Kudos Respawn, I’ve eaten my own words. Love the animations and interactions! I will say, it would take it to the next level if that tracked all the various Nessie plushies that Wattson left over the various maps.

So apparently, the spitfire skin you got was a skin they accidentally put in the game. It was meant for the next event. You as well as tgm got some of the skins. You got some spit fire and the gaming merchant got a bunch of banner frames, trackers, and a horizon skin. Keep in mind this is just a rumor though

Yeah nowadays the apex community complains about anything and everything. It's a neat heirloom, probably the most fun and detailed heirloom yet. Super cute and I wish I had it even though I don't play watson.
It feels like they're trying to make cooler animations and that rather than just giving the legends a cool bagasse weapon

Yeah its a kind of mermaid themed event lifeline and fuse are getting a mermaid themed skin too fuse is matching the colors of the spitfire skin

I always thought it would be cool if Watson had electricity gloves that arc lightning between them (similar to her revive animation) for her heirloom
kandy, you get only one event skin from event packs, but in this case they accidentally put skins/trackers from next thematic event in this event's pack and you got those trackers/skins (like ash tracker,spitty skin), it's a mistake from respawn's side.
Next event is a water theme I think.

I love it! Both animation wise AND the look. Again Lifeline does have drumsticks and Mirage a statue and Path boxing gloves. 😂 I love em all too. Awesome vid as always Kandy!
I am a wattson main and i love this thing. Wattson isn't the type to make a weapon so I'm glad it is a electro scanner. It fits her so much.

The "Pieces of Eight" skin name comes from the spanish dollar which was worth 8 reales. It was the coin that pirates in the age of piracy would probably most often come across. POTC did make reference to them and possibly popularized the association with pirates, so it may be a nod to the franchise.

Seeing the heirloom in game i'm glad it's as good as i'd hoped it would be, when I got spoilt about it from data miners I was very 50/50 about it, but seeing the final product it looks great, plus I don't really care for the apex communities opinions on heirlooms consider the same community complained about caustics death hammer because he wasn't beating people with a coffee mug.
hell they had some of the worst heirloom concepts for revenant and respawn gave him one of the best looking hierlooms in the game

Seeing the sudden positive response to the heirloom, it seems that Apex devs giving this to the player base is like when parents tell a kid they are going to like something and the kid is like no way and whines about it and then ends up liking it after all when they actually get it.
They could make her a lightning gloves, that'd be so cool, and there's just sparks going everywhere when you punch
It may not be the best looking heirloom but it certainly is the nicest and cutest especially with the inspect animations
