I had no idea the PSIO could be interfaced with the PSOne. Looked it up. For anyone curious, the PSOne motherboards apparently have the pins for the serial port, but it is unused. You'd just connect directly to those pins. Awesome. I might resurrect my old PSOneP with this in the future.

And you can play basically all PSP games on a modern android smartphone, but people rock PSPs still because it's cool. Sometimes you do something because of the sheer rad factor, not because it's the most practical thing to do. A portable real hardware PS1 is pretty rad
