This is something I feel like the newer girl groups these days are missing. I feel like most girl groups are too focused on being cute, while SNSD here is a perfect example of a mature woman's charm rather than a girls charm. Yeah there are girl groups that don't have cute as a concept, but they normally go for the "tough" female concept.

They are not sticking to only one concept and are showing all varies emotion to a girl. also, look at their older music videos and compare them with girl groups of today, then you will see that SNSD has for a long time had a mote mature aspect to a girl/woman.
