The real daughter died and they adopted saekyung who is the girl in this shorts, she then grew up to become a cellist and had a daughter named eunho in an arranged marriage. After giving birth she somehow couldn't play cello anymore so she wanted to pass the talent to her daughter and trained her since she was a toddler, her daughter had talent but didn't like cello still played cuz of her mother's wish.
Saekyung has an actual father who is alive but she thinks her father hates her and gave her away to them so she hates him, she comes to learn later that it wasn't the case when her father dies ( eunho was 5y.o) then.
Later on when eunho turns 18 they come to live in the father's house after saekyung has divorced her husband, she resents both her husband and her daughter for ruining her life and is an alcoholic. Eunho becomes tired of hearing the same story over and over and dealing with her drinking and leaves the house with her belongings and cello to go to her father, finds out her father has a girlfriend and has a mental breakdown and loses her will to live.
She then comes across a mysterious shop and decides to sell her cello there, after which she time travels to the timeline when her mother (saekyung) was 18y.o and went to USA for further studies. She finds this out a d pretends to be her mother (they both look identical) and tries to find her mother's first love and somehow get her mother married to him cuz if she doesn't marry her father, she naturally won't be born

@@lizzielovegood6607 the only part I can blame se-Young adoptive parents is that they should not have adopted her ( se-Young ) in the first place, better still they should have just cancel her adoption and return her when they noticed how much she was trying to fit into their late daughter position.. which would never have been possible coz those parents were still heartbroken from the death of their child.. there is nothing se-Young would have done that could have changed their mind except they decided to move on by themselves which would also take possibly alot of years and years before they will be able to do that.. no body can replace a child place in the heart of a mother ... It's doesn't work anywhere... Just Because se-Young parents are adults doesn't mean they aren't broken or feel pain when they get hurt.. you can't blame them for or hurting, you can't blame them for being broken and feeling the pain of losing a child, no body can actually blame them for that. There was nothing se-Young would have done that could have changed anything or make them forget their daughter ..They wear their shoes and only them knows where it's hurt and how hurt it's is for them

Basically the old grandpa who teaches eun gyeol the guitar is se kyeung's dad and he was the front man of a very famous band called white swan. People say that if that band lasted for five years more, the way people viewed bands and the concept wud be very different but a scandal spread about him that he had a child out of wedlock with a rookie actress named shin a young ( the woman in this video ). SO because of that she had to quit as an actress. They had a daughter called Han na but she died so they adopted some other girl who looked like Han na who was Se kyeung. SO basically Se kyeung is adopted and because of Han na's ( their biological daughter ) death , shin a young and the famous front man who taught eun gyeol, their relationship was ruined. Se kyeung thought that if she was perfect she could at least be loved by her mother. She ends up forcing her will into her daughter in 2023, who is Eun Yu. Eun Yu rebels against her mom and fed up of her leaves the house. SE kyeung in 2023 , is mentioned to be an alcoholic and depressed person. WHen Eun Yu pretending to be Se kyeung ( 18 yr old Eun Yu looks like a clone of 18 yr old se kyeung ) comes to the past, she discovers her mother's hidden scars.

Im pretty sure in episode 15, i hope they can communicate their feelings properly and instead of covering their wounds, ( that Eun Yu has faced as mentioned in the drama long with se kyeung) can be given time to heal. PLus, the pretty cellist girl , Eun ho is talking about is most probably Eun Yu, and in we already know that Eun Yu and Eun gyeol are already in love with each other, so when they come back to the present, I wonder what would happen to Eun ho, plus I love the bond between the brothers, Eun gyeol and Eun ho....

I understand that she was grieving her daughter. However, that is not excuse for treating her adoptive mother as a replacement. Se Gyeong needed love from her mother. A child should not suffer like that just because her mom does. She never received the love she needed. That's why Se Gyeong felt it is okay to be "perfect daughter" just to have some love from her mother.

The girl on focus here is Se-gyeong, basically her arc is how she was adopted to be a doll to replace a-young, she did everything so that her 'mom' would look at her with love. It came to a point where she even took up cello, which was a-young's hobby.
