What happens if the old screen only has the top magnet? The bottom right of the iPad was missing... but i have the top one. How important are the magnets?
Three things you should learn before changing one of these screens: 1.- Disconnect the battery before disconnecting the LCD and connect it after connecting the LCD and the Digitizer. 2.- Clean all surfaces before trying to connect them. 3.- Delete this video from UA-cam so you don't lose reputation. And in addition, you don't need to wear those gloves. Not only do they look ridiculous, but they don't help you pick up small pieces with your fingers.
Any idea on the magnets? The iPad I'm repairing only has the top magnet and not the bottom one...what can I do?
Thanks bud, just followed along and got my ipad 2 working again 👍 Doesn't turn off when I close the cover but I guess you lose something with aftermarket parts. Better than the ipad 6 I tried earlier, home button doesn't work and it reboots every couple of minutes so basically trash 😂

I cringe everytime i hear the scratching sound everytime you slide the ipad against the table. I know it's an old device with a lot of scratches already but still it wont hurt to place it on some towel or rag to avoid damaging it even further.
