Finally Sagan is able to ride Paris Roubaix without a crash, a mechanical, or some other random bad luck. Hate to talk what if’s but, If Kwiato never nipped Peter at the line at Milan San Remo last year he would have won a Monument in each of his 3 years in the rainbow bands.
I saw him lying on his back during the TV coverage, and I thought to myself, that doesn't look like a crash. Unfortunate, Rest peacefully, Michael Goolaerts.
because tt is an individual effort, breakaway isn't (to large extent). Sure, a solo breakaway is "solo effort", but who's going to chase? Which team will start the chase? A lot of chess match going on, and everyone is trying to conserve their own team's/leader's energy (which is why you see breakaway forms, but usually pulled back in before the end. Sometimes a team sends someone to attack just to force other teams to chase). Then you have to factor in the route's feature like the cobble and climbs (which we don't usually see in TT). Roadies might not realize it as much, but line choice and bike handling can potentially save a lot of time and effort. Sagan has demonstrated time and time again he's very good at punching and then still holding a high pace (form gaps, then hold high pace to maintain gap). He's been good at cobbles before too. That's just a few things off the top of my head, but yeah... road racing with peloton isn't always about raw power and numbers like TT.
“The list of victories in the Flanders is now complete” WTF? Please get a cycling fan to do the voiceover so you get it right & pronounce Sagan properly. I expect more from the Official channel
Well done Sagan!! Keep kicking everyone’s ass especially on the tour!!

DEP Goolaerts. An Amazing race with de fantastic ride of Peter and the emotion of cobbles, but the most important is the left of our mate. RIP
Rest in peace Michael Goolaerts...

Peter Sagan #1 yellow Jersey @ Champs-Élysées stage Tour de France 2018
Not gonna happen. He would need better team support and less body weight to pull this off.
Are you that stupid?
Luís Paredes ?
Cycling is boring without SAGAN
Take that, Tom Boonen!!
He wishes.
Peter the Great.
jesus learn his name, you are butchering his name. pronounce is saghan
if sagan can pull off these kick ass breakaway/solo victories, why isn't his tt better? just curious
His TT is pretty good when it needs to be-he won the ITT at the Tour of California the other year.
Usually saving his energy for stage wins on tours and knows he wont beat TT specialists
Guy McArthur o damn didn't know that
I think it all has to do with the toughness of these races.

Also Stuyven. Or someone who can at least read the KM marker to know that Sagan broke away at the 54 not 53km mark
and the first if the ardennes is NOT le fleche wallonne and is amstel gold. bit dissappointing coming from a official tour channel
