Before the fight I felt 95 percent sure that Benavidez power would not carry up to 175. He better stay at 175 or he will end up taking some hard losses at 175. Beterbiev would stop him.

David just needs to let his hands heal and get back with Memo for his next fight. His physical strength needs to improve for these bigger guys. If you notice, Beterbiev used physicality to stop Gvozdyk. He was using takedowns and wrestling to wear him down very early on in that fight.
David held his own at 175. He was punishing that guy. With David being at that weight he has to bring out a little more arsenal which he did. He can’t just walk through them guys at 175 but he can definitely get active with the top guys in that division. Once he gets acclimated to 175 I think he’ll be just fine. But it’s nothing really at 168 for David unless he fights canelo, or morrell other than that 175 is game for David

If he is a strength and conditioning coach, he knows that camp in FL with all those distractions didnt get DB in the cardio shape he is always in OR he overworked in that heat n humidity and left too much in the gym as it aint the private gym Seattle and yes it affects for those that havent trained in different areas. DB is a gym rat, he will work til he drops and someone needs to pull the reigns back there. You have to give yourself more time to recover from that heat and humidity, about 1.5 times at least or more recuperation time than Seattle. We all know DB can go 12 easy, 15 in the Plant fight if thats what it called for. He will need to add a lil weight training if he wants but will be fine vs Bivol who is alot smaller than Gyz and isnt that powerful either. One last thing, if youve worked out and taken care of yourself and dont have alot of wear n tear, 37 isnt ancient and those that have stayed in shape and reached that age will know that you can still be pretty tough n solid. David will be fine at 75, he will figure it out because thats the type of person he is.

I believe all these fighter's need to be fighting at their natural weight. No one should be cutting 20 or 30 pounds just to make a weight class. Floyd always fought at his natural weight he barely rehydrated on fight night

Benavidez extra walk around weight is a lot of fat. And he is on the light side in muscle mass. That's why he can still make 168.
