Thank you so much for the end part bringing to awareness of "mania" and mental illness. It helps us all. For me it helps bring more understanding and be more thoughtful.
I just found your flosstube today, and I love your personality, positive way of approaching your stitching and your goals. I appreciate your discussion about the terminology that our society uses when they mean other things. ❤️
So many good things in this video. Your Templar FFO is stunning. Wow! I hope you both love it for years to come. Your jars are pieces I've been thinking about for a bit, thanks to seeing yours. Sharing your experience and feelings with us is truly appreciated. It's not an easy thing to do but it is needed and appreciated. Thank you for caring enough.
Ooooo start the jars, Patti! I can't wait to have them on my Christmas tree. Thank you for your kind words. I was nervous to share, so it means a lot to me to have your support. 💚
Hey Ally! 👋🏻. The jars are beautiful. AND TEMPLAR PROPHECY FRAMED IS AMAZING!!! I like French knots too. The trick is to use an embroidery needle when completing them. I hope you keep enjoying your new job!! And that you keep finding mental peace when cross stitching.
Oooo I didn't know the embroidery needle tip! That makes so much sense. My French knots are going to be so perfect! I'm glad you like my Long Dog 😊 Thank you for your kind words. Happy stitching! Can't wait to see your next update. 😍
I appreciated your sharing your personal story and your comments. I majored in social work and social welfare, but never practiced in the helping professions; however, I can never forget the any years I studied mental health issues. Your points were clear and from the heart, sincere and appreciated by me. Please continue to make your videos, and I for one hope this continues to be a safe place to educate and share.
Jasmine, I really appreciate you taking the time to validate my soap box moment. Thank you for saying my points were clear. I came close to omitting my experiences because I was afraid of being misunderstood.
Yay!! I wanted to comment on all your WIPs but that would be a really long comment because I LOVE them all! And your new starts! 😍 Thank you so much for that sweet and thoughtful shout out! 💕 🤗 Also thank you for being brave and sharing part of your experience ❤️ I've heard people use Mayfly May (apparently they flit about from thing to thing) But I like May I keep starting things, or May I start all the things!
Mayfly May is cute 😍 I just looked them up to make sure they aren't the same as horseflies, which are abominations. I've been meaning to shout you out for a whileeeee 😊
The TB story was hilarious 😂 thanks for sharing and thanks for being honest about how you feel. It promotes awareness. I had not ever thought of it before, so I’m glad you brought this up. It’s important. Ok, how about something like: Unbelievable amount of New Cross Stitchalots. 😃 just a shot… Your wips are fantastic but as always the Squiddy Contessa is my favorite. I have her in the mini version from HAED but have not started her yet so I love seeing her come together. Have a good rest of the month and see you in May! ♥️♥️
Start Contessa, Jill! I've seen the mini and kind of wish I had gone with that size. The details still shine through. I love your alternative May stitch along name! I'm a fan ridiculously long names like that 😆
It takes the same amount of counting and placing and brain power to do an X or a / or - or ●! They all count equally 😊 Thank you for being so open with us. I recently learned that often times your "mess" can turn into your message.. and I think you've accomplished that here. Continue with the patient stories 😆 I work in healthcare as well and I have countless but I've never heard that one before!
@@michellemichelitsch2475 Thank you, Michelle. I like that- mess to message. I was nervous to share and didn't want to come off preachy. Mostly tried to raise awareness. I appreciate you taking the time to write me a nice comment. 💚
Thank you for being open and sharing your experience- I know it isn’t easy ❤️ Also- I loved Fresh! I haven’t heard anyone else talking about it and was really excited when you mentioned it
thank you for sharing your projects. templar prophecy is amazing. also, thank you for sharing your thoughts on language and mental health. i totally agree and try not to use those phrases anymore. i also react to march madness. i worked in the mental health system and also feel that there are many words in the wonderful english language that we can use. i like your idea...MAYbe i will start one every day.
You have made some great progress on Contessa with squid 🐙 and your Husband hit it out of the park with your birthday gift! It's such a captivating/ enchanting picture. And your dyed cloth is perfect! It was meant to be. He deserves to bask in the glow of that success for quite awhile :D. Also, it was lovely to meet Rufus, those eyes and that nose tap looked like he was saying 'are you done yet?' Very sweet indeed. You raise some interesting points. Thank you for sharing your perspective ❤
@@showntellstitcherI must tell you that - unknowingly - you have been coaching me for the last fortnight! I have been finishing up a long-term stitchy project. I am prone to fussing over things until they are JUST right. This is a gift so I am even more obsessive! There is nothing wrong with trying our best and striving for better, but often I find I can get stuck here for too long. It holds me back from finishing something off and moving on to the next project. At 27:00 in this video you talk about stitch coverage and say that if you wanted it perfect you would have bought a poster! Well, your words have been in the back of my mind all week and helped me move forward from some petty little blips that would have held me up in the past. I've now finished the project (its off to the framers tomorrow! Yay!) and I'm excited to move on to something new and to continue practicing and learning as I go. As you say, it's not a poster and it is unrealistic for me to expect it to be! Thanks for dropping this little gem of a comment - it's really helped me to keep moving forward with my stitching ❤
@@ericawright1924 congrats on your finish! That means a lot to me that I could help you push through and not sweat the small stuff. I used to get soooooo hung up on finicky, unimportant details too.
Hi. Just found your channel and what a great one to start with! Thank you for your thoughtful words. I am not very punny, but I thought of " Many May". For our geeks, May the WIPs be With You. I do monogamous May, so maybe the "oppostie" with Flirtatious May. I am sure other more creatives will come up with something. 😀
@@showntellstitcher I love it! It does go with Mother's Day, though that can have its own impact too. I am digging Mayhem - but I am also a bit Halloween 365...
Ok I stand corrected. I reread the lore that came with the pattern. They are embodiments of the souls of 3 witches burned during the Salem Witch Trials. I jumped the gun in saying they weren't witches 😆
@@showntellstitcher well I now nothing about the salem witch trials or any thing that may seem as scary. I can't handle it nothing scary for me lol I was just thinking if it wasn't a witch it must be something else close to a witch.
I just started watching but I have to comment on how pretty you are! Please don’t think I’m weird for saying that. I am safe. I am an old lady probably older than your mother!! But, I just think you’re gorgeous and you look 15! Please be glad, because that means when you’re my age (in my 60’s) you’ll probably look 35! 😃
Marvelous mayhem perhaps? I have also recently have been experiencing the uncomfortability with vunerability- though definitely not the same. More of a "I have CPTSD" type of thing. But you are one bad ass human for sharing! It's nice to not be alone in being a little - let's say - different. I'll tell ya- the horrified looks I get when I tell people about my nightmares and stuff? I absolutely hate it. One person even "tested" me by trying to startle me??? Weird. But All of this to say- I see you Also You are DEFINITELY allowed to have stronger opinions on this. You don't have to be the vegetarian stuck eating salad at a steakhouse. You can be the vegetarian that says "hey man, I get that I'm the only vegetarian in the group, but it's pretty inconsiderate to go somewhere only you can enjoy, when there are options that we all can enjoy" Also also I love your videos, your projects are amazing, and thank you for keeping me company while I stitched this morning ☺️
Marvelous mayhem is an awesome alternative! Stitching Moon also suggested Stitch Mayhem. I the mayhem suggestion because it sounds like we're getting into mischief. 😈 Thank you for being so open with your comment. No matter the diagnosis, mental health needs are stigmatized. You're so right. I don't have to tiptoe around other people's ignorance to avoid making them uncomfortable...especially if they're making ME uncomfortable! On another note, my husband is a huge Packers fan, so I consider myself a cheesehead-in-law lol.
