- Everton beat Brighton 5-1. The fans were just a wall of sound from 10 minutes before the start till all the Seagulls had gone home!! And what a goal from Doucs! 💙

@@tricornclub9594 Brighton still had 500 more completed passes had 3 x the amount of possession had 14 more shots. But the big difference was we had 5 on target and scored 5 Brighton had 24 shots only 5 on target and only scored one of them and Everton won twice as many tackles so it was all down to commitment more desire to win and being far more clinical in front of goal. I mean Pickford made 3 or 4 world class saves and Brighton hit the bar twice it's not as though they were terrible and didn't show up . The1st half Everton just absolutely out played them in every single position but in the 2nd half Brighton certainly improved and give it all they could but on the day they were up against a team who didn't put a foot wrong and for once made no mistakes and made the most of our opportunities. Our last game away at Leicester we played really well and we actually had over 20 shots on goal but only scored 2 so we were due a big performance were it all just clicks and last night was that night, probably the best Everton performance away from home in 5 yrs imo.
@@mrjasondylan Slim margins Jason. On another day Pickford doesn't make the saves and it's a different story. As you say, the difference at Brighton was our clinical finishing.
