I think you’re doing an amazing job. I have 3 bi racial kids. 2 girls and 1 boy. My sons hair is more like my hair (I’m white) my oldest daughter who’s 8 her hair is more like your daughters and my youngest daughter has really tight curls like 4a texture. Girls hair comes in all types. I’m just grateful you are taking care of her hair cause there’s some moms out there who don’t even try so all the people out there saying negative things just ignore.

Hey, Mama quick curly girl tip!! I have the same hair type as your baby girl and the ends of my hair also tangle quickly if I haven't had a very small trim in a while its usually just a bit of dry dead ends...I usually go for half an inch never ever any more than a full inch because it can ruin my curl pattern. My hair color is also similar and my ends get 1 to2 shades lighter when they need a trim. Hope this helps :) Great video and many blessings to you and your family!

I think it's pretty cool that you posted up this video. I've been in many natural hair forums and many white women with biracial children join the conversation and have tons of questions on how to care for their daughter's hair. I always say if you don't ask you won't know. I love that mom's with interracial families take the time out to learn.
In regards to her dry hair. Try giving your daughter more hot oil treatments which will help lock the moisture into her curls. I'm not biracial, but my grandmother was and I have her hair texture. Doing hot oil treatments on my hair every week or every other week has helped to combat the frizz and lock in moisture. Also for detangling try the Jane Carter's Revitalizing leave in spray. Protects your hair from the sun and also great for detangling thick hair. For the brush try the new EZ Detangling brush. My stylist uses that on my hair and it does wonder. My hair is thick like your daughter's so I know the struggle. Good luck Mom.

I just cried! I have been looking for hair tips for a long time. Never have I ever found such good info in one comment. And I haven’t watched the video yet but I am now. Maybe this will help. My daughter has shoulder length hair. It’s very very thick. And super coarse hair. I think it’s my fault but I can’t really get it to grow. And her baby hair (she’s 8) that hair is so frizzy or just curls up. And makes a headband type puffy around her head. I just don’t know what else to do. I’m gonna try these ideas with the hot oil treatment. Never tried that. I am mixed but my hair is very manageable compared to hers.

My appreciate this, I don’t want to damage her hair and want it to grow nice and long. I still don’t know what hair texture she’ll have but I’m getting ready early.

There is soo much content now online for all types of hair care as well as salons that specialise in natural Afro hair so I dont see how any mum can play the ' i don't know what to do'. Curly and afro hair definitely needs more time and care but its doable and any little girl loves their hair cared for and done.

Help everything that I put in my mixed raced daughters hair makes her scalp n ears itch !!! Brands ive used are Cantu, miss jessies, aunt jackies, shea moisture, just for me, pantene pro-v good series ,and cream of nature . So her first year of life I was at first using the whole cantu line co- wash , conditioner, stylers etc. and it was working decent enough. As she got older and her hair longer it seemed to change alittle and the cantu wasnt working as good so I began to try other brands . Now she is 22 months old and I eneded up trying n using the whole aunt jackies line from shampoo to the baby curl pink curl cream and oh my stars her hair was gorgeous, quenched, shiney and just made her coils just beautiful, BUT she would itch her head and ears and behind her neck terrible! To the point she would scratch so hard she would break the skin! So im so frustrating n feel terrible for my baby girl ! I finally find products that work for her hair but their causing some kind of reaction i think . Im going to try a brand called Eden bodyworks kids line that you could literally eat or drink the products because they are vegan and made with all natural ingredients and the products smell like a fruit smoothies ! Its one of the more expensive brands ive come across but if it works doesn’t cause her to itch then ill be happy ! Anyone elses toddler or child get itchy from certain products and if so what did you do to help with the itchiness ? I just stopped using aunt Jackies but at a huge cost , that cost being I haven’t found a product that works good on her hair . Her hair is between 3c and 4a . For those saying this is not black hair --- YOU ARE DEAD WRONG ....
    I disagree.
I'm 100% black and so is my wife. We're FULL BLOWN AFRICAN CANADIANS.
Our 12 year old very tall son has hair texture almost Iike that. Our daughter, however has our very kinky curly African hair but very long at the same time almost touching her back now - she's 14. I have locs and do have long hair but it is still kinky like the average West African hair.
Till today we are amazed where our son's gene came from. Nature is really a miracle.
We believe one of our ancestors may have had some Cherokee or 1st nation's gene in them. Anyway, my son is as black as Snoop Dogg.
For us blacks even if you have a drop of African in you ... you're black... and as hair goes, my son and Snoop Dogg is proof that Black people of all percentages have different forms of curly hair.
My son is 5'10, age 12 with curly hair over his shoulder now. This girl is black and her curly hair is because of her black dad's genes hence this video.
It's BLACK HAIR. Doesn't always have to be kinky. Please visit Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malta, Seychelles and Somalia - all in Africa. Some of you need a little education in curly hair types of all African genome types.
PS: My daughter is also called ZOE, my son is ZADOK

Everyone posts wash day tutorials but I need help with what to do daily for my daughter. Can anyone help?

Hi! You're right...there aren't many "everyday" videos - I'll make one! But in the meantime, how does your daughter wear her hair? Loose & natural or in a protective style? For my son's daily routine with a natural hair style, in the mornings I heavily spritz with distilled water to wake up the curls, then finger comb through his curls with a daily leave in conditioner or oil, then add some gel as needed. Right now, my favorite routine is from CurlMix.com - it eliminates the daily routine by keeping the curls on point. (You just have to spritz a bit with water to wake up any curls that got smashed while sleeping.) And then repeat once a week. Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions! xoxo, T (Thank you for watching!)

So what do you do for the day-to-day stuff when you don't wash her hair like what products do you put in it everyday on days the hair is not washed?

    • @TamiMajtan
      @TamiMajtan  3 роки тому +1

Great question - thank you for asking it! I like the all natural route - using a water bottle (mixed with distilled water and oils such as olive, jojoba, almond, avocado - whatever her hair likes!) spritz the hair morning and night and anytime her hair needs a refresher. Then scrunch the hair to gently incorporate it in. Hope this helps! Let me know! xoxo, T

@@TamiMajtan I like the precision beauty and the best tool brush basically a brush without those little rubber knobs you see on to the ends of brush bristles I want a straight bristle that will go through my hair but if I got a tangle because it doesn't have that rubber rounded tip my hg air can slip off if I catch a tangle instead of gettung caught on those rubber tips

      I disagree.

@GYPSY JEWS For real. Everyone, but some black people see biracial as black. Where I’m from there is no distinction because it’s all the same. Some people treat being black like it’s an exclusive club when the fact of the matter is it’s the easiest club to get into cause if you look black, you are black.
