Where do I begin? This is such an emotional song for us and Jimin I believe and I could not be prouder. Jimin himself has wanted a solo debut for around 7/8 years now and it's finally here only this is just his pre release. To know Jimin anyone would know the meaning behind these lyrics. Firstly Jimin has one of the most unique voices ever, I can honestly say I have never heard a voice like Jimins anywhere else. He is the one that you'll always hear doing the higher adlibs in the backing vocals but also has a voice in his song Serendipity that is just so pretty and haunting, has been known to stop babies from crying and there is video proof too. Ahh I'm just so proud of him. Jimin over the years has received many death threats for many reasons, his vocals, his inner beauty (known as a charity Angel) and his outer beauty. He's even made many men question their sexuality, not me though, I was queer before I saw him lol. His family have even received death threats, there are huge accounts dedicated to hate on him, blogs that were unable to be closed and video channels that will discuss how awful Jimin is at everything when that is simply untrue, so Jimin being from a contemporary background with that natural high range was pretty much tied down to not being fully able to reach his potential. He said in an interview about how he had been held back due to BTS. That doesn't mean he doesn't like BTS, he loves them & being with them so much but I think this song has that meaning behind it, being set free to become who he wants to be and do what he wants to do now. "It's begun, MY prime time" as the lyric said. He has been mocked for his vocals so much, people calling him a woman because he can hit the highs that most men can't and because he has both male and female qualities and beauty. So it was beautiful to see him tell those people to basically fuck off for mocking him. Obviously with BTS they have such a clean image, which idols have to have, they're expected to be perfect and they are but now it's Jimins time and his pretty image in this song has become darker & to the point where the fighters (dancers) are the ones trying to hold him back. He was pushed and grabbed by them in the video, obviously representing his label (don't get me wrong, he loves his company but also knows there were limits he had to abide to within the group) and his antis and at the end you see him re-emerge in white as if he were reborn. I myself was NOT expecting this from Jimin, especially the cursing because Jimin is the cutey sexy lovely sweet guy we've all grown to love but there is also the side of him that he had been so desperate to show us, the darker more raw & and explicit side that he had to lock away. I'm loving it! He has the main track coming out on the 24th along with his first album and will be appearing on Jimmy fallon 2 nights next week. Thank you for watching this. 💛
