Video popped up on my home page randomly, and what do you know. Few seconds in and there I am driving into the car park in the red ute haha. Cool video 👍 gotta love eagle vs shark
I love riding in Rotorua. I have been lucky enough to ride in Whistler, Europe and Queenstown but still think Rotorua is awesome. I don't think some of the locals know how lucky they are.
Thank god for the explanation a JAFA in the UK is used to describe a bloke who shoots blanks! (Jaffa Orange seedless). But with some of those hard knocks some of you have taken it could have been possible! 🇬🇧👍
what a top bloke! good on ya mate. great video, commentary and riding from a Pommy in Sydney. Can't wait to get over to NZ when Auntie Jacinda gives Uncle Scotty the nod.
The last jump at the end is my next one to try. and maybe that step down one just before it as well. I always stayed away from double down track as I may want to try something on it that I shouldn't.
Drop was easy, it was more like 1m high and all week I was getting all worked up about it after you said 1.5m Haha. And then I hit my bars on a tree at the start of the 2nd wooden feature and had to abort. I dont know why Double Down is rated grade 6, it was good fun and nothing crazy on it. Did the last jump 3 times but I found it a little poppy compared to the other jumps I have done. Not sure if I would do the last jump on my standard MTB as the E-bike feels safer to jump due to its weight.
What trail is the big gap jump on? (@2' 25"). There's a gang of us heading from Chch in Nov, we're well over due another visit to 'Vegas. Hit me up when you get down this way, awesome trails in Canterbury (what a one eye I am, ha-ha!)
Happy to show you around. CAP is just a small part of an amazing network of trails all across the Port Hills, and you've got to get out to Craigieburn if you've made it down this far :-D
I have talked about that with the guys. But they are creatures of habit and I seem to get out voted. Also the shuttles have been slow with covid so have been avoiding using them.
Great work
Nice video very entertaining!

Thanks Lizzie. Did some jumps yesterday. Biggest jumps we have ever done. Video will come out next few weeks.
Inspired me to visit NZ. You should be Aunty Js ambassador! Keep em up.
Let's hope Aunty J will let you in.
Outstanding trail and video! Thanks Mate!
Brilliant content as always 👍
Entertaining as always well done
Cracking video , great riding guys, rotorvegas trails look amazing

That is really funny. I have no kids so maybe I am a jafa on 2 fronts.🤣🤣🤣
@@bestdayevermtb2 Love your videos mate.
good jumps those jumps look sick.
They are really good jumps for beginners. Not to big but really good fun.
Awesome vid! Next time you’re at Katore jumps you’re in for a surprise! They’ve been “edited” 👌😄 they’re now a bit bigger but more fun!
Way ahead of you. Watch tonight's video.
Awesome! Looking forward to it.
Looks like a great place to ride. Very similar to the terrain in Western Oregon.
My brother in law lives near Portland so i am sure I will get there one day. His idea of Mtb is 100 mile xs rides with no motor.
Wow! 100 miles is about 80 miles more than I want to ride xc with no motor.
We live about one hour south of Portland from mid June to October.

Thanks for the support. I will give Aunty J a call and see if she will make an exception for you.
Best video ever
Awesome......keep it up !
Thanks alot.
Good video. That 1080p@60 is clean; nice job.
Thanks very much. I look at my old videos and the quality isn't great. Slowly getting there.
Saw you at woodhill on Sunday. You were about to drop into kamma cuzzie. Was a great day for riding. Keep it up.
Was a great day. Good to have Woodhill open again.
Awesome riding, those tracks look like so much fun. (Jealousy watching from lockdown in Melbourne.)
Lockdown is no fun. Hope you get to go riding soon
@@bestdayevermtb2 Thanks, it's all good. We're getting through lockdown doing whatever riding we can in the local area 👍.
Great videos. You thought about bring Dads Army to the Christchurch Adventure Park ?
It is a great idea. Strange times at the moment but it looks like we won't be leaving nz for awhile so trip to South Island makes sense.
Sweet vid...C O V I D is 1984
You guys are hard case will catch up with guys sometime E mtber

Good luck and stay safe.
@@bestdayevermtb2 how high is that wooden drop at the start of double down?
@@SjwNz08 at a guess 1.5 metres. It is very easy to do and requires no speed.

@@SjwNz08 I must admit guessing measurements is not my strong point and from memory is terrible. Glad you managed it ok.
What trail was that at 4:00
Tuteata. We love that trail. Do it every time.
Best Day Ever MTB I might try it next time I go
What trail was the first jump after eagle vs shark? 2:15
When are you going to Summerhill MTB park
NICE VID
Didn't make it this time but will get there this summer. Next trip is for 2w but not sure I will have time for summerhill on that trip.
@@bestdayevermtb2 All goods. Hope you have a good time.

It is called the river. It is at the bottom of the first section of Taniwha or national DH. Would love to ride Christchurch bike park some time.

@@darrenleslie981 Sounds good.
so keen to get out of crappy Auckland and send rota
It is a great feeling to head south sometimes.
Do you guys park down by the Mill?
We often do.
Thanks again lance another BDE. May I ask what type/brands of armour where the boys wearing please?
No idea. Will see if I can find out for you.
Best Day Ever MTB Thanks need to buy some myself.
I wear a 661 Pressure Suit, it has elbow and shoulder pads plus a back protector and small chest protector. Has done me proud for a number of years 👍
Graham Plowman I appreciate your reply thanks. I wasn’t sure whether to go for the elbows but I guess its a suit for knar.
Murray Byers I find that having elbow protection is worth while as I sometimes hit the ground pretty hard!
when r u going to try The big jumps on the shuttle side
I have talked about that with the guys. But they are creatures of habit and I seem to get out voted. Also the shuttles have been slow with covid so have been avoiding using them.
What was the name of the trail that u did at 2.30
It is called the river
It is at the bottom of the first section of the DH tracks
Where the the big jump at the start of the video?
Hi Henry. It is called the River. If you go down Taniwha/ DH track and come out at the first road it is just there on your right.
Any subscriber rides coming up 🤷🏻♂️
Never really thought about that. Is that something you would be interested in? Where would you suggest? May have to wait till 1 though.
Yeah i think it’s be fun or atleast funny
River head or Rotorua 🤷🏻♂️
