On the males, the hook is called a ‘kype’

Powerbait tip. Cast out far. Then, move the bait a foot and a half in, every few minutes. If there are trout watching, they won't let it it get away. If you have an ice ledge, cast onto the ice, reel until it falls off. Then repeat the move every few minutes. It's a good way to work an area

After a while one should replace the power bait as well

@SamongYangOutdoors was the first buck in the video a rainbow? Also if you don't mind me asking what state is this fished in. I would kill to catch big trout like this man and always looking for new areas to explore. The environment in this video looks absolutely breathtaking.

Worm and marshmallows, with some Mike's glo scent salmon egg juice, or sometimes shrimp oil poured on
the bait, is also very good for that exact place you're working.
Powerbait on one, worm and marshmallows on the other.
We fished those exact waters for many years, those two in tandem will get fish every time.

Tip for you, when using a spoon it should never spin, if it spins you're reeling too fast, a spoon should only wobble side to side, hope this helps and thanks for all your vids, I like the products you post in the description, might purchase some Kestrel products!

Take a page from steelheading. Use spawn bag netting and magic thread. Pre-made power bait balls cover with netting then trim exces after tying the spawn bags. Most excellent for circle hooks or j hooks. Good luck Chao Faa!

I do a lot fishing here in northern california and it is hard. Steelhead run has a spring and winter season. Winter run is the biggest run here in northern cali.
