Moreover, I'm still using the Redmi Note 7 Pro and to be honest, it's suitable for all of my needs. However, it's time for an upgrade. So, I'll go for the basic version of the Redmi K30 Ultra in white color. I don't need any big numbers and I don't think there's much of a difference in everyday usage between 6 and 8 GB of RAM...

Big noticable if you run a background apps (ex. custom launcher) + heavy multitasking. If you multitasker and future proofing (didn't replace a phone for a year) 8gb ram is sweet spot. But if you are not, 6gb definitely okey In short. The bigger the ram, more background apps that you can run on one time
For MIUI12,8GB is OK,12GB is perfect,16GB is a little overkill for most APPs. I prefer the 12GB version,although in China,the silver version is only for 16GB

No,for OPPO,Vivo and Xiaomi,they wont use 865+ at all.The sn865+ is a Qualcomm US's own project(not global project),but usually Chinese buy the chip from Qualcomm China.The Qualcomm China have their own.project overcooked 865's GPU to 705 Mhz or even 900+Mhz

I know 120Hz IS better but is a battery KILLER process. I'd rather get the Mi 10 Pro cuz you lose the 108mp camera in the Ultra and the 120w fast charging is only like 20 mins faster so not that major.

1- the 65w charger can charge anything according to it's charging speed. The 120w is exclusive to the phone 2- gcam is now perfect with my mi10 pro 3- the ultra doesn't have the dedicated second speaker 4- the looks of the back is more appealing to me on mi10 pro 5- and most important note. I broke my bank account already getting the pro 512gb ... Lol

If this is the case, I know I can still get the Chinese via Kimovil, but with my previous experience with mi 8, I wouldn't be able to use Gpay. Do you know any way round this? If not, I'll have to give up on this monster of a phone.

They should gone with a 2k display the 1k display is what let's the mi 10/pro down. And the mi 10/pro do not use the same sensor as the Samsung, they use the Samsung hmx sensor, it's related but different - the Samsung uses 9x pixel binning whereas the xiaomis (and the Motorola) use quad binning.
