A horrible draft probably one of the worst drafts they have had in a while only because of round 1
Bo nix was the worst qb in the draft idgaf about fit or what Sean Payton wanted we needed a real dual threat game changing atathlete at qb to compete with mahomes
A : It would be A+ but QBs are always so difficult to find. In my book, Bo Nix is a perfect fit for Payton's offense. It will not hurt having Franklin, who was Nix's primary WR in his last two years in college.

@@rougedragonboss8289 I have seen both Nix and Penix play in person and Nix is a better QB than Penix. My bachelors degree was from UW so I should be a Penix fan but Nix is just a better QB. NIx is highly skilled at reading the defenses very quickly. He has a much quicker release than Penix. Also, Penix tore the same ACL twice in college making him a highly suspect when it comes to availability. I see Nix an the best QB in this draft.
I absolutely loved this draft. Bo and Troy alone was beyond exciting. After the top 100, you can tell their strategy was take talent that should've gone earlier, letting guys fall to them. The only pick I really questioned was Elliss, but it has less to do with his ability than it seems like we already have players like him on the roster already.
We didn't stupidly trade up for JJ. We kept Surtain. We didn't give up future high rounders, AND, we get John Franklin-Myers for a bag of chips. One of the best drafts I've seen from the Broncos. It really seems like Payton and Paton are gelling together.

Abrams-Draine was shockingly good for a kid I'd never heard of. He was one of NCAA football's best kept secrets at CB. He's small, but after a couple years in an NFL regiment? This kid could be special. We need guys like Drew Sanders, Riley Moss, and JL Skinner to step up this year. It just has to happen.
Remember Darrent William (RIH) he was an undersized CB and was having a pro bowl career before his untimely death.
@@rodneybryant3270 That was my guy. That was right after our season ending loss to the 49ers I believe. Gut wrenching loss that took us out of the playoffs, then Darrent's murder. He was on his way to becoming a Pro Bowler alongside Champ. Miss that cat. He woulda had a long career in the league.
Wallace is now here and he is a starting caliber CB.

@@78LedHead Got that right. Moreau was good for like one or two games. After that he was not very good. Guess the QBs figured him out.
We got a offense lineman and a TE as a UDFA. So that will help

I'm excited to see the 3 headed monster Denver will have at RB. Williams has mix power and speed, McLaughlin is a speed demon, and Estime is a down hill thumper. Payton loves having multiple backs that can do a variety of things. I love the Franklin pick too based off of the fact that he and Nix already have chemistry and familiarity with how each other play. That's gonna help them out tremendously during training camp and pre season.
I agree with the grade tbh we got the number 1 qb in college stats wise. We got some offensive firepower and got some other good football players it looks like. We just need to keep building from the draft I’m done with over paying aged out FAs

For whatever reason, they didn't trust Javonte at all in the redzone. They barely used him. Estime is that guy. He's that mudder who can rack up TD's in goal line situations and 1st downs in short yardage situations.
You have to remember that RBs who come back from the kind of knee injury that Javonte Williams had take 2 years to return to where they were. He came back even earlier than doctors predicted. You could tell the strength just wasn't there. I think they will alternate him and Estime this year to keep them both fresh, which will wear out defenses in the 4th quarter.
Good grounded analysis, I’m so tired of everyone else pulling out the crystal ball on Nix (and all the other QBs really), as it anyone really knows. But we needed a quarterback and we didn’t reach to get him (looking at you Carolina). Would’ve liked to see more defense though
Estime had an 80-yard TD in college. He has better wheels than people think. His Pro-Day 40 time was 4.58. He said he can go lower. Bucky Irving is not much faster than Estime and is 30 pounds lighter. You say you weren't fans of the seventh-round picks, but did you know who they were before the draft? The scouts and the team have put in work on these guys. Many people online give grades and reactions based on whether they are aware of people.
Exactly. It's so ridiculous that fans who just watch games on TV turn around hours after a draft and presume to grade it. Even scouts can't grade a draft. It takes about 3 years before we know how good a draft is. This guy actually said this was not a deep WR class & he's grading Sean Payton's draft. I wish these UA-cam draft gurus would stay in their lane instead of pretending to be on par with NFL scouts. I've been analyzing college players for almost 50 years, predating Mel Kiper. I actually know a few thingss too, but I don't consider myself to have the knowledge base that NFL scouts do. And in spite of how much they know, they are frequently wrong. Yet some dude with a mic in his hands grades these things a day after they picks are made.

Prognosticators are seldom right ! With 6 quarterbacks taken in the first 12 picks, Bo played his butt off for Oregon. Numbers 45 Td - 3 Int !!! Are you kidding me ? SIGN ME UP

While the team was lacking in pretty much every area last year, one area they lack alot was the defensive o' line, I wonder what they're going to do to plug the holes there, broncos defense was a porous as they come last year

It's crazy how Broncos Country is so excited about this draft, and yet the national guys are so cynical about it. Are we all wearing our orange and blue glasses? Honestly, I think Broncos Country was even more pessimist about the team than even the rest of the country realizes. We have expectations. And this feels a LOT like we made a huge leap in the right direction. So now we actually have a reason to keep our fingers crossed, watching intently to see if this works, rather than just saying, welp, no reason to pay too much attention this year......

B-, overall. Denver does not value pass protection (McGlinchey's pass pro is AWFUL), so I don't see the level of success for Bo Nix that I do for QBs who enjoy competent pass protection. It's going to be difficult to blame Russell Wilson for all of the offense's shortcomings this year, as he plays for the Steelers, now. That probably won't stop Denver fans from blaming Wilson, anyway.
I think the Falcons did us a favor by forcing our hand.
The Broncos were going to pick Bo regardless. ATL's decision concerned them because they thought Penix was LVs choice and may force them to move up. They believed JJ was going to MN as he did.
