    Nice build Terry. I admire your attention to detail and quality. Bench looks good and strong. 👍

    Beautiful! Are you still planning on making a video for the back fence?

    • @Terrythemaker
      @Terrythemaker  Рік тому

      Hi, yes I’ve since made the back fence and a dust collector box, I will put this up on UA-cam at a later date. We are currently relocating and my entire workshop is in storage hence the reason I haven’t put out any new videos

    Hi Terry, since this video I noticed you have added a hood to collect excess saw dust. Is it helpful in collecting excess saw dust and did you keep the dimensions of the hood?

    • @Terrythemaker
      @Terrythemaker  2 роки тому

      Hi Paul I’ve just read your other comments, I will do a video on it I promise it’s just getting round to it. the hood looks massive but it needs to be if you want to be able to swivel the saw from left to right at full angles, Plus it’s also connected to my CamVac at the back to a dust collector hood built into the base of the bench with 4 inch hose.

    Hi Terry, was your mitre saw calibrated straight out of the box?

    • @Terrythemaker
      @Terrythemaker  2 роки тому

      Almost, tiny bit of adjustment to fence

    Hi Terry, do you use the Kreg R3-INT Jig for your pocket holes?

    • @Terrythemaker
      @Terrythemaker  2 роки тому

      I use the Kreg R3 which I believe is the same

    Hi Terry, why did you site your Mitre Saw on the right hand side of your bench and not in the middle? I'm curious as when finances are available I am going to build a Mitre Saw table which will be literally exactly the same as yours so I need to know what advantages there are as to where you position your saw on the bench top.

      Because when cutting long lengths of wood i tend to cut off the short part (off cut)to my right. So the main piece is resting on the left fully supported 👍🏼

    Do you have a plan for this miter saw bench?

    • @Terrythemaker
      @Terrythemaker  Рік тому

      Hi am afraid not, I must admit I don't do plans, I tent to have a plan in my head and work to that, Ive never really been one for plans, its more fun the way 🙂

    Terry, why have you left the gap on the back edge of the bottom panels?

    • @Terrythemaker
      @Terrythemaker  2 роки тому

      Hi Paul, I left a space at the back for storage, I will be doing a follow up video because someone asked me only yesterday and you will see exactly what I mean. I’ve actually made a lot of modifications to that since I made that video which you may see in see in some of my other Videos, it now has a dust hood, extraction, and clamps fitted. 👍🏼

    Nowt wrong with that Terry, certainly not going to fall apart.
    If you don't mind me asking, what model is your Camvac, it seems to handle your thicknesser ok or am I missing the bits where your cleaning up

    • @Terrythemaker
      @Terrythemaker  4 роки тому

      Hi Allan, thank you ! I have two CamVac’s, I have the small 36 litre single motor and the larger 55 litre double motor. I tend to use the smaller one for my bandsaw, bench sander and mitre saw and the larger one for my Triton thicknesser and lathe. The larger double one with both motors switched on works really well with the thicknesser and doesn’t leave much clean up at all, but you still end up with a small amount of chips on the floor. But what a difference it makes having it on, I sometimes forget and the mess is incredible. I highly recommend the double motor 55 litre. I will add the model numbers later today when I can find them. 👍🏼

      The CamVac model numbers
      CGV286-3 (36 litre single motor)
      CGV336-4 (55 litre double motor)

      Hi know Paul, I plan to, but I’ve had lot going on in my personal life which has stopped me getting into the workshop, I went out there today for the first time since April, which you can see on my instagram 👍🏼
