- Hey Yal! In today's video, we will be moving from Florida to Texas. Our road trip was about 17 hours total and we stopped to sleep 1 night. We have 3 kids 5 and under. Our move was a little hectic as we tried to save money and only get 1 pod, and drove 2 separate cars. Nonetheless, we made it to Texas and cant wait to see what is in store for our family!

We have 3 kids 6 and under and the furthest we’ve traveled with them is 6 hours away and they did well but 16 hours is a big difference. Watching this makes me feel a lot better about our move to Texas in a few months. Excited to follow your journey

Hey mama, I came across your channel. My family and I maybe moving from FL to Texas as well. Any recommendations? I have a toddler and an infant. Not sure if a road trip or taking a flight would be easier... although we definitely would to save on money
Heyy hun, Congrats on the move!! I feel like flying and shipping our cars and stuff would have been easier but we were on a tight budget. We shipped our stuff through pods.
The drive wasn’t bad and my kids did really well. At the time of the move my youngest was 2 and my oldest was 5. We drove separate cars so I had the baby ride with his dad because he acts better with him lol
I did a lot of road trips when my kids were infants and they did cry a lot. It also depends if you would be driving alone with your kids. If you can sit in the back with your littles that will usually make the ride smoother. I hope this helps you

@@daeshablife will do thank u! I guess it depends if we can get family to help. I have a 2 yr old and a 4 month old and a pup 🤦🏽♀️...if hubby drove moving truck I would have to drive alone in family car with kids and pup. We would be moving from Palm Beach to Dallas too.
How much did the uhaul total for the drive?
I can’t remember the exact price. We only had the trailer and had to keep it a few extra days because our house wasn’t ready. I believe it was less than $600.

We are from Orlando and we didn’t know anyone here. I’ve met a few people now through work and stuff
May I ask what made you guys move from Florida ?
I was born and raised in Orlando so I was ready for a change. We also have felt there were limited job opportunities and pay didn’t match up with home prices. We wanted a change for the better.

We spent around $150 total. We had to pay extra at drop off because we had it over a week and only 4 days is included in the rental.

@@sashaslifestyle yea I thought we spent more but I just checked my bank statement and that how much we paid. Maybe the size is larger or it depends on location.
@@sashaslifestyle I just looked online and the 6x12 trailer did say $498.00 idk why ours was so cheap.
