I've never tried anything like this before, but I'm a white woman who wears wigs because my own fell out years ago and I have been spending money trying to find the perfect wig ever since. Unless I spend hundreds on a wig, there aren't many options out there for me. I would LOVE a curly wig like this! Oh, I didn't mention that I have to order large cap wigs so my options are even less! You did a beautiful job and it looks beautiful on you!
Yes definitely take it on & off. Thats what makes it a convenient crochet style that will last much longer ;) I just keep mine on a foam wig head at night
It got a little frizzy but to me, the older it gets, the better(more natural) it looks. To maintain its curl pattern, I'd suggest not applying any product on the hair :)

No it didn't shrink because I didn't install the hair on the band and I left a lot of space in between each piece of hair
