Im Herbst startet die vierte Staffel The Voice of Germany mit einer noch nie dagewesenen Coach-Besetzung: Neben Smudo und Michi Beck von den Fantastischen 4, Heimkehrer Rea Garvey und Sunrise Avenue-Frontmann Samu Haber, wird nun auch Silbermond-Frontfrau Stefanie Kloß auf einem der roten Drehstühle Platz nehmen. „Ich freue mich auf die Zusammenarbeit mit Smudo, Michi, Samu und Rea. Nena hat ihre Rolle als Coach großartig umgesetzt und ich werde versuchen, das Coaching-Team bestmöglich zu verstärken.“ Als einzige Frau ihrer Band, besitzt Stefanie bestimmt auch den nötigen Biss, um sich gegenüber ihren männlichen Coach-Kollegen zu behaupten.
"Unfuckingfassbar!" - Nachdem Rea Garvey letztes Jahr pausiert hatte, um sein neues Album "Pride" zu produzieren, wird er sich in der kommenden Staffel wieder in den Coach-Sessel schwingen und für seine Favoriten buzzern. "The Voice of Germany ist die wichtigste Musikshow im deutschen Fernsehen und ich freue mich, wieder nach Hause zu kommen!"
Auch Sunrise Avenue-Frontmann, Samu Haber bleibt The Voice of Germany erhalten. The BossHoss hingegen werden in dieser Staffel erstmalig nicht dabei sein. Für die Cowboys und deren roten Doppelstuhl wurde aber ein würdiger Ersatz gefunden: Mit Smudo und Michi Beck von den Fantastischen Vier , konnte sich The Voice of Germany ein Stück deutsche Musikgeschichte sichern. Seit ihrem ersten Charterfolg "Die da?!" sind die Kult-Hip-Hopper nie richtig von der Bildfläche verschwunden. Stattdessen versorgten sie Deutschland weiterhin mit Hits wie: "TROY" oder "25".

As a huge Nirvana fan I think she did extremely well. She did better than any other cover I have heard. She seemed to capture the song in a very detailed way. I give props for at least researching the song which she clearly did.

There are a lot of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" covers on all kinds of The Voice shows out there. But this is the only one I was comfortable with. She understands the brilliance of the song is the rawness, simplicity and power. She kept those aspects.

The voice need that same feel that transmit the original piece, not needed to sing like Kurt. That's why singing sad doesn't fit well. But this cover it's fine to me :D
Why is this being hated on? I don't get it! I really enjoyed it! Now most of you might say "You don't know Kurt Cobain! If you were a real Nirvana fan you would agree that this sucked." OK. To each his own opinion. I personally think none of you personally know Kurt either. So you all can just back off. This lady was great and at least she had the guts to sing a song she really loved. Last time checked you were allowed to do so. :/

Comparing her performance to Nirvana isnt fair to her or them. She pulled it off give her credit. She had the attitude, the guts to sing this song, and killed the lyrics. I could rock out to this anyday.

I ended up here from the version The Voice of Romania ! To be frank in my opinion Larisa Ciortan deserve first place she did an amazing cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit ! She was much better ,absolutley nailed the vocals with her different pitches !

Was this a good cover? Yes, she sings nice. Was it exactly like Nirvana? No. Because there is only one Kurt Cobain and he committed suicide (in case y'all forgot). Honestly speaking, I don't think we need another Kurt. Someone with his talent - yes. But not another him. There's no need for more amazing singers to kill themselves.
As for the thing that everyone says - "don't mess with Nirvana" - let me ask you. How the hell are the new generations supposed to learn about this band if not by people covering them? I mean, if people stop singing their songs then everything the teenagers in 20 years from now know about Nirvana is going to be that they were famous once upon a time. Trust me on this one, not many of them will actually check what they were about. Now, it's another story if you hear someone on TV cover "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - you think, 'Hey, that's great! What is the original song?'.

it's SO AMAZING!
She sings some wrong notes but still in the right key, and she has energy and the way she sings the verses is breathy and quiet like it should be. Only problem is her voice's vibrato is too damn much but damn she understands the song.
my younger brother was watching Pan and then i saw the scene where Blackbeard's slaves sing this song aloud....and then i had to watch all the different singers singing it because i just cant stop listening it
