I would love a series on being new to the ICU! Your tips, tricks, etc! I am an experienced nurse moving to critical care for the first time. Thanks for making these videos!
Survey completed! Our ICU rooms are pretty much set up for new admissions when they are cleaned after a transfer or discharge. We have a checklist that our techs use to make sure the equipment is cleaned and there, cart is stocked with supplies (one in each room, which is so handy when stocked), clean cupboard with hygiene supplies and another cupboard with extra BP cuffs, pressure bag, bed pads and cloth wipes. Covid ICU is a bit different with supplies located on a cart that sits right outside the rooms that gets stocked once things run out to not contaminate too many things. The main equipment is still ready in the rooms though. Always nice to see what others think and do. Thanks!
I just want to say thanks for making the content that you make. I bought your ICU class too and it’s going well. I’m a nursing assistant and in nursing school as well. I want to be an ICU nurse and am just stoked on learning as much as I can. Grateful for you 🙏🤓❤️
I really want to try all the infusions / medical instruments in this video, the bed, the clothes, and the room, I really want to relax / sleep at night in a position like this video, or go inside
Submitted the survey ((: I just graduated and will be starting in a Med/Surg and ICU unit so thank you for this video! Very informative and extremely helpful.
i love this video bc it gives me a better idea of what nurses do. i definitely want a job in the medical field but im struggling to choose which one is best for me
I set up my room during my shift right now exactly the same way :) the essentials so it’s not cluttered but you’re not scrambling either. Just submitted the survey :)
This is so helpful since clinicals are cancelled and my school is pushing us to do critical care right into our second semester of nursing school. Most of us have not even been in the hospital as a student
I was an ICU tech a couple years ago and I loved it! I’m an RN now in telemetry and my dream is to work in the ICU next year. Thanks for posting this Ashley.
