After the selection what is he painting with? I was able to go back and figure everything out but I don’t know what color he’s painting with. Is that using the eye dropper for a skin selection?

Idk how you turned the layer mask black. Was it from inverting it? That made my image disappear. Mine is on a white background

T Sirias follow the steps prior ( duplicate your image- then set it to multiply blending mode - desaturate it and adjust the shadow & highlights as shown in video) once you’re done put a black mask on that layer and paint white on the layer to reveal the effect you’ve created.
