As a producer I agree a lot with Bink’s perspective
When the brother Bink says reinventing himself, he reminds me of comedians in how they develop their voice and new material-acts constantly.
Just Blaze was an EMPLOYEE. Which means he was the guy who the label called to bring in sounds of other producers instead of the label paying 4 producers. There is nothing wrong with that. Every label has one on retainer. However, he can’t say he’s a GOAT
Bink is from the ole school is 1000% all about creativity. Imagine how much music and other things would not exist if people didn't use an existing format.
The credits for that Crooklyn record states 5 samples were used

I was in the studio wit bink and for that short time was dope, he need his fckn flowers, he one of my top10 producers in my life that molded me but wen i make a beat that sound like his beat yea i keep it but i rather him hear it and tell me this and that than to jus put it out or sell it without his input then im dead wrong and not give him a co-production if anything..va i gotta have that integrity to get his approval to make sure we on the same page, and I definitely don’t touch another person beat or change nthn without that person being there…bink open, middle and closed the blueprint….give my guy his fckn flowers..i pray to get back in the stu wit bink to continue to build and learn from the teachers

I look at Just Blaze as the Black mamba of producing! I would not consider it copying! I consider he was inspired by other sounds of music like everyone was. Let's be honest music was borrowed always! Whether it was sampled or created, the inspiration came from somewhere! So Kobe Bryant learned everyone he looked up to in the NBA what you going to call him a copier??? Nah Because to actually do those moves in the game is a challenge in itself! I even tried doing those moves and some of those moves were challenging to do! The fact that Kobe can learn them and actually mimic them in the game makes him amazing! Kobe was also inspired by these other NBA Players. Now Kobe gave props to whom he was inspired by whether it was Jordan, magic whomever. If Just Blaze isn't saying I was inspired by these producers than that is a different story. Plus MC's never cared about a beat! if they can rap to it they just do it because honestly producers never got recognition like that from MC's that much.
your right kobe having to still apply those moves takes alot .... but it doesnt take alot to trace in music production ... you can literally watch a youtube video of someone creating a beat and do every move they do and come out with the same results ... not many people can watch jordan on youtube and just immediately perform the same moves ... if you got someones formula you can utilize that as a crutch until you find your own ... or i guess in blazes case just continue to use it ... especially in this digital era you can literally copy and paste now with the software ... make templates etc

Ok lemme say i love the show..this was probably the best episode i’ve watched..Bink’s insight and knowledge is that of a father of the village..i’m so GLAD he put that “PAUSE” bullshit in its proper perspective..grown,straight men aint thinking about a penis when we say certain things..it might be fun amongst friends but it has completely gotten out of hand..these dudes eating hotdogs with forks out here..p.s. the only thing that made this interview not perfect is the audio is COMPLETELY horrible..sounds like it was recorded on a phone mic 😢😂

Hitman can stop talking about if he won or lost, got booed too soon or not- the *new* narrative being painted that he should be proud to be a part of is battle rappers knowing their worth and rethinking their contracts going forward. Hitman isn't stuck with a single league and *now* neither is Eazy. That battle changed the game for the better. Battle rappers will take a closer look at their branding, their futures in battle rap, their visibility, and their contracts.

I disagree with Bink. Even though he's one of my top 10 of all time, Blaze might have sounded like him in the beginning but his sound is different now and has been for a while. Also, blame needs to be placed on Bink as well for not being aggressive for his spot if he felt it was taken or he didn't have it. Bink also admitted he learned from Tip, not like Bink didn't change later. The same applies for Blaze. Not to mention, all these guys sample anyway, so they are jacking a sound regardless.
I think Lil Cam should be a rapper. He may as well. He looks like a rapper. If he can read and write and speak fluently even eloquent. I'd call him Lil Cam. That's hot. Give him the best producers in the well let stop thinking aloud and typing. I'm always thinking. I'm a thinking likely more than others. I like thirteen super star women no kidding kitties kittens, but but Nicki Minaj would my top choice. Ripley's believe it or not. She's super super super hot. I can’t agree with Bink. He sounds jealous. If Just just made soul beats, I could understand. But there’s different variations of Just Blaze. There’s Song Cry Just Blaze, and there’s Flipside Just Blaze. There’s Theowback by Usher Just Blaze, and there’s Alright by Freeway Just Blaze. The truest thing he said is that Just is a chameleon. But Just has a sound. It’s not like he’s all over the damn place.
