Tools are a necessity on the truck. As for the broker, I sent a reply all email to his team. His boss called me back a few minutes later. We had a 15 minute long conversation, let’s just say that guy won’t be dealing with the carriers anymore. Apparently, this is an ongoing issue with him.
Hey Marv, you know your family is watching & we care about you. Big shout out for remembering my comment and putting those sunglasses on when using the grinder. Now get yourself a pair of safety glasses & put in your toolkit. We call them traffic circles here in South Jersey. Keep the tires warm, be safe. Peace, Out
There you are! See, Marv does take constructive criticism very well! I do have safety glasses in my toolbox, btw. The problem is, they get dirty and scrached up in the toolbox. I gotta get a new pair and relocate it. 🫡🫡
Try cleaning with water & soft cloth that's clean so dirt doesn't scratch. Find a spot inside your cab, glove box ECT, so they don't get roughed up till you use them. Keep smiling , best always to family.

Great repair on that pete!! I have to get my grinder on my truck too😂. I had excessive play in steering and i needed new leaf springs bushings. So replaced and now gtg. Stay safe
Smooth operator doing smooth operator things! Or should i say: owner operator doing owner operator things! ^^ Well done! I had a course today regarding how to handle a grinder. I noticed the freeplay in your steering in the last couple videos… but didn’t know wether to ask for it or mention it… nice that you got it fixed! Stay safe out there!
Great video as always Marv, I think if that gets past a certain point and you go through a DOT inspection if it’s more than like 10% of free play in the steering wheel, I think they can put you out of service. I don’t know. It’s been so long since I’ve actually read the book it might’ve changed. Have a good week everyone.

No problem. I used to come to Tampa quite often. My cousin lives in Tarpon Springs. He's retired now, but when he had his rig, we used to travel all over the country together. The old mechanic shop I used to go to is also in Tampa.
Hey Marv I have a question. I come from a family of truck drivers and I wanted to know since I recently had gotten my CDL. Is it hard to get with a broker if you don’t have any experience? I want to buy my truck and possibly trailer down the line and I do not want to work for anybody because Id rather have my freedom and not be committed to a company because I want to be local and as you know not having enough experience they dont want to hire you unfortunately, but want you to go OTR in which I cant because of family situation and never cared for it due to experiencing it at a young age with my father gone all the time. Just wanted to get some feedback from you. Love your videos! Keep them coming.
