It is funny to me that you show more and explain more in a short video then they do in the whole damn grizzly video on how to chamber a rifle. Keep up the great work.
Love Howa actions . Most of mine are Howas as i find them the best value , well made and are like a rem 700 but with better features like the extractor claw . Howa you like these actions 😉 cheers from Jason
Great video. Curious, do you ever chamber a barrel with respect to brass to be used v go and no-go gauges? I saw a video where I builder tells his customers to buy about 500 pieces to be used in the rifle and send a few in, such as Lapua or Peterson brass, and he will use those so as to not chamber more than 1/2 thou, or 1 thousandths so when the virgin brass is used it doesn't have much room to expand
I don’t but I could. Brass is consistently inconsistent. I chamber to Minimum headspace using a go gauge. If a person got a nut style shouldered barrel they could do the same as a gunsmith with their own brass.
@@DustinDrews1 My first thought about using brass was the same, even with Lapua, still not uniform 100% even in the same LOT #. I guess that's why in the other video the builder wanted several pieces to get what would likely be the largest size so as to use it. I think it's a great concept for accuracy but would be less than pleased if I had a batch of 500 new brass and only half would chamber
@@Accuracy1st that is exactly right. There is a whole lot more that goes into making a small group besides .0005 of headspace. The if you use the rifle for hunting any spec of dust or carbon could ruin a hunt
Hi Dustin i got ,? For you I like to swap the barrel on my ruger american in 223 for the 22 creed can you made a berrel for it and do i need to get a different bolt face or can i run the same thank
You would need a ruger American predator model in 308 or 3006 , 243, 22-250,6.5 creed. Your 223 Is a micro action the next size up is short action aka 308 based cartridges.
This mans work is absolute top notch. His 22 Creedmoor barrel on my Savage action produces half inch groups @ 100 yards.
Thanks for the Love!
