I absolutely hate it honestly. It just seems so incredibly lazy to go "what should Spidey's level 3 be? I know! We'll have one of his villains attack for him." I get that its making use of the spider-sense but you couldnt come up with anything else than 'the green goblin happens to be attacking him right at this perfect moment that he's most able to dodge it'? Especially for someone whose powers are as versatile as Spidey's?

I'll never forgive capcom for nerfing the hell out of his ultimate web throw by having it only function with the opponent being in mid air.

I love how MvS narrator shout the finishing move name. Too bad it was replaced with "Hyper Combo Finish" in later games.

The 90S was the golden age of Fighting games thanks to SNK, ADK and Capcom. A lot of great memories playing them in the arcade and reading about them in gaming magazines like EGM, Gamefan, CVG and Mean Machines when I was teen.

I never thought you could give cool moves to Spiderman in a fighting game, mostly his number of abilities and powers were simple and few, but CAPCOM did vary a lot with respect to his specials, my favorite character always in all Marvel vs Capcom. 🕷🕷🕷🕷🕸🕸🕸🕸💗💗👌👌.

When I was a kid, my family visited my cousin in college. In their student center, they had a Marvel vs Capcom arcade cabinet and my cousin saved up a lot of quarters for me and him to play. I choose Spider-Man cause well I was 5 and the animated series came out. So much fun.

Can't believe they didn't change his supers throughout all those games. It was refreshing to see the green goblin one just because it's a nice change of pace.
Capcom got so good at rehashing their game assets that Spiderman's (and other characters') sprites were reused beyond the Dreamcast's dying days.

I actually kinda like the MSH version of Maximum Spider. No Flash, no background changing; just Spidey kinda-jankily wall bouncing and its juggling the enemy. Theres something really charming about it. That being said, the MvC3 version adding webs is a really nice touch too.
Absolutely LOATHE his level 3 in MvCi though. "The green goblin throws bombs at him and he dodges it" is just so lazy for a character who has such creative and versatile super powers.
That was supposed to be a reference to the fact that green goblin was going to be on the roster but of course, that never happened
I personally like the inculsion of his spidey sense and his arch nemesis' pumpkin bombs.
Lol that’s NOT at all “lazy” at all as that’s a fine and creative way to add in explosive to his move-set. And his super powers are just enhanced super human abilities like speed, strength, durability, agility, reflexes, acrobatics; his spidey-sense that warns him of danger, and his webshooters that shoot webs. And Spider-Man can be VERY creative with all those powers and abilities here, don’t get me wrong but what you’re saying here is absurd as his powers aren’t THAT varied, versatile yeah but Spider-Man’s powers has limits as he’s still mainly an above street level superhero that has his limits.

Although I love mvc3 comic art style. The look on infinite is soo good. Never played infinite cuz pple said it sux. But I played the ish out of mvc3 and umvc3 only thing it's pretty easy except the boss.

There has a diference in te crawler assault between marvel super heroes and the others games in the last kick put it on 0.25 speed, spider-man do like a flip and in te other games doesnt
Infinite just removed all the style that umvcc 3 had. Kind of a shame honestly...I don't need the neaon and shit but like, umvcc3 had so much style to it's visuals in terms of effects for attacks etc.

I really hope the success of street fighter 6 (and most of the failures of every other marvel game disney has made) makes disney want to make a proper marvel vs capcom with a full bidget roster with at least 20~25 characters from each company and maybe 1 star wars character cause disney owns both star wars and marvel but thats probably pushing it lol, but it looks like from a bunch of (probably fake) leaks disney is gonna make a platform fighter, and probably fail like everyone else just either copying smash's worse qualitys or changing things in dumb ways, like multiversus movement is just not fun, platoforming has to be fun in a platform fighter, and they need to take notes from rivals of aether and brawlhalla, these games are outliving other platform fighters for a reason
