I really like Osis style, for me his first wildcard for GBB last year (when I discovered him) should have placed higher. At first I thought that his video may have been edited to sound like that, then I saw him in a battle on stage and realised that he's just a beast.
Yeah, I think both of his wildcards should've placed higher, I honestly think it's mostly because he wasn't super well known around that time, if the judges had known him I imagine he might've placed higher (not at all a jab at the judges or anything, I just feel like there's always a small amount of bias toward beatboxers that people are familiar with)
@@jadenlothes It's understandable tho, they go through so many wildcards in a short period of time that their brains must be tired. And it's easier to absorb information of things you are familiar with
His first wildcard was good but it was most known routine. However osis second round was insanely good but i feel like a judge or two may have taken it to seem “disrespectful”. Majority of beatbox reactors completely avoided his second round.
When I first found Osis, his sounds were great but his structure was difficult to follow. Ever since one or two years ago, his structure got perfect and now he's flawless
I can see where you’re coming from at 7:35, but vibration bass and throat bass are different things. They sound similar and get used in the same context a lot, but vibration is a subharmonic produced with your arytenoid cartilage and throat bass is vibrating your false folds with your normal vocal folds. Personally I find vibration bass to be a lot more relaxed feeling.
Osis style overall is fire and i love it, i hope one day he gets the opportunity to step on the big stage. And yeah it reminds me too the "i want my money back" from Dlow and Codfish routine
Anyone wanna explain why Osis got his phone and camera in top of his pants pointed at the Cam 😂… 10:10 I think you’ll get a better tone out of your Liproll if the mic is placed on the side the liproll is done for you
Bro I loooove your reactions you are so thorough, direct and has a nice background to come to your analysis!! keep them coming!! Just one question, is your audio and video not properly synced or is it me here?
