays hide and seek doesn't kill anyone they find because so many people, even I would be dead.
Samara Weaving is amazing and she’s been casted in the upcoming Scream so you guys will see her again!
She is a true scream QUEEN
Samara Weaving is my scream queen. She had me at The Babysitter and I will never turn back.
Great Reaction as always! This is one of the most underratted horror/comedy films of the last few years, but its sooo good. One of my favs.
Ready or Not was a surprise to me. I didn't think I would enjoy it but it ended up being really good. And the song was catchy.
Samara Weaving is in the new Scream movie that’s currently filming. She’ll be a good addition because that scream she has is perfect! Shes great in this movie.
I was told about this movie one day at work and thought it would be dumb but when I watched it it quickly became one of my favorite movies 😆 🤣 😂 the ending blew me away. Great show Steve and Nikki keep up the WONDERFUL work 👏 😀 👍 👌 🙌
