I hope she never loses her British accent! I love it, it’s part of her identity and it’s part of her personality.
She'll never lose her accent. She's over 30! If she did, it would be on purpose.

That's... not how it works
She still has it but it’s not as strong in my opinion.
It's you that got an accent. She speaks perfectly original English
She made fun of Americans without being conceited. Now that’s called humor 😀
YES i am an American and i laughed when she made fun of Americans.
But you don’t realise, she was using humour to mask genuine feelings
You know someone is something special when they make fun of you and you just love it.

She knows and that was a joke
The Mad Pie seems to be one of those guys who laugh thrice of a joke: first sometime in the middle while it's being told, as we all do, second at the end, together with everyone else, and somewhat later for the third time - when he understands it; though in this particular one, he still hasn't reached the third base.

I typically don't care about celebrities in general, but something about Emily Blunt and John Krasinski is just adorable.
You have an interesting observation about celebrities since most of them - if not all of them - live a life that doesn't really connect with the general population. I am old enough to have witness the huge shift between the lamba people and those celebrities between the 60s and now, when they were the real spokemen of major social issues to the point goverments were almost afraid of them (Lennon for instance). Now, they are totally harmless in every sense, just funny for fans.
Exactly. Me too I don't care at all about celebrities but as you said there's something in them make you feel comfortable and for sure u wish all the best for them.
Also Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.
When I was 17 I needed a one-year visa so I could come to America as a foreign exchange student. I had to answer all these questions online, before I was invited to the embassy to get the actual visa. They ask you all these questions about whether you have had any problems with the police and such, which I guess is fine... it's possible to find out. BUT then they ask you "Yes or No, are you a terrorist?"
Who the hell is going to admit to being a terrorist? I wonder what happens if you say yes as a joke. Maybe you'll get kidnapped and taken to Guantanamo. O_o
+stiras1 Well, how much does it cost to ask a question? If they catch even one terrorist that way, it's well worth it!
thevoxdeus Yeah, but no one in their right mind is going to say yes even if they actually are a terrorist. Even a person with considerably low intelligence would understand that it's not a good idea.
id stay the rate of people who answer yes as a joke is probably higher than the rate of actual terrorists answering yes. so id guess its actually counterproductive.
Hahahaha

No, they are not. I beg to differ.
I love her she's so hilariously adorable here especially with the DQ question.😂
To all her interviews I see her soooooo elegant and graceful.
Her accent is less British now
It's only because she's married to an American and spent 1/2 of her time in America and the other 1/2 in England. When you're around the American culture that much, it's bound to make you lose your accent a bit. It's not like she trained herself out of it. It just happened due to circumstances.

noticed how nobody laughed when she said that British are better? I mean c'mon America, you can laugh at the whole world but when someone makes a joke about you it's not funny anymore? grow up!
+zoodiac57 As a rule, Americans don't get satire. It's a cultural thing. They tend to take it literally. Just look at the comments where most Americans thought she was actually serious about that and the dead silence in the audience. The American author Bill Bryson lives in the UK largely because literal-minded Americans never get his humour, whereas Brits do. Also witness the Butthurt reactions whenever Ricky Gervais makes a satirical joke about a celebrity.
They didn't hear it. There was residual noise on top of it.
@@konczk Oh c'mon now, Christian. That's like saying all Brits know how to make in the kitchen is vegemite toast and tea. I'm American and I laughed when she said it. Yeah, I laughed at Benny Hill years back but also Monty Python. I love P.G. Wodehouse. But I also got a kick out of Withnail and I. This idea that Americans don't have a sense of humor or satire and irony or the ability to be self-deprecating is a worn-out old trope that, in my opinion, most of the time is the refuge of a Brit who's failed to be as funny as so many of his otherwise brilliantly witty countrymen. Sure, there are some of us that don't "get it" when a subtle joke gets floated. But there are dolts like that in every demographic. At the same time, plenty of U.S. entertainment thrives in Britain, just as lots of 70s British television had a solid U.S. fanbase decades earlier. Time for that stereotype to be retired.
And P.S. to that, I think Ricky Gervais is a genius and always have. The same for Stephen Merchant and Stephen Fry for that matter. But I also love Bill Bryson and count his Short History of Nearly Everything as one of the top 10 non-fiction books I've ever read (it's much better than his book about Britain, by the way). And again, I'm from Philadelphia.
@@jackster1212 you, sir, are an intellectual. I appreciate ya
1:00 when she said McConaughey shows up like he’s going to safari. I can totally imagine that in my head.
Emily Blunt is a national treasure, and now she's OUR national treasure. Well, we're splitting custody with England.
As a brit, I've got to say, she will never be American to us, not even semi american. She just wouldn't be Emily if she were an american (by blood) part of what's so great about her is just her perfect britishness, but it's great that you guys like her too.🇬🇧
@ Andy S
There is no such thing as British or American or Canadian or Italian or whatever by blood. Or well, there should not be. It used to be, but if we continue with such an understanding, it will just keep the world racist. Also, when it comes to Americans, most of them are descendants of Europeans. So, the 'by blood' argument really fails, when comparing Americans with Europeans. Lol.

All rise, all rise, all rise hahahaha. I really hope that gets back to him. On another note, they're really still doing renouncing? They did that crap with the Japanese during WWII. It's kind of embarrassing that's still part of becoming a citizen. Seriously, renouncing the Queen of England?
+Freeden They do that with other countries as well. At least the US lets you apply for dual citizenship. There are 25 countries that don't allow that.
+Christopher Morris I find that to be rather silly, particularly the "with us or against us" thought. I don't think I'd renounce an allegiance just to prove that I'm not an enemy.
Christopher Morris It's not really the same. And I don't think people who come here have to renounce where their from. I don't really get the stabbing in the back issue. How does an average person "stab" America in the back? Say, for example, you come from Canada. Is it really imperative that you renounce being a Canadian? Like I said, it sounds too identical to when they were making Japanese in this country renounce their allegiance to the Emperor in Japan, even if they had no allegiance. It's archaic. If they're coming to this country to be citizens, they obviously want to be Americans. I get security concerns, but we already have ways of handling those issues.
Christopher Morris That is why there is such thing as dual citizenship.
+Freeden As an Englishwoman it makes sense to me that you would renounce the monarch to become an American citizen. The U.S. quite rightly identifies very strongly with being a REPUBLIC with a federal political system, thus it is only fair I.M.O., that you show your acceptance of such by rejecting the sovereignty of another nation.
Her name is not Emily, her name is Captain Marvel!!!

I know, bro. I am well aware of the whole 'silent racism' in Britain, particularly England. I lived there for like a year, although I didn't face any racism, except this one time, when a guy came out of nowhere and started abusing some Chinese people that I was waiting at a turn signal with. Lol. That kind of racism just didn't seem British, coz the whole subtlety of their racism is what makes it difficult to easily identify it in general ...
