I’ll never forget the years I listened to this song on repeat. I was so lost. I lost my brother, I tried to commit suicide. I was on cocaine constantly and alcohol. I had no cares for myself or this strange existence. I lived under a dark cloud in an abusive relationship and on the road to utter self destruction. I gave my life to Jesus Christ and I have still had my ups and downs but I cope better with Him than all those destructive things. I pray it gets better for anyone reading this. My life has been lots of suffering and pain but now God is my hope even in my most darkest hours. Love and peace to you all.
Painfully beautiful. I was asked to pick a song to play in the funeral home for my best friend who committed suicide and without a second thought i picked this. Best decision I've ever made. I can't thank Dry Kill Logic enough for helping me through such a painful tragedy. I hope your soul has finally found peace my brother
Now that I Face the world with pain inside Strange but I Can't understand the reasons why. Forever is A world that I cannot describe That Died the time we said goodnight. It makes no difference, wrong or right The time has come to say goodnight. And how could I Be so sure but be so wrong? And how could I? Have a will so weak with a mind so strong? And Only I Can tell the difference right or wrong. It makes no difference, wrong or right I guess it's best we say goodnight.
Tamara Hayward I have a friend that has agreeded to play this at my funeral. Nobody else but he is aware of this pact. Everyone will be quite suprised if he shows up and just starts playing this. Lol But it’s very fitting. Everyone I know. Knows I never say goodbye. Good yes are forever. Goodnight is untill we meet again. Sorry about your son. God Bless your strength.
In every angry album an artist always shows another side. Just like Pantera. The suicide note songs. One heavy one soft. It's all relative to the feeling they have at that moment. This just so happens to be the best Melody combined with sick guitar riffs that only professionals can pull off.
@@grandoldsoul4691 not ONCE did he say that guy said that, he could have just made an observation and said the video uploader decided to showcase the wrong album
This album brings me back to high-school years...when life was simple and the only worry I had was what concert was I going to this weekend and will I make it home without the cops pulling me over cause of the lingering stank of my smoked out Bronco 🤘🖕
Remember we dedicated this song to each other, not knowing which of us would go first but both accepting our feet were on that edge as far forward as they could lean. You won, now a year ago this past February. Even though I’m closer to falling off as ever, you choosing to go sooner made my feet grapple at the ground beneath me just a little stronger. I love you, always. Free of the restriction that enwrapped and pained you. You promised we would go together, but something made me hold out in spite of having health conditions and a chronic pain disease that has progressed to absolute immobility and sorrow. Yet in spite of all of this, I’m still here. You chose your weaknesses of a more self serving controllable path and made the decision to jump off of the deepest end embracing what you knew was on the other side. You didn’t try whilst I’m still trying just to catch my breath every second of the day while my disease eats away at any lingering life I still protect within myself to feel worthy of having. Your body is no longer yet your spiritual imprint is with me and visits my dreams just to refresh my memory of you that always was and will always grow fonder 🕊
I agree, the pic from their other album fits this song well. It's my fav acoustic song with Cold - Bleed, Staind - Epiphany & Alice in Chains Unplugged as runners up, brilliant & beautiful.
Cold is amazing and deserves all the praise they can get. I've been a huge fan since I discovered them 23 years ago when 13 Ways To Bleed Onstage came out. The album almost instantly changed my life and also helped to save it...shortly after I discovered they had an album before it and immediately went out and bought it and loved it just as much. I've loved everything they have put out, even amongst all the member changes, it still remained Cold because...and I mean this with all due respect to former members who contributed to the cumulation of their musical catalog, but Scooter Ward IS Cold. After seeing them in concert on 4 different occasions with the fifth happening when they hit the road again next year, I have been privileged to become someone Scooter actually knows and much to my delight, treats as a friend. My hero, the man who saved my life more times than I can count, now knows me by name and seeks me and my fiancee out at shows. It's a mind-blowing thing to have happen let me tell you. Regardless of that, he is still my hero, and even though I know him better now, his music continues to help me everyday. Even with the many, many, many bands/artists that I listen to (I have a CD library of well over 2,000 albums) Cold is at the top. I imagine that's where they'll stay after 23 years. Jesus I feel old 😂 sorry for the book, I'm just super passionate about Cold and it's frustrating how close they got to rock superstardom during the Year Of The Spider era due to the success of "Stupid Girl" and "Suffocate", but Geffen records screwed them before they could unleash "Wasted Years" as a single and video which many in the industry had predicted would do for Cold what "It's Been Awhile" did for their peers Staind. I'm still mad at the people who worked at Geffen at the time...and even though they've continued to tour and make quality albums, they can't seem to recapture the glory that was once so close to being within their reach. Hell, Scooter did vocals on the song "Far Away" with Breaking Benjamin and it was number 1 on the rock charts for weeks. You would think that would bring more attention to Cold and boost their popularity but nothing major has come of it. They did just this year have a very successful 20th anniversary tour for Year Of The Spider, but it's not like they were playing coliseums 😔 Scooter seems pleased though with the fanbase that his love and understanding has amassed over the years. I guess if it's good enough for him, it should be good enough for me 🤷 Eh, just a thought. Sorry again for the book. But thank you if you did read this far
This song was my way of describing how I felt to people when I couldn't verbalize it myself, after my mother passed away from lung cancer when I was 16 years old. ❤Please tell your friend that it will never get better, but eventually he will turn around and realize it doesn't hurt quite so damn badly.
Tis a night is eye glasses that we share aside the weary strives we emit awhile this same life. The home is made secure. The roads a consistent vibe. The trees remind the survive. The tolls when bells save us from, tethers tangling inner fights so down where our conscious tries, abyss awhile ....
