Thank you, and Thanks for watching my video
Such a wonderful idea for gifts .
Thankyou 😊
I'm not bragging, but down here in the Tampa St-Pete area, I literally have MORE ferns in my flower beds than I know what to do with. I literally have to take a lawn mower and cut them back about once a year. If I need a fern for a potted plant, I just go out and dig one up. Get ferns, they are the easiest thing in the world to grow! And they look great on your patio or lanai!
Nice to hear from you, Yes Florida weather is great for ferns. I cringe every time I Mow because I have to mow over some as well. Thanks for watching my video.
Another nice thing about oakleaves - they're lightweight! Important for beginners, elderly, or children, who don't have a big set of gardiner-muscles. :)
❤, thanks for watching my video

Boston & macho ferns are annuals where I live. I’m in 7B here in NY. I have hardy autumn, holly & lady in red ferns. I planted also some queen ferns & they already spread new shoots.
I have family in up state New York, they have a campsite and it gorgeous up there. Happy Growing 🌸🌷
Hello Madam. How are you.? I like gardening too much & SPECIALLY BOSTON FERNS is my most favourite plant...! I like your all videos I'm from Pakistan south Asia. Lot of thanks about your videos.
Thank you for watching my video's. And thank you for the kind comments. Gardening was something that my grandmother taught me as a girl now it is a passion. good luck with your garden.
Thanks for the information! I think I’m going to plant som Boston ferns on the shady side of my house where the grass doesn’t grow near the house.
Will it survive the winter? I’m in Louisiana.
I grew up in Louisiana, the winters are crazy. Planting close to the house will add protection against the cold, also a thick layer of mulch. I had ferns in my yard there. They would die back when if got really cold but in the spring I would see new little sprouts. Planting zone for ferns are zones 4-8. Louisiana planting zones are 8-9 so they should be good without any special treatment.
Well my Boston ferns I planted totally died 😢. I was so bummed! Maybe I’ll try again. I waited and waited but the didn’t come back.
your ferns are beautiful...Im planting some ferns from a pot to the ground - it's early fall where I am..my question is, should I cut the prongs ?
Good to hear from you, how cold does it get where your at?
@@Tidbits4u definitely cold - I'm in Southern Ontario Canada...similar weather to New York, Michigan. I have nice leaf mulch to throw on top and we have plenty of happy healthy ferns on my property, so they should be aok. I got them late from a girlfriend who uses them to decorate her beach front patio but then discards them....I said NO NO..I want em all!! but had to wait till now to get them as she is just closing her summer residence. and THANK. YOU so much for answering!!
@@HighFiveMoms Good luck and happy growing. Yes, I would cut them back and add lots of mulch. 😊🌼
Woodglut has a very large project base.
so, you use regular potting mix
Yes I do for my potted plants, for the plants in my garden beds and flowerbeds I amend the soil with compost that has chicken, rabbit poop. But I also feed my potted plants with worm tea. And that seems to give them a boost. Thanks for watching my video.
Algorithms!!
🙋♀️ how much is 3 growing seasons?
Hello, Thanks for watching my video. A growing season is approximately 1 year for ferns here where I live. I mention growing season because sometimes depending on the climate and region it my differ. Here in Florida, a year can be 2 or sometimes 3 growing seasons. I am sorry for the confusion.
