I am enjoying this immensely. Your reading is so well paced. But your Gollum is a work of art, a thing of utter horror, I can scarely believe how good it is nor how unutterably disgusting. You have created a wonder that I, for one, never want to meet on a dark night.

I can't help thinking that T based Bilbo's trouble in the Goblin's tunnels on his memories of being in the Trenches during WW one. if my back ground information on him is correct

Your voice was clear and understandable, you kept it nice and lightly sounding (you didn't sound angry, or bored with the story sort of) so it kept me interested and emphasized words / phrases along with different voices for the characters. You're a really good storyteller.

When you realize this is the second copy of the chapter. In the very original publishing, Gollum willingly offered the ring as a prize instead of Bilbo finding it. Amazing how one retcon can create such a popular fantasy series.

Love the way you captured the vibe of the Rankin Bass animated gollum. This was my first introduction to middle earth and will always be my favorite version of him. Andy Serkis was incredible but there’s something about this version that is so much more creepy
This is the chapter that got me into Tolkien. Six Grade required reading. I'd been more of a Sci Fi Nerd and only started getting inyo Sword.& Sorcery/Fanasty. Then I found out my sister's three books with the trippy weird 70's covers I always looked at thinking "WTF?" were LotR.😮😂. 🤓😎✌🏼

I dont care for this book, the story is fine but it gets hard to read and easy to forget at points, but this audio makes it SO much easier, thank you
