The training from his family that others are disposable seems to be the biggest factor to me. I know someone who grew up so poor they were kicked out of every home they lived in for never paying the rent, suffered a few head injuries, was sexually abused by her father, and bullied by her classmates and teachers. She is actually a wonderful woman. Rather than be like her parents, she and her siblings resolved to be nothing like them. Thank goodness for that.
That’s the thing I find most interesting is the birth of empaths and narcissists. They both stem from childhood abuse and trauma but an empath grows to never want to make anyone feel the way they feel while a narcissist grows needy for control and making others feel the pain they did. It’s not an excuse for their vile behaviour however interesting thought that one path can create such different outlooks on life and personality

not that cute or funny, actually noticed it after reading comment only. But I see what you mean. Am indifferent to it though could be considered more annoying than anything.
I'm from the same city as Fred and Rose West, I had a hyperfixation on them and have found close to 30 women who almost fell victim to them, but their parents had decided to send them somewhere else, or picked them up just in time. I find them very interesting and collect books on them, I live fairly close to their old house as well and have kept updated on the places they've been looking into more possible victims as well.
I lost count of the children wayyyyy before Rose came into the picture 😭😭 But yes, I do agree with Kris, we need a special test that people need to pass in order to become parents. It would definitely lessen the amount of troubled and traumatized children.
The way I lit up seeing you were covering our local serial killer case is probably grounds for me to go back to therapy - but still, thank you for covering the West case! I can say categorically it's WEIRD how on the rare occassions we use the car park on the end of the street they lived on, and you can just see this big conspicuous gap between the houses today...
Also you absolutely said it wrong. It's pronounced Gloss-ter, and it's not a small town at all, it is a pretty decent sized cities (over here the distinction between a town and a city is whether or not it has a cathedral, and Gloucester Cathedral is both ancient and massive!)
Hi, I agree I go to the street and space so I can be close to my friend Heather, we went to Hucclecote secondary school together, I miss her so much, i went to that house looking for Heather but was told she had run away
It’s very interesting to see how people with similar backgrounds can become extremely different people. My mother had a decently similar childhood to him and she didn’t turn out a serial killer. My mother had a head injury as a young child from a car accident then had another concussion as a teenager I believe. She was bullied although her school years and her teachers treated her horribly. She had a very physically abusive and unstable father. Yet she turned out a wonderful person, quite mentally ill unsurprisingly but she is a great person.

Was so shocked to see this one. Being British obviously it’s a huge reference for serial killers here. I’m so shocked but happy this was covered. Not many seem aware of them outside of the uk. This was so good to watch!
They did the same thing with that Christie fella in Rillington Place in Notting Hill. The house was demolished and never rebuilt. A small garden stands there now. I wonder if in such circumstances the council purchase the land so it can't be built on again. There was a rather cruel joke about this going around at the time, which supposedly even one of the Royals was heard repeating.
You should also do an episode on Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo -another famous couple serial killers known as 'Ken and Barbie killers'. Its a messed up story
Fun fact: I used to go to what was the local college in the early 2000’s. Being disabled and a wheelchair user, I would have to go down the alley where the West house used to be. My mom HATED that that alley was the only way I could get into the building. She practically begged me to stop going to class just so I wouldn’t go down that alley.
This is such a sad case. I would 100% recommended watching the LADbible video “ living with britains most notorious serial killers “ it is a women talking who lived on the top floor of the house while this was happening. She talks about hearing the children screaming and actually went in to the basement but managed to a scape the house it is very interesting but heartbreaking ❤
Can I just say thanks to Kris for literally SAVING LIVES. With every video posted at least one life is saved or talked down from SH. Thank you Kris ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I hate people who murder their children, he should have been in intensive counseling as a child after his mom abused him. I also think he shouldn’t use his childhood to justify killing people and children.
you're literally the only person i can focus on for an hour and actually consume all of the information, this is definitely one of my favorite series on youtube right now
The way Kris says Gloucester is quite funny. I have friends who’s mothers lived on the same street as Rose west and knew her and their family. It’s crazy how close to me this all happened
Gloucester is just said as “gloss-ter”. I’m from Grimsby UK and that was one of the best attempts I’ve heard for trying to say that place name! I also can’t read in a moving vehicle so I love audible too!
She needs to do a video of all the killers for the 50s-2000s. Maybe even the DC sniper. It's wild how much killing took place when the interstates were built
I met one of the police officers that worked on the case. He talked about his experience as a presentation. He was one of the men that dug up the garden and the basement. He met them and was handcuffed to Fred when he showed the police where he buried his ‘wife(?)’. Also the fact that if they had dug in the other direction the first time, they would’ve found the body of their daughter that Fred had confessed to, and it probably would’ve ended there, and the other bodies may have never been found. Edit: also, we have a family friend that worked as a prison officer, and worked in the prison Rose is/was kept. Apparently she was quite flirty.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Kris and how long she takes out of her busy schedule with the move and everything to study this stuff, finding a way to make this stuff interesting and fun to listen to, make the video, and publish it. Also credit to Jay for making it so interesting to watch 😛

Hi hun, can I ask did you know Heather West at all as I went to school with her
Kris you dropped this

lots of good advice on how to not be killed by serial killers in this series.
“Putting him into a 7 day coma, or a 7 day karma AM I RIGHTTTT- 👏🏼” made me laugh
Or a week karma idk
Omg
Kris:”driving around in an ice cream truck van as a new job”
Me :being a girl in england hearing an ice cream truck outside 😳
We’ll never think of those ice cream vans the same again
Bro real
I lost count of the children wayyyyy before Rose came into the picture 😭😭
But yes, I do agree with Kris, we need a special test that people need to pass in order to become parents. It would definitely lessen the amount of troubled and traumatized children.
Wanna start a petition to get a test in place before you can be a parent?
Spot on. It's a choice. Some o one way (like your mother) others go another way but get partly excused because of their "traumatic past"
We all know, that Oompavile is waiting outside the room, listening to this story with a bowl of popcorn and a soda
Dr pepper specifically
Oh god, this wasn't far from me in the UK. They still think there are body's to be found in sites all over Gloucester. 😢
So worse than Jack the Ripper
"bounce up and down on a bus drivers prndl" 😂😂😂😂😂😂 god you just crack me up sometimes!
Kris talks about hard topics but still makes it enjoyable to watch her and the stories she has and I love her videos 🩷🩷
I literally LOVE true crime but almost never have the attention span to watch them, but for some reason i could sit here for hours cause kris tells the stories so well😭😭
#1 the fact that you can find all of this information is remarkable but scares me a little bit. #2 it's very clear that Rose West is NOT a girl's girl. Also, Kris if you could respond to this comment in any way, thank you! I love watching your videos. I also love the videos that you and Celina make together because they always put a smile on my face even when you two are talking to ghosts in haunted hotels.
"Bouncing up and down on the bus driver's PRNDL" made me lose my drink. I love it
Idk but when you said "Mamas boy" i immidiately thought of
"🎵M A M A B O Y, mamas boy, mamas boy-🎵" 💀

Nobody does true crime quite like Kris. Thank you for putting in so much research and effort to make these videos, they’re definitely my favorite from this channel.
Check out Mr Ballen. Another exquisite storyteller about the ‘strange, dark and mysterious.’
He's truly just as good as kris. If u see this please watch the video on the Cranbrook freak accidents. It's my home town and it's just completely forgotten
Anyone notice how she’s adopted some of Caleb’s mannerisms? 😂 it’s adorable 🥰
She's always talked like that lol they're just really similar
-5:30 DEFINITELY OOMPA
i’ve been waiting for someone to say this 😭
@@MrsGordonFreemanit’s not the way she’s talking necessarily, it’s she does the same exact cuts and does the side cam when making a joke, I mean whatever idc but there’s absolutely more then just talking similar….it’s everything. I mean even down to the how she handles mispronunciations, hey if it brings her success which it does I can’t hate but yeah Caleb inspired alot….i mean alot of her video style currently
I've been thinking the same for a while, but at the same time, I feel like she's always been like that? But I've definitely noticed it more the past couple months. No matter what, it's adorable.
I swear ever since you and Oompa starting dated you've started to act like him. It's hilarious 😂😂
It's almost hard to believe that any person could be this bad, let alone the fact that you could be living in the same town as one
i find this so interesting! as my auntie was their next door neighbour and would see them especially fred sat outside the house just talking to people passing by. I also find this so interesting as i’ve grown up with everyone telling me what happened but not a lot of details and living in the city knowing that these sick people were just walking around makes me feel so lucky that they were caught, Fred west also built the sports hall of churchdown academy the school i went to and it went round that he had actually hidden one or some of his victims in the walls of the gym.
Wtf that’s sick
no f***ing way! That's terryifying
Why is it that the only thing famous to come out of my home town ('Glos-ter') are serial killers and Nathan Sykes
I know right - only ever hear Gloucester mentioned if it’s in relation to these 2 twits.
Literally I’m from Gloucester as well and that’s all I hear
They won't get the ster part more sturdy, works for in Brits
So serial killers…
Mainly for a reason, and that is "serial" youtuber who "kills" it with her talent 😲💪💯
If someone tries to kidnap you kick and scream
-Callmekris
These two (words I can’t say on here) are the bogeyman for British people, they’re still spoken about and it still manages to make you throw up in your in your mouth no matter how many times the story is told, my parents still remember them on the tele and how angry and just horrified the whole country was
Why do I feel like parents would tell their children if they were misbehaving rose and Fred will come after you if you don’t stop that? 🤷🏼♀️
When kris said caroline i literally got so scared because i was half asleep when she said that 😭
she sad caroline as I was literally reading this
The way you said Gloucester had me laughing :D
But no one told Kris it’s Gloss-ter!! I’ve lived in Edinburgh for a long time and am so used to folks from overseas calling it Edin-burgg, I don’t even care anymore!
same 😭
She got the "ster" bit right, which is a nice change. So often its a "chester".
"There's never mistakes in this channel, only happy little accidents" - Kris
@@ajports Today I learned...you don't pronounce it "-chester"...heh.
This is one of the longest UA-cam videos. I have watched that was not a World War II documentary or a podcast with people that I look up to or want to hear from having said. Kris this was absolutely beautifully done. I was holding onto every second thanks.
29:41 , that low key made my heart drop cause my moms name is heather ann.
I would appreciate subtitles at the bottom. Not forcing you, Kris, and Jay. Having subtitles helps me focus more on what you're saying, Kris, when you're doing these deep dives! Thanks 😊
The closed captions are pretty accurate if that helps 😊
@@harenhallharfootnot fully though. I try to watch with them, but without proper punctuation and sometimes correct words, it confuses me, and I can’t read properly without them..
@@baffledbatyou might be having issues with the closed captions because of all the changes in the words she had to do to make it possible to upload this video.
Like instead of suicide, Kris said “slewerslide” and the closed captions said slew slide. Otherwise the closed captions are pretty accurate when she isn’t having to make up words so it can be uploaded
Same
Imagine that woman who got away from them reported and pushed harder with accusations, so many lives would be saved... This story gave me chills omg, so much pain
the fact, she is good at mixing humor and seriousness in such deep and tragic stories is truely remarkable
Was so shocked to see this one. Being British obviously it’s a huge reference for serial killers here. I’m so shocked but happy this was covered. Not many seem aware of them outside of the uk. This was so good to watch!
Same it’s weird all the murders u hear are from different country’s really so it’s an eye opener to say the least stay safe🥰
@@Mrs.salvitore123 yeah I grew up hearing of Fred and rose west haha. It was just mad to see it covered!
I remember this all blowing up.
I lived in Leeds near the Yorkshire Ripper murders, it would be fab to see Chris do a deep dive on him.
Fun fact... My father was one of the officers on the rippers case. Said it was one the most horrid cases he'd ever been involved in 😕
Same! I was really excited to hear kris talk about this one being from the uk myself. I’m hoping she covers the moors murders at some point as well 🤞
The way she says bury gets me every time
They did the same thing with that Christie fella in Rillington Place in Notting Hill. The house was demolished and never rebuilt. A small garden stands there now. I wonder if in such circumstances the council purchase the land so it can't be built on again. There was a rather cruel joke about this going around at the time, which supposedly even one of the Royals was heard repeating.
Kris needs here own crime channel ❤
Kris is by far the best UA-camr and I’m so excited to see her cow👹🎀
You should also do an episode on Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo -another famous couple serial killers known as 'Ken and Barbie killers'. Its a messed up story
Fun fact: I used to go to what was the local college in the early 2000’s. Being disabled and a wheelchair user, I would have to go down the alley where the West house used to be. My mom HATED that that alley was the only way I could get into the building. She practically begged me to stop going to class just so I wouldn’t go down that alley.
I love that Kris whenever covering these horrific cases that she gives all her love and respect to the victims and the victims families ❤❤
the consideration and remorse Kris gives to the victims is puts the human back in humanity ❤
LOVE YOU KRIS
I never listen to true crime, but when Kris posts true crime stuff, I’m so interested in it. Love you Kris❤
Why does Kris always make them more interesting? Genrally I'm not interested in this kind of stuff, but i enjoy her videos.
I absolutely love when Kris does these true crime videos 😭 she’s so good at this she should make a podcast
YES MORE KMK TRUE CRIME DOCUMENTARIES!!
I love Kris talking about these topics, she uses trigger warnings correctly and isn't disrespectful about anything
“Given the 9 lives of a cat a birth”
Couldn’t agree less!
With every video
posted at least one life is saved or talked down from SH. Thank you Kris ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Real. I would watch her anytime I wanted to sh. I started when I was 12 and stopped eventually. I'm now 15
I didn’t know who Oompaville was until Kris.
He is now one of my favorite UA-camrs.
Thank you ❤
@Afterswiftie This was the original comment a corn bot stole this comment
I hate people who murder their children, he should have been in intensive counseling as a child after his mom abused him. I also think he shouldn’t use his childhood to justify killing people and children.
Also placed in foster care, until he was 18.
She’s one of the most underrated UA-camrs out there istg❤
“Who tf has six hamsters!?” GURL THATS NOT THAT MANY😭
YES IT IS
But still..😂
It is if they don’t have a very good and large habitat with a lot of hiding places
you're literally the only person i can focus on for an hour and actually consume all of the information, this is definitely one of my favorite series on youtube right now
The way Kris says Gloucester is quite funny. I have friends who’s mothers lived on the same street as Rose west and knew her and their family. It’s crazy how close to me this all happened
AYEEE MY FAVORITE SERIES IS BACK
Yep

It's like Kris was there to see all of these stories irl, with the amount of detail she gives!!! Love ya kris xxx
Kris got that Paramore look with those red bangs. LOVE IT!
i think kris is the only person who both can tell geniuene truecrime cases with humor slapped in without making it too disrespectful.
Check out @thatchapter. He is amazing at it too. Been a fan of his for years
100% agree

i cant find a good crime podcast so i just keep watching these videos because her voice just explains it very prettily
Just looking her way out of jail
I love the way she says ‘buried’, so cute
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Kris and how long she takes out of her busy schedule with the move and everything to study this stuff, finding a way to make this stuff interesting and fun to listen to, make the video, and publish it. Also credit to Jay for making it so interesting to watch 😛
Loved the way you pronounced Gloucester, it sounded much “posher” than the way we say it in the uk (Gloss-ter).
I LITERALLY LOVE THIS SERIES WITH MY WHOLE HEART
YOUR SO PRETTY
Honestly I love Kris she always has the best things to say when it comes to discusting people ❤
Oooooo, I have heard of serial killer couples, but never this one. These videos are always very entertaining and informative. Love tuning into your videos, Kris!
