    my dad was drunk driving from Va. beach ran into an army truck hurrying back to base speeding my mom was 3-4 months pregnant with me she crashed through the windshield rolled down a hill and slammed into a telephone pole the last thing she said before she passed out was Psalm 23 when she awoke again in ambulance she felt me kick while the girl in the backseat of car died at the same moment, I was alive thanks be to God and my moms faith,mom lived and carried me to full term. Praise God for his mercy his word is truth.

      +richie1997b Needless to say, the odds of that actually occurring with the child surviving are virtually none. That is an incredible story.

      +andrew G thank you in God's mercy I see his hand of protection on her from the time momma was a lil girl in mtns Ky one of poorest families in America in Ky, he healed her when she was sick,he warned her in a dream of her first husband would try to kill her to get away. she heard missionaries when she was a young child and baptized her brothers and sisters in creek bar. she was like a mother to many of them watching over them taking care of them on many cold nights. God is truely a father to watch over orphans widow the poor are in his eye if you insult them you insult the God who made them. He's brought my mom through so many operations and has spoke to her dreams of things to come,and dark days to come. She had me 40 years ago. God has been flashing that number 74 over and over and over again to me this past year year I was born I'm not sure why. thank you again How wondrous and wonderful our Abba is. Richie's mom.

      I don't get your story? Except your drunk dad caused the death of a girl in a backseat of his car...your pregnant mom didn't pray...she just repeats a couple verses in the Bible..Psalms 23...and somehow you think because she just repeats Psalms 23...this is what kept her and you alive? but she never prayed? I don't get it? and what do you mean..? "she felt me kick while the girl in the backseat of the car died at the same moment"...what the hell does that mean? What a weird thing to say...what is it suppose to mean? Just sounds like a kind of pointless crazy story that has no meaning to it? Are you from the south? If se went through the front windshield and then "passed out"..how could she know when the girl in the backseat died?...you said she was thrown out of the car and then passed out...your story doesn't add up...there's no way she could of known exactly when the other girl died.

    I'm Christian, not Jewish, but I appreciated the part where he talks about thanking the people who have caused difficulty in our lives. I understand that. They may have created difficulty, but they made us stronger.

    I'm not the least religious, but I take the rabbi's more seriously than most religious leaders. This man is a great example of that.
    When I was in college I went to our local synagogue to interview the rabbi for our school paper. His answers surprised me. I asked about heaven & hell. His vision of the afterlife (or lack thereof) was not what I expected.
    He said "What if you should do the right thing, just because it's the right thing to do, rather than for some reward".
    That changed my life.

    from the Jewish perspective it's so nice to see & hear the word of God come alive , to show on the face of those who have given their lives to seek the true intimacy of relationship with God through His word. as a believer in Jesus it comforts my heart to know this depth of holy ,perfect love. How completely kind and good my Father God is to me. Thank God for this rabbi and His work to educate us on the root of covenant with Jehovah Rohi

    A Christian would be foolish not to drink from the fountain of wisdom of the Rabbis. You don't have to check off his complete list of beliefs as your own. But what a glorious exposition of the queen of Psalms (INMHumbleO)! Just drink it in! But the way, the dancers are doing a spectacular interpretation of the Psalm. Without being tight-assed about it ... 😇

    One of my favorite psalms and I pray it every night before I sleep . Yes my Lord is my shepherd 😘
    The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures;
    He leads me beside still waters;
    He restores my soul. He leads me in right paths For His Name's sake.
    Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil;
    For you are with me;
    Your rod and Your staff - they comfort me.
    You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, You anoint my head with oil;
    My cup overflows.
    Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life. And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord My whole life long. Amen and Hallelujah ❤️🙏🏻✝️ praise The Lord Jesus Christ

    It is fascinating to find how much praise is heaped upon God in the very first wording of Psalm 23 "The lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing" Yet the previous Psalm 22 delivers a very different line "My God, my god why have you deserted me?" A line which we note was used by Jesus on the cross.

    I'm a Christian but this is beautiful. I guess it's in the translation or the mistranslation.. beautiful. If we would just realize we're all brothers and sisters together.. Christians Jews Muslims, everyone. If we could just realize we're all saying the same thing

    • @leenieledejo6849
      @leenieledejo6849 Рік тому

      No, we're certainly not "saying the same thing".
      Jesus makes that abundantly clear on almost every page of the New Testament (and the epistle writers confirm what he says).
      Neither the Jews nor Muslims believe God has a son.
      And they don't believe God raised him from the dead, thus defeating death forever (Hebrews 2:14-15, 1 Corinthians 15 etc).
      Jesus says if you don't have him you have no life ("zoen" in Greek) in you: John 6:53-58, 1st John 5:11-12.
      He says you CANNOT know God except through him: Matthew 11:27, John 5:20, 23, 14:7, 17:3 etc.
      "Jesus said to him: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no-one can come to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6)
      He says the Holy Spirit will indwell believers in him (John 14:16-17).
      And many, many other things.
      He never once even hinted that he is "a" way and there are "others!"
      And although everyone is made in the image of God and is precious to Him, not everyone is a CHILD of God.
      Children of God are defined in passages like the following:
      "He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
      But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
      Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (John 1:11-13)
      "Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God" (1 John 3:1a)

    This resource is very valuable. Men who have studied Scripture and are able to articulate, in real terms, what to many have been veiled. Also loved the dance clips. Is there a whole clip of this particular dance somewhere? Thanks again for the post.

    To me it seems like king David was trying to describe something what it is hard to describe by human words. I believe there is a lot of parables. What goes through my head when I read the psalm יְנַהֲלֵנִי דֶשֶׁא בִּנְאוֹת - binot deshe yarbitceni, He filled my soul with a peace, he healed my wounds. He made a pasture from a desert. (Sorry I have problem to paste hebrew here)

    king james bible is great translation but they changed from original Hebrew text to more poetic. 'valley of shadow of death' is 'valley of deepest darkness ' in Hebrew original.

      Attempted translation to suit the times an error changes the context and meaning which has happened over the over again with different ancient languages.

      No, King James Bible was an english book written by the english church in the 1600s translated from latin by protestants who wanted separation from the latin roman church. It has many contradictions not only with its self but also with the hebrew script and even has missing chapters and verses when compared to the original hebrew text and even the original Greek Septuagint. It is one of the worst and maliciously altered bibles you can get.

    • @Kangozion
      @Kangozion 6 років тому +2

      It is malicious because it was deliberately changed. Also there is no Old Testament, The christian old testament especially from the kjv is an altered plagiarization of the Hebrew Tanakh and original Greek Septuagint from the library of Alexandria which was translated from Hebrew to Greek by 72 Jewish scribes. The Septuagint as we have it today which the kjv is based on, is not the original Septuagint from the library of Alexandria but a greek orthodox roman alteration. Only the first five books of moses was translated into greek by the 72 jewish scribes, it then was taken from the library of Alexandria and the other books such as the scriptures and books of the prophets were mistranlations and alterations that were added on to the Septuagint about a thousand years later by gentiles that are not the same as the original Hebrew versions written in ketav ashurit. The original Septuagint no longer exists and the texts after the five books were artificial creations by gentiles, and the five books themselves were changed. They underwent even more tampering when translated into the Latin Vulgate.
      The Torah we use today is exactly the same as the ancient scrolls used to translate the five books into the greek Septuagint, and is consistent with ancient torah scrolls all over the world, Hebrew is the original and holy tongue of torah, not greek,latin or english. The Ketef Hinnom, backs The Masoretic text, the completed scrolls among the Dead Sea Scrolls that are not obvious practice drafts, also back the Masoretic text and The Ketef Hinnom, yet they contradict and predate the greek orthodx Septuagint, and have chapters and verses missing when compared to the english king james bible. Not to mention the practice scrolls of The Qumrān texts and the Nash Papyrus that also back up the Masoretic text and pre-date both the original and altered Septuagint.
      If you want examples, conflicts between the tanakh and the kjv appear in the following verses,
      Isaiah 7:14
      Isaiah 40:3
      KJV Psalms. 22:16 = MT Psalms. 22:17 due to missing verse.
      MT Num 25:19 = KJV Num 26:1 due to extra additions and diversion from the Masoretic verse divisions.
      Daniel 9:25
      Zechariah 12:10
      Psalm 110:1
      Isaiah 53
      MT Psalm 22:17 = KJV Psalm 22:16
      and the list goes on.

      If you cannot tell the difference between the old testament, the tanakh and the torah, and think they are all the same thing, then i cant help you with telling the difference between the verses. As i mentioned," the old hebrew versions" back up the Masoretic text, not the kjv. If you have a king james version, then you can use this online hebrew to english tanakh to look up the verses and compare.

      צייד נאצים The King James is not perfect but it was translated from the original languages, that is Hebrew and Greek. It actually doesn't follow the vulgate very closely because of returning to the original languages.

    The context is even more interesting . David wrote the Psalm when he was a shephard in dangerous places . The Midrash explains that David's father wrongly thought he was an illegitimate child and wanted to "get rid of him" in a "permitted" way. Thus his father sent him to heard the sheap in dangerous places . This is what David told King Saul that even alone and in extreme danger he was able to turn the situation around and kill the dangerous lions and bears. This is also why when the prophet Samuel came to his father to tell him he wanted to annoint one of his sons as the next king David was not present. His father had hid him in a back room and did not consider him one of his sons.
    After all of this - being rejected by his father and being in extreme danger he did not complain that his cup was completely empty , he did not say his cup was half empty , he did not even say his cup was half full , he was not even happy that he had a full cup. David saw his cup - his lot - as one where his cup is overflowing.
    In the end his prayer that he would live in the house of God forever was granted . Someone who everyone would have thought to be completely lost became a great king with many famous descendants came from him . King Solomon, Rabbi Yedudah HaNasi who wrote the Mishnah , the kings of the northern Israel as well as those of the south. The kings and queens of England , of Scotland , of other European countries and even Haili Selasi from Ethiopia.Many even have the harp of David in their coats of arms.
    The name David in his memory is one of the most common names for Jews and Christians. It is even used by some Arabs.
    The Psalms of David are used by the Jews and Christians as an important part of their prayers . The Psalm 23 is also one of the most important for this reason .In the end David really lives in the House of God forever.
    Finally , the Moshiach who will save the whole world and bring an eternal Peace where everyone will really be happy will be one of his descendants.

    Isaiah 9:6-7
    6 For to us a child is born , to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, MIGHTY GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the greatness of his government and peace
 there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
 and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
 with justice and righteousness
 from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
 will accomplish this.

    Isn't that what the cup runneth over means, that you will never be thirsty because it is always full to the brim?
