I’m a skeptic about most things and I have a real hard time with anything like psychic phenomenon or psp but I’m going to confess here and make myself sound crazy if that’s the word for it but I’ve had a reoccurring dream since I was about 12 that I was asleep in a strange place and I could hear this same, exact music so I get up to go looking for the piano and I open a big door to a room and it’s all white and someone is playing a grand piano at the end of the room. I’m 52 years old now and I still dream about the white room and the music. Say what you will.
The tip is the most touching episode, for me... Can't ever watch it without a deep thinking about how fragile is everything and everyone we love. Take care of yourself and your loved ones, always, or you life may be filled with pain forever
Always found Doggett more relatable than Mulder because he's not the supernatural guy whose first guess is already supernatural activity. He actually struggles to accept some things are beyond science and logic and I think that makes him an interesting character.

I only heard this music once when I watched the episode. At the time, I kept remarking to my wife that the music was haunting. I mean, Mark Snow always does a great job, but this was different. I just found it. Thanks to whoever posted this. This music is great.
Robert Patrick as Agent Doggett was one of the best things ever about this near perfect series. I hope to hell Doggett is in the x-files three movie. I like him better then Mulder even
Agreed. I stopped watching the series in first run after season 7 where I feel it lost itself. I did a front to back viewing though on netflix and was really impressed with Robert Patrick in the role of Doggett. I think they killed the show by still holding onto the Mulder character in the last 2 seasons the way they did instead of just moving on.
I still totally loved Mulder more as a character, but Dogget got a lot of shit from fans just because he wasn't Mulder. Even so, he was still a great character and probably the best replacement for Duchovny/Mulder. I really like his character.

You make it sound like Doggett had no personal attachment in the x-files series. Doggett not giving up on finding out who killed his son or the never ending battle to prove against the idea of the x-files is what made doggett fun to watch. More so when the x-files begins to drag doggett in deeper and deeper. Nothing against mulder I just like doggett better. Robert Patrick owned that role imo.
Info for everyone, its not so long when this and a lot of other original music from The x files was released on official 4 cd soundtrack set, presented by La la land records, im not trying to spam something, but i remember how i was looking for something from this awesome show and have no luck with that...
I think they both had their merits, but I got bored of the one man crusade by Mulder think it should have been Scully and Doggett from season 6 onwards. Robert’s acting was so moving at times and the chemistry he had with Scully was just 💋🤌

3,000 CD Sets were released in 2011, check E-Bay, but you will most likely have to pay up to $200 for the set, from what I have seen. I wanted to purchase a second set until I saw the price. I paid about $35 for the set.
Oh man, this is so sad. I just went to check out this set on LaLaLand and it's sold out but also the music from 4-D (the end in the hospital) is not included. That little piece of music is so great, I wore out my VCR tape rewinding it. At least they included The Field Where I died!

Do you have proof to suggest that most x-files fans did not like Doggett? If so I would love to see it. Doggett was a more realistic character and a by the book FBI agent. Very old school. Mulder was more counter culture and stood out more as being cool. Two dif types of characters but both were just as good as the other imo. The character of Mulder might be more popular than John Doggett but the actors that played the parts is a dif story.
Does anybody know the name of the song by the end of the episode? The one played when Doggett is with his ex-wife on the beach spreading the ashes of his son. It's beautiful, been trying to find it but no luck so far!!
I would have enjoyed watching 9 more years of Dogget and Reyes. They were both great IMO. Most of my favorite episodes are from season 8 and 9. To be honest, Mulder was petty and kind of a douche most of the time.

@iamhokum Those CD's were rare, very Rare. Only few 100's of CDs were on Sale for a limited time sometime around in Early 2011.
@pellinor47 No problem ! The first time i heard it, i fell in love with it.
Dogget was a great asset to the bureau. Not as good as Mulder of course, but not that far behind either.
I found John Doggett more compelling than Fox Mulder to be honest and want to see Robert Patrick reprise the character again one day.
