Sir, three-year cycles ? When I bought my last phone for Rs. 1.2 lakh exactly three years ago, I had decided to use it for 5 (FIVE) years !!! But these big companies have "planned obsolescence" programs, and now just when three years of my phone are about to finish, it has developed serious display issues. So now, if I wish to get the display replaced, because it can't be repaired, I'll have to shell out a neat 25K. Madness ! If I go by your advice, I suppose I can get a fairly decent phone which has "everything that I need" for around 25K -- but the dilemma for me now is what will I then do with this 1.2L worth White Elephant with a display I can't even look at because of the bright neon green virtical line which cannot be removed even by doing a factory reset ? It appeared right after the last software update. I tell you, I'm going through untold misery. I should never have bought such an expensive phone in the first place. I guess, such is life ! PS -- On second thoughts, I might as well name and shame the company. It is a SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 20 ULTRA 5G !!! Shame on Samsung !!!
That's soo true as a student I prefer to upgrade my phone anywhere from 3 plus to 4 years cause that's sensible. The jump is from 2019 to 2023 and that's a huge difference in my opinion. As my last phone was a 20k phone compared to current one which cost 75k. So the leap is substantial!
There is a huge jump in pricing. I bought Galaxy A52 4G one when it was launched. It costed 26K. Now its upgraded version A54 costs 37K! That too with Exynos processor! Looking at my budget, I don’t know which I should I purchase next. I never used Chinese devices nor I ever will. iPhone I used but didn’t like much. Gave it to my wife. Nokia is almost dead. It’s getting tough to buy a good phone now a days.
I'm not completely agree with him that people buy expensive phones just to show off. If some one like good performance of Galaxy S22 or One Plus expensive phone that doesn't mean he will usually show off. I agree need and want are both different things, but when it comes to gadgets People are more inclined to good performance. If they have a budget than they will surely buy good performance phones rather than to buy staggering phones under 15-20k. I know many people who multi-task on their expensive phone. At present good quality vlogging is not possible with budget phones so people move to expensive good performance phones. Moreover I will suggest not to get influenced by lucrative advertisements. Use your brain and go for the specifications you need the most.
My laptop - Bought in 2017 My Cellphone - Bought in 2019 Still don't feel the need to buy a new one. Yes I got my laptop upgraded (RAM and SSD), that's all.
I think the gadgets that we are using, should be reliable and trustworthy. It saves you a lot of time and gives you peace of mind. Which is really important. You can get a low cost device that has tones of features, but how good is it if you have to constantly troubleshoot it, upgrade it because it slowed down or broke, or hangs in middle of something important, or it does not support new things? It's better to invest your money in something that may be little overpriced but is premium end model to save you the headache and time rather than buying a cheap one that gets the job done "for now" and later gives you nightmares.
One of my neighbour class 9th student purchased a macbook pro M2 above 2 lakhs after constantly requesting to parents . Parents also to blame to listen to each and every childs request and given them blindly. Atleast teach your kids the value of money at the young age... Is so much powerful laptop is needed for a class 9th student ? . He is not in to video editing or any pro works. He is mostly playing only some games in that macbook pro & watching netflix movies and rarely he studies there. Our society is degrading day by day with the show offs and advertisements seen of devices.

These days most processor being good enough for chrome, zoom, excel, word etc, saying that 'it's all that counts' is a very bad advices. Any day, I'll prefer a slower processor with 16 GB Ram or more to a very fast processor with a 8 GB Ram. What's the point of the fastest and smartest processor that doesn't have enough RAM and crashes after 15-20 google chrome tabs?

I have not seen any one watching the camera so directly in a podcast

I still use my 9 yo laptop 😁
It's still usable and fast after an SSD upgrade.
💯💯💯
And I'm using my laptop from last 11 years with... yup SSD upgrade
@@sujeetchoudhary3882 what about battery?

Finally a wise and thoughtful comment...Exactly my view regarding smartphones but sadly the majority are those who buy smartphones just to showoff
In 15-20 k we have seen good smartphones in recent years.
Thats why Rajiv sir is the best techie 👌👌
My laptop - Bought in 2017
My Cellphone - Bought in 2019
Still don't feel the need to buy a new one. Yes I got my laptop upgraded (RAM and SSD), that's all.
Same here... Minimum upgrades to an existing device solves the problem rather than investing huge money on buying new ones...
I'm using a 4g phone since 5 yrs. I don't feel like replacing it, it's working nicely, just a lit bit battery issue which can be managed.
Mera phone next December main 5 saal ka hone wala hai abhi bhi ekdam sahi chal rahi hai no issues
I have got 90 percent devices all in mint condition from olx.....I have used fold 2 ..Bill was 150 around of 47k ..now looking for s21
I use gazets till they stop working at all, even after repair.
Mera toh 7 saal beet gaya IPhone 7 plus ke saath… still going strong… upgrading this year…
One of my neighbour class 9th student purchased a macbook pro M2 above 2 lakhs after constantly requesting to parents .
Our society is degrading day by day with the show offs and advertisements seen of devices.
im using dell Inspiron 13 inch 2 in 1 ultra book since 7 8 years. my first laptop during my MBA
That's actually great if you were able to do that 😮
@@rajshamaniclips yes it does everything except gaming. although i can play some less demanding retro & old childhood video games like GTA vice city, mustafa ,tekken 3, Counter strike that can run fine on my dual core i5.
it came wd an 4gb ram & HDD(as usual it kinda sucked at first)so i read abt ssds & ram upgarde and immediately did an upgrade to 8gb + Samsung 850 evo 250gb(1st ssd) . this ssd is still chugging in my desktop as my boot drive as i replaced wd 1 tb evo again in 2019

agree with every point
These days most processor being good enough for chrome, zoom, excel, word etc, saying that 'it's all that counts' is a very bad advices.
Any day, I'll prefer a slower processor with 16 GB Ram or more to a very fast processor with a 8 GB Ram.
What's the point of the fastest and smartest processor that doesn't have enough RAM and crashes after 15-20 google chrome tabs?
