I genuinely really hope you review 2093, definitely one of the most ambitious albums ive seen in a while and clears vultures by a mile even by your own admission lol.
Im not a ye stan, but i have to be honest the producton on back to me is amazing, for me its one of hes best produced songs. Burn and do it are really good like you said. Thats it pritty much it.
I really like the album but I feel like “Beg Forgiveness” had the potential to be amazing, like the lyrics on the hook “you’ve gone too far and you should hang your head in shame” are perfect for Kanyes situation (like the things he said on those podcasts) but he doesn’t talk about that in his verse. I think overall the lyrical content is a bit shallow, which is fine for songs like “PAID” which sounds like it’s made for nightclubs (in a good way, it’s one of the first songs I’ve heard in a while that makes me think of a club the same way a lot of early 2010s music did) but songs like Keys to my life and Problematic would’ve benefited from some stronger verses
It's really unfrotunate, too. This album is very much interested in the AESTHETIC of itself. The AESTHETIC of the shame and atonement in Beg Forgiveness, the AESTHETIC of the club banger atmosphere in Carnival and Paperwork, very much creating this disjointed and wild sound... with absolutely no substance being communicated past this aesthetic sound. There's something in there in every song on here, but it just gets lost in its own shallowness and self-obession with the "vibe" of Kanye without really earning that identity.
@@Noctem_pasaEven the album cover doesn’t get the “aesthetic” across right. It’s just Kanye trying to be edgy with a milquetoast psycho mask, and Bianca naked. It feels like it’s lacking nuance for a guy on his 14th album, and, most importantly, has nothing to do with vultures. The Nazi/Burzum inspired cover at least felt more relevant to the title, even with the controversy.
It was a fun album I don’t expect him to ever hit the highs of TCD, MBDTF or TLOP. His ear for beats hasn’t completely fallen off. I loved most of them on this album.
Great intro, and I think you gave a very down the middle review of the album. That last bit about Kanye being the worst part of his own album seems to be a trend with him in recent years.
I honestly find the album enjoyable as a whole. Though Kanye usually reinvents himself or his sound on every album so I usually can't define a "Kanye album" exactly as a whole. So I don't really mind him going through many sounds on this album.
You voiced my entire opinions for this album word for word. Especially about Burn. Burn literally proves that he can still create good polished album cuts but decides not to, and I think it's because of the people he's been hanging around in the industry lately that has caused his standards to drop. Another thing I'd point out is this album has awakened the worst of Kanye Stans (Mostly edgy teenagers) who can't fathom him dropping a mediocre project to the point that they are harassing people.
CARNIVAL SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE BURN AND ITS GOOD , I LIKE HEARING GROWTH AND THATS THE REASON PPL LOVE YE , GO LISTEN TO CD/LR THESE LAZY MUSIC TAKES ANNOYING , THE REASON YE IS HELD AS GREAT ARTIST IS BECAUSE OF HIS UPDATED SOUNDS AND PRODUCTION , IF VULTURES SOUNDED ALL LIKE BURN I PROBABLY WOULDNT LIKE IT , RECORDS LIKE CARNIVAL/FSUMN/PAID/PAPERWORK ALL SOUND AMAZING AND UPDATED..
As a Kanye Stan, I actually understand why people don’t like this album, because I also think it’s not even close to his best, I think it’s his third worst actually, some of the most burning soulless and lackluster Kanye verses, but then there are songs like Burn, Carnival and Fuk Sumn that hype me up with Kanye actually going crazy on them, point is, even Kanye meat riders understand the hate for this album
You might understand the hate but there is a surprising majority of them who will just assume if you don’t absolutely love the album, you must be a Jew
@@Glitchong not calling you a Jew🤣 I was saying that there are a lot of people who make the assumption that anyone who doesn’t like the album is automatically a Jew, sorry for the confusion ahaha
Personally, I think the album is insane and the weird vocal inflections add to it. I mean, would I want to listen to Burn 14 more times ? Maybe, but the production is insane and hectic it makes sense that the vocals match it. I rank it over Donda (even tho it had higher highs). It's polarizing and grows on you the more you listen...
@theconsciousobserver6829 a month later, and the album has grown on me even more. The order of tracks and length is its biggest upside to Donda. But tbh, 16 tracks and no skips and the way they mesh together is insane. I still listen to the album, starting to finish 4-5 times a week
I'm not a native English speaker, so I have to listen to songs more than once to really get them, so the first listen is mostly based on vibes while also trying to pay some attention to lyrics. That being said, the more I listened to it the more I realised this album's lyrics STINK. Not one cohesive theme throughout it. I don't know if he used ghostwriters before and got rid of them, but somehow Ye manages to be the weak link in his own album, he's always outshined by Ty, who I think managed fairly well, and all the other features. Recent Kanye can't survive without features or being carried by production, and he can't perform to save his life. He's having a 1v1 against himself and losing. Having been gone for so long, having said what he's said, this album was supposed to be his chance at saving what's left of his credibility. Yet none of the songs are personal, none of them touch on sensitive subjects, if anything they feed his ego even more. His arrogance shows that those apologies meant jackshit(Who would've thought huh), his uncalled for Taylor Swift comment shows that he is just obsessed with her and is riding the train of something that happened 15 years ago. In fact, I believe he's just obsessed with power over women in general, looking at the way he parades his wife on Instagram and the lyrics about her. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes with Bianca, but it's a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. He pushed away all the people in his life, his family, his friends, because anyone not blindly agreeing with anything he says is against him and is constructing a devious plan to get rid of him. What does that leave him with? Yes men. And that's where Ty comes in. Honestly I'd never expect a collab album from these two, they never gave the impression that they're this close. But Ye needs a way to soft launch his return, and Ty needs to become mainstream. People don't want to accept that he's washed and ruined everything he built. You can't separate the art from the artist when the artist being a piece of shit translates directly in his art, because that's what Vultures is. But his fans will eat it up. I enjoyed some of the songs on this, but after revisiting older albums, I'm realising that they're mediocre at best compared to anything from his older stuff. Right after I finished the album, I put on Ultralight Beam. And the difference in quality and passion was just so apparent. Any song on Vultures would fight for its fucking life against literally the worst song from each of his albums. Sorry if my thoughts are all over the place but it's what I have to say from the top of my head about this. PS: For someone whose last name is Censori, Bianca sure doesn't know the meaning of censoring.
This is the review we needed from Fantano. Actual criticisms from the album instead of a personal vendetta against ye himself and his Stans. Thanks for giving it a go
Theres not a lot of jew hating on this album ,although there is a lot outside of it in ye's social media. But like he has that line on the title track anf thats all i picked up,though i might have missed something.
It's honestly kinda funny to me that you don't like the first half of Talking, because I've found myself lately just randomly singing "IS YOUR BESTIE MISS MISS WESTY." It's pretty catchy ngl
Ah come on I already dinner! But nah Vultures sucked bro. Bad production, horrible mixing, Ty(while not doing a bad job) doesn’t really have strong chemistry with Ye, Ye had horrible performances as well as really bad lyrics. Also no fun hidden features? They were all kinda boring(besides Spreadie Gibbs) I liked Burn and Back To Me, but even then Burn is too damn short and Back To Me is funny but losing its luster, as well as this album feels like he was trying hella hard to be Kanye instead of just being Kanye/making good music. For me, it’s easily his worst. Haven’t heard Donda 2, and Jesus is King i relistened to yesterday, and it wasn’t as boring as I remember. Like if I were to make a top 5 worst Ye songs, almost every song on that list would be from Vultures. (As an aside, Ye fans have become EXTREMELY insufferable. Like, holy Jesus I literally had to unsubscribe from R/Kanye because there glazing the album or attacking Fantano for having an opinion while also saying that no one cares about his opinion cause he’s baised).
The craziest part is that i been seeing people say it's better than Donda, hell no, i liked this album, but Donda has a lot of better songs, it has flaws but even those are not that bad like the bad parts of Vultures
Yeah I really don’t understand the hype for this album, my thoughts are the same as CDTV, it’s just a giant mixed bag. And for the most part, Ty Dolla $ign is main highlight for the most of the tracks. I genuinely don’t understand the hype for this album. I’m also expecting this comment to get a lot of hate from Kanye stans who just can’t fathom that someone doesn’t like this album, and I know I’m gonna get some comment saying something along the lines of “you just don’t like it because of the antisemitic controversy.” Cause I know that Kanye stans will use that card at any point to invalidate not liking the album. When really, in my opinion, the album just doesn’t sound good from a musical standpoint.
Kanye could've dropped a compilation of him farting into the mic at different distances and angles and his fans would still act like it's AOTY just because it has Kanye's name on it. There is no convincing them.
A ty dolla sign album with like 10 tracks om kanye production would have been Way better since, kanye dont want to Sound good or say anything of substance anymore. The album is musically really great (needs better mixing though), but kanyes verses are just so bad and the jeg hate makes it unlistenable
Icl man I've been too pulled into Kanye that I can't really rank this album without being bias. It's stuck with me more than a lot of others have been stuck to it but I wouldn't call it one of Ye's better albums. I suppose defending one point: the ABBTBNWJDFOTSYK stuff whilst dragged on is catchy, so I don't have significant complaints by it. But from Yeezy himself, "I've been uninspired since Lauryn Hill retired" fits well into this piece of music. This project has potential tho, so whilst it's pulled from albums perhaps Ye could somehow retool pieces of music but atp I'm coping with this project.
While Carnival is my favorite song on the album by far, I do agree that the praise for RTKs performance doesn’t make sense. Like you said, hes doing the same shit hes been doing his whole career
Man I honestly just don’t get it. It’s so messy and unfinished but everyone is telling me it’s his best since TLOP. I didn’t even get carnival and I LOVE CARTI. I hate the lyrics of the hook lol

40 producers and 51 writers on this album
Yeah and? I said specifically on back to me
@@burgermind802 thanks for those numbers, we dont care tho
Glad I'm not the only one that was less than enthused with this album. I couldn't even finish it 😂
I really like the album but I feel like “Beg Forgiveness” had the potential to be amazing, like the lyrics on the hook “you’ve gone too far and you should hang your head in shame” are perfect for Kanyes situation (like the things he said on those podcasts) but he doesn’t talk about that in his verse.
Burn is the only song from this album that will be on my rotation.
Don‘t understand why Kanye stans should be mad about this review. 4.7 out of 10 is pretty generous for this album.
CDTV should get a nobel peace prize for being so kind and generous in comparison to other critics who I am more on the side of.
In a perfect world we would’ve gotten Vultures 0, but we are cursed with these three instead.
Great intro, and I think you gave a very down the middle review of the album. That last bit about Kanye being the worst part of his own album seems to be a trend with him in recent years.
Bruv I was so close to clicking off at the start WAS NOT HAVIN ANY OF IT 😂
Ok that intro caught me off guard not gonna lie
I honestly find the album enjoyable as a whole. Though Kanye usually reinvents himself or his sound on every album so I usually can't define a "Kanye album" exactly as a whole. So I don't really mind him going through many sounds on this album.
I generally enjoyed it. It's not terrible and a lot of the songs are decent, but it's not touching his earlier stuff (MBDTF and earlier).
Exactly
@@zacmcloughlin3470are you calling me a Jew? Genuine question, I can’t tell if I’m reading this comment wrong☠️😅
@@Glitchong not calling you a Jew🤣 I was saying that there are a lot of people who make the assumption that anyone who doesn’t like the album is automatically a Jew, sorry for the confusion ahaha
@@zacmcloughlin3470 nah it’s cool, I just read it and was like “is he insulting me by calling me a Jew or is an observation?” It’s cool😂
Dawg you had me in the first 15 secs 😂😂😂
Babe wake up! Papi cdtv posted!
I've always said vultures has so much potential to be better then Donda if Kanye wasn't on the BLOODY ALBUM
Suprised you didnt mention STARS in this video. I love the instrumental and the way ty voice sounds on it. BURN and STARS were the only ones i liked.
You rank it over Donda, just like you believe 3 comes after 9. Why do you like insanity? What's appealing about it?
@theconsciousobserver6829 a month later, and the album has grown on me even more. The order of tracks and length is its biggest upside to Donda. But tbh, 16 tracks and no skips and the way they mesh together is insane. I still listen to the album, starting to finish 4-5 times a week
Beg forgiveness is my fav song of the album but I like the way it drags out
I'm not a native English speaker, so I have to listen to songs more than once to really get them, so the first listen is mostly based on vibes while also trying to pay some attention to lyrics.
PS: For someone whose last name is Censori, Bianca sure doesn't know the meaning of censoring.
holy yapville
@@michaelsevilla7579 Omg you're so funny and original I bet everyone likes you and doesn't think you're insufferable
@@teriyakichicken9969Irony
I personally loved every song on the album but I can also see how someone would dislike the things you pointed out
same
This is the review we needed from Fantano. Actual criticisms from the album instead of a personal vendetta against ye himself and his Stans. Thanks for giving it a go
Exactly. Facts. That 7 minute video of dog shit wasnt a good idea. Like actually say something constructive or critical of the album
The fact I even did a instrumental REMIX on GOOD {DONT DIE} bcoz it lacked certain musical elements
Thank you for acting as a voice of reason in comparison to all of Kanye's blind cult followers - I mean fans...
Say what you want about Back to Me, he's right. BBTBNWJDFOTSYK.
You can always learn the best from Mr. West
I regret typing that but I'm still gonna post it
Review Yeat bros improved so much and I think you’d fw it
Hey @CDTVProductions, what's your opinion on Stars, the opening track? it's my favourite personally...
cdtv kanye hate is much more needed
Well… Vultures 2 made this look like a masterpiece.
WHERES TOMMYS COMMENT
Nah bro, paperwork doesn't sound like 808s
It's brazilian funk music, a genre created and cultivated by our favela culture
Stars tho??? STARS IS PERFECT other than that tho completely respect your review cdtv tha g you are a real one
The beat is the only good if you think about it. I could imagine many artist doing better on the beat like Cole, jid or even idk
Kind of hoping this album gets the TLOP treatment where it gets improved over time. The original TLOP is way weaker
Would be cool if kanye took all the jew hating lyrics out so the album could be actually listenable
Theres not a lot of jew hating on this album ,although there is a lot outside of it in ye's social media. But like he has that line on the title track anf thats all i picked up,though i might have missed something.
This Album Is Gass
Without The G
Please tell me you’re going to make a video on Quadeca’s new album.
thank you CDTV for briefly mentioning the current Rich the Kid praise, I just don't get it
It's honestly kinda funny to me that you don't like the first half of Talking, because I've found myself lately just randomly singing "IS YOUR BESTIE MISS MISS WESTY." It's pretty catchy ngl
Remember guys these are 1 out of three albums
Ah come on I already dinner! But nah Vultures sucked bro. Bad production, horrible mixing, Ty(while not doing a bad job) doesn’t really have strong chemistry with Ye, Ye had horrible performances as well as really bad lyrics. Also no fun hidden features? They were all kinda boring(besides Spreadie Gibbs)
I liked Burn and Back To Me, but even then Burn is too damn short and Back To Me is funny but losing its luster, as well as this album feels like he was trying hella hard to be Kanye instead of just being Kanye/making good music.
If you haven't heard Donda 2 then you haven't heard his worst songs.
The craziest part is that i been seeing people say it's better than Donda, hell no, i liked this album, but Donda has a lot of better songs, it has flaws but even those are not that bad like the bad parts of Vultures
4.7 is a fair score. I think this album is in the range of like a 5-7. Definitely not Kanye’s best work but at least it’s better than JIK.
Where can i watch the livestream for reaction?
I would agree that this is not Kanyes strongest album. That is not to say I still like some songs, but whose to say it could be better.
I agree
Too me
Burn and Carnival gotta be my favorites. THIS THAT GAME OF THRONES
CDTV what didn’t you like about the song PROBLEMATIC? One of my favourites off the album and you didn’t mention anything about it
The unreleased Fuk Sum version are 1000% better than the released one
Hey look, it’s a review actually talking about the music. Rare these days. Respect.
This album made me realize we need more Ty on Kanye’s production
A ty dolla sign album with like 10 tracks om kanye production would have been Way better since, kanye dont want to Sound good or say anything of substance anymore. The album is musically really great (needs better mixing though), but kanyes verses are just so bad and the jeg hate makes it unlistenable
I love back to me, good don't die, stars, the end of talking, king. In that order
How Fantano should have reviewed the album. Like even if you don't like it I respect the honest opinions.
The album can bump in the whip. Definitely turn the volume down on certain parts though lmao
great review
I liked it but I can see why you didnt, I hope the upcoming releases will improve
Please talk about the yeat album
The Freddie Gibbs intro made me chuckle
Idea: top 10/20 Griselda albums?
even tho jesus is king is kinda bad, at least kanye sounded passionate on it
Man I honestly just don’t get it. It’s so messy and unfinished but everyone is telling me it’s his best since TLOP. I didn’t even get carnival and I LOVE CARTI. I hate the lyrics of the hook lol
